Cebu/Mactan/Bantayan Guide [Thread 12]

Hi mga sis! My bf and I will be in Cebu from March 18-21, 2012. I do not how to swim but my bf loves it so we'll be going to Bantayan. Ang question ko, how strong are the waves going to the island? Hehe. I'm kinda scared to ride a ferry/boat! Gaano kalaki yung mga boats? Nakayanan ko yung sa Palawan (underground and honda bay) kasi short lang mga 15-20mins lang. I heard 1 hr yung from pier to the resort. Hope you can share your boating experience going to the island. Target namin is to ride the 1st bus going to the port para maaga kami makarating. I heard calmer ang waves pag umaga.

Ferries are used from Hagnaya Port to Bantayan (Sta. Fe Port) sis, hindi naman maalon so no need to worry. Boats are used if you want to go island hopping from Bantayan to Virgin Island (and beyond). There was a lifevest in the boat that we rented to Virgin Island...too bad I was not able to get the contact details of our boatman...

Mga sis let me know if okay na ang tentative itinerary namin for our 4D/3N Cebu Trip:

Day 1: City Tour then check-in either at  Fuente De Oro, Roseate Pension or Sugbutel. Pag hindi allowed ang early check-in, iwan muna namin gamit sa SM Traveller's Lounge.
Day 2: Bantayan Island (we plan to leave as early as 6AM) either in Kota or Sugar Beach
Day 3: back to Cebu city and go to a hotel near the airport then go out and buy the pasalubongs and eat Casa Verde or Moon Cafe
Day 4: back to Manila (9am flight)

Okay na ba yan?

^If you will be staying in Sugbutel, they have a cheaper rate for left luggage than SM... php25 per luggage lang sa Sugbutel

^and mukhang mas safe sa sugbutel sis. dami ko na kasing nababasang review na may nawawalan sa traveller's lounge, engot din kasi yong iba pati valuables iniiwan gaya nong nakasabay naming nag-iwan don ng gamit.

btw sa sugubutel ba we can leave our stuff(yung 25/luggage) kahit di kami dun magcheck-in? i just saw TUNE Hotel's website and mukang okay din kaya nalito ako. Hehe.

^^nakita ko nga rin yang tune hotel sis pero mukhang may prob pa yong site nya kaya di ko ma-check kung magkano talaga rate. sa sugbutel parang mga guest lang sis yong pwedeng mag-iwan sa locker

mga sis, tanong po. sa mga nakapag skywalk na in cebu. nalilito kase ako sa website nila. meron silang combo, tapos meron ding sky ride rates (na hiwalay ang entrance fee/ride) yun combo 1 ba nila, entrance with 1 ride na yon? plan ko kase sana yun sky walk lang.

Mga sis, ano kaya magandang unahin ko, Bantayan island or Cebu city tour? 4D/3N. Dadating ako ng around 8 am sa Cebu then balak ko diretso na Bantayan: Sta. Fe tour/ Island hopping / Beach bumming ng 2 nights-- Feb 27-29. Alis ako early ng Feb 29 to go back to the main land. Then Cebu city tour: The usual tourist spots. Fly back to Manila on Mar 1, which is gabi pa naman, around 8:30 pm. What do you think? Thanks!

^sis, IMO city tour na lang muna kasi pagod ka pa sa byahe eh 3.5 hours yong bus pa-hagnaya then 1 hour ferry to sta. fe pa. mas ok din na maaga kang umalis pa-bantayan kinabukasan para mas mabilis yong byahe.

Hi again! Just want to ask if okay din ba ang Verbena Capitol Suites? Yung bagong bldg? Mura kasi 850-930 with breakfast for 2 na yun. And if we'll be staying at Sugbutel, may mga masasakyan ba dun as early as 430 am going to north terminal?

^meron naman sis nakatambay na mga taxi sa baba. maaga din kasi akong umaalis don kasi maaga flight ko. sobrang lapit lang ng north terminal sa sugbutel.

mga sis i called na sa shangrila mactan. 3k per head ang day tour nila..

ang problem ko ayaw nung isang kasama namin, (5 kasi kami) di daw kaya ng budget nya. baka my ma ssuggest kayo na resort sa mactan na mas mura or kahit sa moal boal (nalalayuan na kasi ko sa moal boal kasi ang dating namin sa cebu 5am saturday tapos monday 4am flight na namin pabalik sa manila so konting time lang talaga spend namin dun sa cebu)

my agenda na kami sa sunday.. gusto namin mag stay kami sa resort na may beach saturday morning tas check put na din sunday early morning.. any inputs mga sis?

^sis sa crimson, day tour nila is 1,500 on weekdays tapos 1,800 on weekends included na yung lunch buffet.. tapos sa BE Hotel sis, they have a day tour which costs around 500/head pero hindi included ang food. Then sa Imperial the last time we went there yung day tour nila cost around 1,900 nett per person on weekdays and 2,200 nett per person on weekend/holidays with buffet na yun and use of their pool.

mura yung sa BE Hotel. kaso magkano kaya ang budget namin sa food dun. since mag spent kami ng wholeday?isip ko kasi baka sobrang mahal din ng food like soda in can baka 100++ din?baka sobrang mahal ng pagkaen?

2nd option ko is crimson ok din sya 1800 included na yung lunch buffet
