i still have yet to talk to my lola about my funds..

centennial college replied na.. ok sa akin yung short courses nila..at me option to work..

hay tama kayo mga sis.. tyaga lang at keep on researching and reading..i already posted my resume on indeed.com, jobbank.gc.ca even sa workabroad.ph..

i got my application form na for ielts..bibigyan na lang daw ako ng review materials ng officemate ko..sayang lang din daw ang pera sa review center.. since english naman ginagamit sa office for correspondences.. i familiarize ko lang daw sarili ko sa british accent..

july target date ko mag ielts.. this june ako magbabayad bago tumaas rate nila for exam fee..

^yes sis, sa manitoba ka na lang. may husband is in winnipeg eh. puro foreign workers and immigrants. super lamig lang daw talaga pag winter pero masasanay ka din naman daw.

oo sis,yun din ang sabi ng tita ko na nasa vancouver na super lamig nga daw sa minitoba pag winter pero ok naman yung BIL and family ni hubby there,magiisang taon na din sila sa JULY!

about sa lamig, sanayan lang talaga yan. yung pumunta yung kaibigan ko dito ang pinaka concern nya ay yung lamig nga eh sa bahay kapag winter ay 18 degrees then sa basement 16 degrees (loob ng bahay sa labas mga -15 to -36 on regular days). so bimili pa sya ng sarili nyang heater...grabeh ha...dumating sya dito fall of 2009, pagdating ng winter at lumalabas sya ng bahay kapag 0 degree naka sweater lang sya at di na giniginaw. pag nag 21 degree sa labas di na makatulog sa init...ngayon ang problema nya ay pag mainit di na sya makatulog kaya concern nya naman ngayon pag umuwi sya sa pinas baka di nya kayanin ang init...lol!

im afraid kasi na baka pag pumunta kami dyan at min wage lang din sweldo namin wala din kami maipon kasi taas cost of living...

usually sis dito pag minimum lang sweldo 2 or 3 jobs ng mga tao. lets say stay at home mom ka naman pwede kang kumuha ng mga kiidies na alagaan sa bahay para may extra income ka. pag isang trabaho lang sis di kakayanin. rent pa lang magkano na aabutin, transpo pa, food etc.  saka depende pa yan sa lugar na pupuntahan mo.

although libre schooling dito, pati healthcare. sorry di pala libre kundi kunukuha sa tax natin.

pwede naman mabuhay comfortably if you just know how to budget.
kung hindi ka maluho, you can save pa kahit maliit.

if a couple naman is both working full time and receiving min wage, ok na rin 1 trabaho per tao. kasi it will not be worth it if meron ka anak that has to be sent to daycare, so even if you have 2-3 jobs, sa daycare lang mapupunta sweldo mo. the couple just have to manage time para salitan to take care of the kid/s.

nag-walk in ka ba sa CSIC? I sent them an email but they didn't reply. nahihirapan rin akong makahanap ng employer sa Canada. Ang reply palagi sakin is they don't want to sponsor bec the process takes too long. Pag naman nag-apply ako sa jobs not related to my work (service crew etc) wala namang nagrereply sakin.

my mom gave me their number and i set up an appointment..i was told to bring a resume with me.. little talkies about their services and promo.. then i paid 500 for assessment of my resume based on points system ng embassy..

with receipt naman yun na if i fail i get my 500 back provided i kept my receipt as proof..call them si ms rowie yung sasagot sa'yo.. mababait naman sila.. i went there on a sat morning kasi me half day silang office..

sis lonelymiss28 & sis rics: kakayanin ba kung both husband and wife ang may job (but minimum lang and sweldo) then may 2 kids (ages 1 & 5)?

ginagawa kasi ng mga pinoy dito na may maliliit na anak pinapaalagaan sa kapawa rin pinoy ang mga kiddies pero mura lang ang bayad.

lets say min is 10/hr (depende sa province), then rent nyo is $600 a month depende rin sa province ang rate ng rent. so ang matitira na lang ay 500+ eh pagkain pa saka transpo. kaya do the math kung kakasya yun. kung tutuusin di problema pagkain dito dahil mura pagkain dito (kung bibili ka ng mga naka sale mura lang). sa mga big cities mas malaki ang rent although mataas ang min like sa ontario yata ay nasa $12 na (i might be wrong) pero ang rent doon mas mataas pag malapit sa city nasa $1200 na rin.

IMO lang yan sis kasi yan ang experience ko dito pero sabi nga ni rics pwede naman so i guess depende na rin sa iyo yun. you san search online sa lugar na pupuntahan nyo kung magkano rent, magkano min and other info mas maganda na bago ka pumunta dito may plan ka na para mas handa ka.

by the way about renting, may sure na kasama na heat sa rent nyo kasi mamamahalan ka pag winter then kayo magbabayad sa heat sa amin pag winter we pay almost $400 sa electric and pag summer naman nasa $180, so ang laki ng difference.

in ontario, min wage s $10.75, so if you work 35 hrs/wk, you get approx $1500 gross per month. assuming net pay is $1300/mo na lang more or less.

a 1 br apartment is around 800-900+ all inclusive. basement apartment has lower rent. additional utilities would be cable, internet and phone + laundry. then factor in monthly metro pass.

a grocery/food allowance of $500/mo buys a lot already. although you still have to consider diapers and formula for you kid.

if you can sked work bet you and your husband alternately, it can work to you advantage since you do not need to bring your kids to a daycare. one of you can work mornings, the other nights.

mahirap but workable. kung hindi ka maarte and marunong ka magbudget, hindi ka maluho, makakaipon ka kahit paano.

im just wondering bakit pag dito sa pinas hindi kaya ng 2 jobs? sa ibang bansa hanggang 3 work meron ang tao
