sis ako kasi commerce grad ako 1st course ko then culinary graduate din ako...1 yr lang ako nakapag culinary here sa pinas kasi sobrang baba ng sweldo so ngayon nasa call center ako.... si hubby naman HRM siya kaso undergraduate siya e..sabi ni hubby kahit na mag room attendant lang siya keri na daw iyon...

ano ma advice mo saamin?

^sis, i am no expert at this, all i can tell you is that sa hubby mo, he has to  gain experience kahit di graduate, kasi kahit room attendant or kitchen helper, should at least have work experience. it doesn't matter how long. kasi yung barkada ng hubby ko na nasa Lake Louise, Alberta -- dishwasher sa Banff Hotel pero he was a bank teller here. Cause i think nowadays, before they consider to hire someone, they see to it that one has a current work. U are currently working now, db? why don't you try applying for Food Counter Attendant or kitchen helper (Wendy's, A&W, Fatburger, Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell). Try niyo sa Saskatchewan Province. Dami Labour Shortages dun. HTH

What is the easiest way to apply for a visa to canada? im a permanent resident here in the us and my boyfriend is also a permanent resident in canada. what would be the easiest and fastest way for me to apply to canada? should i wait for him to sponsor me? or i should apply as an individual? pls help po.

hi sis jhandee! been reading up on CIC..dami violent reactions sa ibang forums..

i'll just share itong csi consultancy visit said meron sila temporary arranged employment at least good for 3-6 mos pero immigrant visa naman daw..initially they ask me to submit my resume for evaluation ng hrsc daw at syempre me pay agad yun but with receipt.. na pag bumagsak ako balik binayad ko..

later i'll use my lunch hour to get the evaluation results..i know ive read in all other forums na dinidiscourage nila dumaan ng immigration consultancy.. for my part wala kasi sa top priority yung work experience ko..

even yung isang consultancy sa canada na ni refer ng friend ko yan din sabi.. ang sungit nga kausap..sinabihan ako mag tourist na lang muna at pag andun na ako tsaka daw nila ako hanapan ng work. kasi andun yung demand..but syempre afraid ako mag risk ng ganun..magastos pa lalo yun..

Talaga sis?wala naman ako narinig about bad experiences sa kanila, pero kasi ate ko nakikipag transact sa kanila , isang beses ko lang sila nakausap, dati kasi maganda talaga service nila, di ko lang po alam ngayon

@sis kwang sun-- yep after i got my evaluation..i started reading more nung guide from the embassy.. yes tama naman yung sa mga forum na mas better pa din directly ka mag apply sa embassy..

ako naman kasi yung skillset ko hindi kasama sa top na need like medical and IT field.. ika nga nasa in between..

and nasungitan na din ako ng isang consultancy na nirefer pa man din ako ng friend ko.. as in ang yabang- unang tanong- what's your occupation? , how much is your money?? mag aaply ka na lang ng tourist kasi yung work experience mo hindi yan yung mga iniisponsoran ng employers..pero dito (canada) madami opening na pwede ka.. pag andito ka na tsaka na lang tayo mag usap ulit!!

tipong huh! as if i"ll get your services pa!! kaya dito pa lang immigrant na aaplayan ko..

next step- take ielts -- i'll make pumasa muna ko before i get the services ni consultancy..

then gather all docs in between- school records, birth cert, police clearance, etc..

then prepare budget-- eto na yung napapabuntung hininga na ko..

fee ni consultancy total of 40k in 2 installments (stage 1 and stage 2)

tapos application form C$550 (Php23100) plus C$490 (php20580) @ 42 exchange rate..

in short dapat me at least initially 100k ka ready para diridiretso.. pang medical at pamasahe wala pa hay...

^correct at kailangan malaki ang pocket money. you never know what might happen. mabuti na yung handa pagdating sa pera.

I wonder how's the application process if direct hire...

^Direct Hire -- application received/employer sends notification through email; if interested, employer then gets LMO from HRSDC, and contract and sends it to applicant. Applicant receives these through email then prints them, alongwith other req'ts needed, and sends them to Canadian embassy. Fee for Canadian Visa - 7kplus.. If okay, CEM notifies your AOR and sends you note for MR -- Medical Request. Applicant goes through preferred medical examinations in hospital/s accredited by CEM, and wait for medical results(3-8 weeks). If results are normal, the hospital sends you email that results are already forwarded to CEM for visa. If results are not normal, they will have additional tests again, which will incur for a month.  CEM notifies you when they receive your medical results (for Immigrants, but for those applying for Work Permit, they don't give notification). Wait for 3 weeks - 2 months for the visa. If successful, there are times that CEM calls you for an appearance, but if the VO is satisfied with your documents, they will issue visa immediately and send it to you through courier(Air21 or LBC). Sometimes, they send all documents back to you and therefore visa is disapproved/rejected after 2 months waiting. HTH
