mga sisses, advise ko lang po. di nyo na kelangan ng consultant para makapunta here sa canada. bukod sa malaki ang bayad sa kanila di ka talaga sure na makaka visa ka...nasa papel nyo talaga yan kung papasa ka or hindi.

about sa tie-up ng consultancy sa pinas at employment company here??? sa sobrang dami ng work dito sa canada, kaw ang bibigay sa trabaho sa dami ng pwede mong pagpilian basta hwag ka lang mapili sa trabaho sobrang dami po dito, pero kung gusto nyo po ng work according sa field nyo yun po ang mahirap dahil humahanap sila dito ng canadian experience.

kaya kung may consultant na magsasabi sa inyo na may tie-up sila dito chenes para lang dun kayo sa kanila, di nyo na po kelangan ng service nila...sayang lang po talaga ang money nyo.

im a technical writer..though im a psych major.. accident lang napunta ako sa field na ito..

@sis lonelymiss28-- yep i've read a lot of forums about discouraging on the use of immigration consultancy..

kaya lang concern ko is my field is not on top and if you backread my previous posts.. me consultancy ni refer ako ng friend ko canada based na nung ininterview nya ko via skype.. na trauma ako as if wala kwenta work experience ko..at sinabihan ako mag tourist at kung malaki na pera ko tsaka ko sya kausapin!! that rude!!

kaya nag hesitate ako mag apply on my own..

anyway, kaya lang naman lumakas loob ko when nagpa assess ako ng qualifications ko dun sa consultancy so far maganda naman point nakuha ko..but im not yet din getting their services pa..

kasi upon prodding and making kulit during the release of my results since nag research na din naman ako me nahugot ako info..

so i opted muna to take the next step na to take ielts.. kasi crucial part din ito..if i passed and pasok sa cut off requirement.. tsaka ako magdecide if i will pursue getting their services o hindi na..

at least i had the idea.. so far 40k TF nila.. so not that ouch ng sobra compared to others na 70k or more..

yung arranged employment- as i said in my previous post me tie up sila employment agencies and it will come after i get my immigrant visa..

i have asked my best friend from college to check the said agencies since ganun work nya dun..i gave her the details so she can do some background check for me..while i decide pa...

ayoko kasi umasa sa mga relatives ko...

why dont she try to lodge her resumes sa mga websites like workapolis.ca or indeed.com..hindi ko lang alam paano nya declare na me visa na sya..at hindi na sya need sponsor ng employer..

^Direct Hire -- application received/employer sends notification through email; if interested, employer then gets LMO from HRSDC, and contract and sends it to applicant. Applicant receives these through email then prints them, alongwith other req'ts needed, and sends them to Canadian embassy. Fee for Canadian Visa - 7kplus.. If okay, CEM notifies your AOR and sends you note for MR -- Medical Request. Applicant goes through preferred medical examinations in hospital/s accredited by CEM, and wait for medical results(3-8 weeks). If results are normal, the hospital sends you email that results are already forwarded to CEM for visa. If results are not normal, they will have additional tests again, which will incur for a month.  CEM notifies you when they receive your medical results (for Immigrants, but for those applying for Work Permit, they don't give notification). Wait for 3 weeks - 2 months for the visa. If successful, there are times that CEM calls you for an appearance, but if the VO is satisfied with your documents, they will issue visa immediately and send it to you through courier(Air21 or LBC). Sometimes, they send all documents back to you and therefore visa is disapproved/rejected after 2 months waiting. HTH

alam mo sis kung may visa na friend mo punta na sya dito at dito na sya mag-ipon. like what i said madaming trabaho dito sa umpisa syempre mahirap, pero tayong namang pinoy mabubuhay at mabubuhay kahit saang parte ng mundo.

pagdating dito kahit anong trabaho kunin nya para makapag ipon then pag marami na syang kilala dun nya palawakin network nya then magtanong-tanong about sa job na gusto nyang kunin.

Kikai: yung consultacy na sinasabi mo mayabang yun. di ka naman makakasiguro na makakapasa ka pag sa kanila kahit na 10k lang bayad sa kanila nasa papel mo pa rin ang basehan kung papasa ka or hindi. if i were you hwag as in HUWAG kang kumuha ng consultant una (1.) matatalino naman tayo para makaintindi ng nababasa natin sa website di ba. (2.) kung ano man ang sasabihin nila sa iyo binabasa lang din naman nila info sa website or newspaper. (3.) nakakaasar na sila bibigyan mo pa ng pera. "ouch!).

^you're right sis lonelymiss28. ang hubby ko nakakuha ng job offer sa Alberta without any help from consultancy/agency. tiyaga lang sa pag apply through net. mas mahirap nga dito sa Pinas mag apply, advantage talaga kapag andun kana sa Canada and there ka na mag apply. to all sisters out there, just try and try, submit your applications online, who knows, meron talagang tatanggap nyan kahit isa. sa 20 applications niyo, may isa talagang tatanggap nyan sa inyo.

may mga kakilala kami dito galing silang dubai, nag apply lang sila online sa burger king , nakuha sya as store manager then kinuha nya 2 kapatid nya ngayon ang dami na nila dito in a span of 3 yrs lang...magkakamag anak sila. kaya talagang tiyagaan lang wala silang consultant na kinuha or agency direct hire talagang swertihan lang din pero kung di mo i-try paaano ka makakakuha ng work so try lang talaga.

^swerte talaga sis, si hubby naman FCA sa McDonald's. i doubt kung makukuha niya kami ng baby ko. i think he should be at least a supervisor or manager first , before he can get us. i stopped my application kasi i cannot leave my baby here, my mother and in-laws doesn't want na iiwan ko ang baby ko sa kanila. kaya tiis muna kami, wait na lang sa kung kelan pwede na kaming kunin ng hubby ko. i have a JO din sa mcdo as fca, but di ko na tinuloy, kasi di pwede isama ang baby.

mga sis, hindi sa website ng comapany kayo mag-apply. dun kayo mag-apply sa jobbank.gc.ca or ibang website dahil by franchise ang hiring.

meron din dito sis, cook sa burger king pero nakuha nya gaad ang asawa nya in 6-1 year then pagdating dito since sponsored ang asawa nya pwede mag work kahit saan.

mga fast food na naghi-hire ng foreign worker:

tim hortons
subway
burger king

isip pa ako.

tip: dun kayo mag-apply sa mga small town at hwag sa city dahil malamang marami na nag-apply dun. try nyo sa mga province of nova scotia, PEI, new brunswick, manitoba.

^yes sis, sa manitoba ka na lang. may husband is in winnipeg eh. puro foreign workers and immigrants. super lamig lang daw talaga pag winter pero masasanay ka din naman daw.

^^^ah okay sis. si hubby kasi sa grande prairie, alberta. ako naman, ang tumanggap sa akin sa regina, saskatchewan. tama ka sis, dun sa mga provinces ng Canada, ang madaming nag hhire ng foreign workers. nakaalis na rin kahapon mga kasamahan ko sa mcdo, 3 sila sa nova scotia naman. the other one is at newfoundland and labrador. suggest ko mga sis, example go to indeed.com, search for mcdonald's alberta, canada. then submit nyo resume niyo dun. you don't necessarily have to register sa kanila, if you have your resume in MS word format, you can send them your resume, may email add naman na nakalagay dun sa company nila kung saan iemail mo your resume. that's what i did.
