full time work here is 35-40hrs/wk, 7-8hrs per day 5x a week. but this doesnt mean M-F only, some jobs require work on weekends also (with a weekday rest day) depending on the nature of work.

the three jobs mentioned here are mostly part time work. part time work can be a couple of hours per day, several days a week (not a full 5 days). then there's weekend work also. so in essence, a person can work a full 7days, with 2-3 part-time jobs.

 kasi dito sis kaya nakakaya yung 2-3 jobs kasi no choice they have a a lot of bills to pay so talagang kakayanin. and another thing is pwede ka makakuha ng job dito na 4 hrs lang like sa fastfood, cashier, etc pwede ka ring mag cleaning by the hour naman ang bayarin dun so lets say 2 hrs per house, so extra money din yun.

dito kasi sis mga company naghi-hire sila ng kahit na short hours kasi yung iba nahihirapan kumuha ng worker unlike sa pinas super dami ng applicant pero walang trabaho.

i have a friend nga and she's 46 na at that time she is working 24 hrs. 7 days a week. ang trabaho nya ay companion and 2 ang client nya isa sa umaga and isa sa gabi. ang ginagawa nya lang talaga ay mag prepare ng food then maupo maghapon at manood ng tv sa gabi naman same din pero she has her own room para dun sya matulog. biruin mo single mom sya at napag-aral nya ang 4 kids sa college dito, although hindi sabay-sabay pero nakatapos na lahat. ngayon nakabili yung isa nyang anak ng house and lot worth $500k and 3 kotse nila.

dito pag madiskarte ka at masipag hindi ka magugutom, hindi ka mawawalan ng pera, hindi ka maghihirap.

^add ko na rin pala dito walang age discrimination sa work kaya makakakita ka ng nagwo-work sa fastfood na may edad na talaga or sales people na ganon din.

kung sa pinas naman din siguro at may choice tayong mag-apply ng trabahong part-time for a few hours na walang discrimination sa age, gender, looks...lol! maraming mag-apply di ba?

can you help me? been reading on several threads about going to canada.. and been talking to some friends from there.. talagang best advice nila is i take a short course if me budget so i can really get a good job..

san mura ang community colleges? sa ontario cheapest 1 year course is $12,800 in humber in ontario.. naka pag inquire na ako sa centennial, seneca, george brown..

any school you can refer me to? im planning to take human resource and wireless technology kay hubby to be..baka mas cheaper sa provincial colleges... since we will live on our own din.. ayoko kasi mag impose sa relatives ko..

^hindi pa free yung short courses? si hubby kasi parang nakadalawang short course na ata sya.  lumapit sya sa governement tapos may assessment ata then naka enroll na sya

i feel so envious for those people, lalo na sa mga kakilala ko na nakapag work abroad sa canada or australia  dahil sa petition or tulong nga mga kamag anak nila. I hope and pray na sana dumating din ang panahon na mabigyan ako ng ganyang pagkakataon, or kahit mga kamag anak man lang sana na mag aadvice kung [textspeak!] gagawin para makapag work abroad, hindi magdadamot. May mga kakilala kasi akong dahil sa tulong ng auntie or uncle or kapatid kaya nakapag abroad, nakapag aral or nakapag asawa.  Hindi ko naman lubusang gustong magwork sa canada kung hindi lang sa healthcare benefits at mas magandang pamumuhay. Just thinking lang po, i feel down and sad lang kasi parang ang hirap makapag abroad ngayon

^ hi sis.. don't be sad.. ako nga submit lang ng submit ng CV kung saan-saang canadian job search kahit walang pumapansin sa akin.. LOL! malay natin may biglang magka-interes.

Though I am hoping na makapasa sa MPNP. May free consultation nga ko sa CPNIS this June.

kikai: sis,mas maganda talaga sa community college kasi mas mura saka hanap ka ng mas malapit sa lugar mo ang tip ko sa iyo apply ka early tutal you can do it online lang naman eh or by mail. ako nga i applied 2 years earlier kasi ang hirap makapasok.

ako naka 3 courses na ako sa community college 2 short courses and 1 full year. binayad ko lang for 1 year is nasa $1,200.

sis oceana, patience lang. ganun talaga pag nag aapply abroad. remember, the work there is much better than here, or i mean, same workload here, but the pay there is way much, much bigger, kung baga may patutunguhan talaga ang pagsisikap mo there. just keep on applying. would you believe i spent 2 months applying/sending resumes everyday to indeed.com, elutajobs.ca and canadajobs.com before i got a job offer? same goes to my husband. mas madaling maghanap/magpass lang ng resumes than waiting for your visa, i tell you. tatawagin mo talaga lahat ng santo pag dumating ka na sa stage na yan. don't worry, canada is still open in hiring foreign workers till 2014.

i tried emailing 2 of my relatives.. not directly telling them im fixing my papers.. more of im checking community colleges and im reviewing for ielts..alam nyo sagot.. go for online classes!!! hahaha i thought they will tell me we'll help you!!! obvious na nga kulang na lang sabihin ko im applying to go to canada!! hay, care giver pa din kasi naiisip nila entry point!!

hindi ko talaga forte hindi sa maarte ako.. ask me to teach pre school or special kids kaya ko pa gawin..

sis based sa research ko kapag immigrant meron sila talaga ibang rate or almost free ata.. they call it 2nd careers.. ako kasi lalabas international student kung sakali..kaya my tuition fee would be twice!

ah ok. alam ko nga yung second ni hubby is accounting certificate. free sya with allowance. PR yung husband ko and sa manitoba sila. konti siguro din kasi tao sa kanila at wala masyado nag-aavail ng scholarship. hehe

^sis, what is your field of occupation? mahirap na kasi umasa sa relatives, kasi din baka iniisip nila na naghirap din sila para makarating sa kanilang kalagayan ngayon, kaya medyo hesitant sila to offer help.. if you have experience in teaching, why don't you apply? but i think kasi teachers there have to pass din a licensure exam. im not sure ha. mahal mag study dun sis, sayang pera.hehe. my cousin ang ginawa niya, is apply siya nurse dun, she got a job offer, then at her free time, pursue nursing equivalency classes, now she is a certified nurse there. took her 2 years to get the Canadian nurse title, kasi she was very masipag -- balancing work schedules and studies. minsan nga, tumatawag siya na hindi na niya kaya dun ang status niya, but she managed anyhow. now, very stable na siya, earning more than what she dreamed of, and having a good life. kaya bilib talaga ako sa mga persons having 2 or 3 jobs, talagang will power lang yan.

@sis roxycarlo- im a psychology graduate.. nasa corp world ako but my early jobs was a pre school teacher =)..

my college bff is a head hunter for staples canada.. i just have to get my immigrant visa at me job in mind na daw sya for us ni hubby to be..but she still suggested we go back to school to take short courses in canada..
