question: kapag tinanong sa on-line application form na "Are you legally eligible to work in canada?" does it mean na they don't hire foreign workers?

and another question: is it true na mas malaki ang salary kapag immigrant ka kesa kapag working visa holder ka lang?

sis tennisgirl, for your first question, they mean that if you have a JO and a positive LMO -- that is why they asked if you can work legally in their country. for your second question, same lang ang salary. be it foreign or immigrant. they just differ from the benefits, of course, an immigrant can enjoy thesame benefits as a regular canadian citizen. hth

ok lang ba na yung magsusuport for opur application as immigrants eh nasa Alberta while we will apply in Manitoba?....

^sis, one doesn't need to have relatives, although it is a plus factor, especially if you are applying as an immigrant. you can search online for canada jobs. at least for a nurse, one should have a minimum of 3years work experience, before one can apply. also take the necessary nursing licensure exams for abroad to qualify. What if makakuha ako ng ibang jobs online pero hindi nurse job? Okay lang kaya yun as long as may work permit,etc? Mahigpit po ba ang Embassy sa ganun?

!the work permit will come from the Embassy, so kung bigyan ka nila eh di good to go ka na. most placement agencies will help naman with the work permit. i have a friend in Vancouver na nag-agency going to Canada, parang receptionist sya sa Spa pero she graduated Biology. wala naman naging problema. i forgot lang the agency. her boyfriend did the same.

^varying time for LMO depends, actually. some - 4-6 weeks, some - 5 days, my husband got his after 27 days

sis i'm a nurse too. desperate na ko makarating sa english speaking country. i've been working here in the middle east for 4 years na. plan ko na rin kumuha ng job sa canada kahit hindi nursing job, or at least health related, kahit taga vital signs lang hehe! but i don't know how and where to start.

^wala akong relatives sa canada sis. nabasa at nadownload ko na yung mga forms. dami lang requirements kaya di ko alam kung san ako magsisimula. plan ko magtake ulit ng IELTS this year, pero not sure kung academic or GT kukunin ko.

ang pinakamadali sis is apply for a job in Canada through online. As of MArch 1, 2012 kasi, cap reached na for nurses, so there is no chance to come to Canada unless you have an employment offer with a positive LMO. dami hiring ngayon nurses ah.

LMO is Labour Market Opinion. It is stated in Service Canada - The (LMO) opinion assesses the impact the foreign worker would have on Canada’s labour market or, in other words, how the offer of employment would likely affect Canadian jobs.
An employer needs a positive Labour Market Opinion to hire a temporary foreign worker.

If you apply for a job in Canada, and an employer emails you that you got a JO from them, they will follow that up with an LMO and contract. usually, processing times vary. when Service Canada returns to the employer the LMO with a positive response, your employer will email you of the positive LMO, together with your contract. This is important because it is required by the Canadian Embassy to process your work permit. However, there are certain jobs that does not require an LMO. Google it na lang. HTH

My employer needs to advertise the job position sa Canada Job Bank daw to make sure that there is no Canadian who can qualify for the job.. It is required daw sa LMO process.. Keeping my fingers crossed na lang.. Hopefully, my employer sticks with me.

yes sis khymmmm. if no Canadian is open for the position, the employer can file the LMO na. ma aaprove yan sayo sis. ano ang inapplyan mo? kung LIC, swak yan. walang caregiver ngayon na mga Canadians. Di nila trip yang ganyan na mga work.hahaha.
