wala pa akong offer sa ngayon eh,waaahhhh!I just turn down the other offer,maybe di ko pa talaga time...

Sis ibig ba sabihin nito hindi na pwede magaaply as skilled worker ngayon?

oo sis,kase di pa sila magpa-process for sure sa 2013 madaming manganagilangan ng skilled workers nyan...woooohoooo!

this is not really a sad news... mas sad yung ang taas ng expectations sayo to be granted a federal skilled worker's visa, you have to pass a certain level (points?), invested time and money, sacrificed your work then biglang pagdating mo dito they won't even recognize your profession. That is even sadder... kaya daming doctors, lawyers sa ibang bansa, cab driver sila or sa tim horton's nagwuwork, although there's nothing wrong with that. But professionals came in canada with high hopes, kasi para kang dumaan sa butas ng karayom eh, then biglang ganon.  They should re-evaluate the law.

pwede pa naman sis eh, as long as you have a job order from Canadian employers. other applicants kasi are applying as immigrant under FSW, kaya stop muna nila ang FSW ngayon kasi daming backlog. style kasi ng iba, mag immigrant muna dun, bago hanap ng work. that is not what the Ministry of Canada wants. kung dati, mas madaling mag apply as immigrant under FSW, ngayon reverse na. Mas mainam if you have a job order and temporary foreign worker ang apply mo. But, still, it isn't an assurance na you will be granted a visa. May kasabayan ang hubby ko, as FCA, na reject sya. pero currently working and manager din siya dito sa mcdo.

^but was it easy to get a job order? I'm clueless on this... I'm sorry. I'm just talking of experience and don sa mga naririnig ko from other pinoys na din na taga dito. Although I didn't come here under FSW, I've met a lot of pinoys na under FSW and they really struggled finding a better job or at least a job close to their profession. 

I haven't heard of job orders except don sa sis ng friend ko na pharmacist (which is a different story). Other than that, wala pa. Dito kasi I find, mas pinapaboran yung mga andito na, or taga dito na, or nagaral dito. Except of course if you're in the medical field. Kasi imagine, for example, why would they get a hotel manager from another country eh andami naman pwedeng maging hotel manager dito.  Or maybe dito lang yun sa quebec, I'm not sure. anyway, I'm still hoping that they would reinvent the immigration laws.

tama si sis roxycarlo  yep people who migrates had a hard time finding jobs kasi iba doo iba dito.. hindi nila napaghandaan mentally at emotionally na iba magiging work nila..

as for us trying to get there mas ok na nga talaga makahanap ng work para productive na agad...

took your advices sisses.. eto i had a productive saturday afternoon at work kaka send ng resume sa mga ads sa job bank.. sana talaga me sumagot sa kanila...

An super dami na din kase na mga natabunan na immigrants application,Well six months is mabilis lang naman then by that time madami din siguro silang kakailanganing foreign workers....

the best way to go talaga is to find an employer.

sa mga sisses who went to work as food servers etc on a working visa (not sponsored by relatives).
Ilang years or months na kayo in Canada? Meron na bang nagPR na?

I'm a bit doubtful to apply as food server when I heard recently, that a friend of a friend of mine did that too, pero after a year, hindi naman naextend yung contract nilang mga kasabayan nya, so uwi rin sila.  Siguro depende rin sa hiring company, saka kung talagang magstep-up ka sa work mo, pero ayun nga lang, wala rin talagang kasiguraduhan.

Ayun lang, inaaral ko kasi lahat ng pwede kong options papuntang Canada...

^i have a friend who started working in vancouver ng 2007 under working visa, not as a food attendant, she's a spa attendant. last year lang sya nagfile for PR, i think.

really?...Well yung offer kase sa akin I haven't read the contract pa...
Wala ba sa contract nila yung length ng service nila?

Depende siguro sis sa company?(not sure though)

ok, mali yung pagkaintindi ko sa question. sorry. hehe. pero if that's the case, hindi ba pwedeng maghanap ng ibang work then renew the visa? hindi naman siguro papauwiin agad.

^hmmm, I think pwede nga sis. Pero di ko masyadong alam pa yung process nyan hehe. Kailangan mo yata mag-exit sa US or somewhere, or umuwi ulit dito sa pinas para iprocess ulit yung working visa mo.
Siguro mas ok din kung yung contract mo is 2yrs na.

base dun sa policy ng tita ko(they owned an agancy na nagpapaalis ng DH from HK to CANADA)After two years of working there you can get your family here,..though not so sure if after two yaers pwede ka ng mag-apply as PR...

pero Live in caregivers yata is okay,I mean they can get their family kahit di sila PR yung job nila is entitled for this...(My cousin's case)

Talaga sis? Bakit ganun katagal? Or ganun ba talaga katagal? Hehe. Or baka pwede na sya magfile na dati pero now lang sya nagdecide na magfile?

Yup sis, caregivers have higher chances talaga of applying for PR there. In-demand talaga yung profession na yun dun.

mga sis, just want to let you know that there are different options here to apply for pr. one is to apply as provincial nominee (depende sa province). kahit one year ka lang nag work pwede ka na mag apply ng nominee. so sa mga kakilala nyo bakit di nila alam yun. or baka sa malalaking city sila napunta kasi nga naman marami ng immigrant dun kaya di sila ma grant ng pn. so advice ko lang kung pupunta kayo dito mas maganda sa mga maliliit na provinces kayo mag punta at least maraming chance na makakuha ng pr.

^well sis, yung friend nga ng friend ko sa Ontario kasi napunta. Nung nag-apply kasi sya sa agency, hindi naman din kasi sila makakapili kung san province sila mapupunta e, kung san lang sila madeploy.
