Una, mga pamangkin ko from Angeles nagka HFMD..kambal sila so nagkahawahan....then yung isang nephew ko 4 months nasa manila naman..before Christmas ito. Then wala na sila HFMD come Christmas, yung sa niece ko tuyo na pero may marks pa rin..Reunion namin nung Christmas sa haouse so I have to bring my 2 years 7 months old son and  4 months baby girl...ngayon mmay lagnat na son ko and may nakikita nako reddish bumps sa mouth, feet and palms.. sana wag mahawa baby girl ko...

mga mommies iwas muna nyo mga babies nyo sa mga public places [textspeak!] malls, fastfood and other places na pwede nila mkuha ang virus na ito kasi talagang rampant sa mga babies ang ganitong disease.. i also have a 3 yr old son and sana di naman sya makasagap ng ganitong sakit kasi kakagaling [textspeak!] nya sa chicken pox.

my 10month old son had this nung new year. ang mahirap kasi sa kanya sumabay yung coughs and colds kaya nawalan talaga ng gana kumain tapos nagloose ng weight. he was exposed naman to my nephew who also caught the same disease. we had no choice kasi but to go to my in-law's house during the holidays. we just don't know where my nephew got his virus.

my daughter had this last year, akala ko nga dengue kasi sa talampakan, sa palad and sa loob and sides ng mouth yung rashes nya (good thing ndi) and was diagnosed nga as HFMD.

Matagal bago mawala yung rashes kasi matutuyo pa, and yung pag peel off ng nails kasama pala yun sa HFMD akala ko kasi kung ano na kasi tagal na siya magaling nung nag peel off eh.

More than 1 week din siyang absent sa school ng time na yun kasi baka makahawa and nung tuyo na nahihiya pa siya pumasok kasi ang dami pa din rashes..

New years day may HFMD son ko, up to now nag ppeel pa rin mga nails nya and dami pa peklat! argH!

My son has this now.. was just diagnosed Sunday and he got this from hi cousin. His appetite is ok and the blisters in his mouth are not that bad. but it breaks me to pieces to see the multiple blisters is his legs that are in far worse condition. it must've been so itchy.. minsan naiiyak nalang siya kasi i am not letting his scratch. the anti-histamine drug is helping reduce the itch pero un nga lang, seeing yung looks ng blisters sa legs ako ang naiiyak. i am coating them with bactroban 2x a day para ma-relieve kahit papano.. but we're planning to re-visit our pedia so we can ask kung ano mas effective na cream/ointment. i know parents of hfmd infected kids can relate na though viral lang ang disease na to, you can't help but be woried for your kids. just praying na mag-heal na ang sa baby boy ko *sniffsniff

normally gaano katagal and advise ng doc bago pedeng lumabas at makipaglaro sa ibang bata pag merong HFMD? un neighbor kasi namin may HFMD. TIA

gaano katagal bago lumabas ang blisters? ang son ko suspected hfmd ... ang taas ng fever nya umaabot ng 40... natatakot na kami pinacheck ko sa pedia kahapon may blister sa back ng throat pero konti pa lang kaya hindi pa ma conclude.. wala naman lumabas sa ibang parts ng katawan nya... halos ayaw na din mag milk... puro water lang gusto nya. round the clock ang fever meds nya kasi talagang shoot up ang fever nya...

My daughter had this a week ago. When I saw some red spots on her palm, she told me those are mosquito bites. I didn't really feel bothered because she wasn't feverish, her appetite was okay and she wasn't feeling itchy. She still went to school the whole week. Saturday night, she started feeling sick then had fever. On Sunday afternoon, nawala ang lagnat so I thought napagod lang and naambunan kasi the day before. At night, tumaas ulit ang temperature to 38 so absent na siya sa school the next day. We brought her to the hospital on Monday night when her temp shot up to 39.8. Nadiagnose na HFMD. So far, nawala na rashes sa palms ng hands. sa feet na lang. No rashes sa ibang parts ng body and no fever na. According to the resident when we were at the ER, dumami daw cases ng HFMD this year.

My son was diagnosed with HFMD last Monday. Ngayon dumadami rashes niya sa knees, hands and legs. Wala namang binigay na gamot just rest for 5 to 7 days daw. When I asked the pedia what to apply if itchy, calmoseptine daw. Talagang kusa lang bang gagaling. Sana hindi na dumami yung rashes kasi mukhang ang kati kati kawawa naman ang bata. Buti nga di affected ang milk intake tapos masigla pa rin. Medyo irritable lang pag nagiging itchy na ang rashes.

^ Hand, foot and mouth disease is a viral infection. Nearly all patients recover within 7 to 10 days without the need to give any medications. Although anti-viral medications may be given to speed up the healing process, usually supportive treatment lang talaga ang kailangan like, hydration, good hygiene and calamine for itch. Wag puputukin ang blisters para di magkascar and maiwasan ang transmission.
Important lang not to let your kids go to school for at least 1 week and get clearance first from your pedia before letting your kid go back to school to prevent the spread or transmission of the disease. Mabilis makahawa ang HFMD. It can be transmitted through secretions like sipon or sa blister fluid and even sa stool/poop. Mas nakakahawa during the first week pero may cases na nakakahawa pa rin kahit magaling na kasi matagal mawala ang virus and nasheshed pa rin ito sa secretions. Strict hand washing and good hygiene is a must.

my 6-month old son had hfmd last month.. galing kasi kami nun sa family reunion and hindi ko na alam kung kanino sya nahawa sa dami ng humawak at kumurot kurot sa kanya his pedia prescribed Isoprinosine (anti-viral) para hindi na lumala and Mupirocin (topical ointment) para sa rashes. Ok na si LO ngayon and no marks ng rashes na rin. Basta ang advice ni pedia, frequent handwashing talaga. Bago humawak kay baby, make sure na malinis ang kamay.

Sadly my 14 month old caught this last week. Inis na inis ako. Now he's forbidden to visit our tita's clinic kasi for sure doon siya nahawa. Can spraying lysol help prevent the spread of this? Kasi balak ko pa spray ng lysol if we need to badly visit our tita's clinic? My pedia din kasi doon so im sure doon siya nahawa.

Buhayin ko ang thread. My toddler has it now. Nagfever kasi sya kagabi low grade lang. I thought dahil sa bumalik na sipon pero pahirapan matulog magdamag e and kanina umaga napansin ko meron konti rashes na mukhang mosquito bite sa arms, fingers saka paa. Inisip ko naman kagat ng insect. Tapos nag fever ulit kaya punas na lang at di ko muna pinaligo. Then nakita ko may rashes sa singit and konti sa chin area. Ayun naisip ko baka HFMD. I informed pedia agad and sent him pics tapos confirmed nga 
Isoprinosine and Virlix ang prescribe ni doc. Sana wag na dumami lalo kasi nakakatakot yun mga pictures ni google. Nagwoworry din ako kasi I am 35wks pregnant pa hay. Kawawa tuloy si hubby kasi sya lang pwede mag alaga sa clingy toddler namin. Sana wag sya mahawa 

Sa mga sis na nagpeel off ang nails ng kids, sobrang dami ba naging rashes kaya nagpeel off ang nails ng kids nyo?

I was 12 weeks pregnant when I got infected by hfmd virus. I feel so worried about its effect on my unborn baby, though a lot of people told me that it would not cause any harm, still i feel worried, anyone here have experienced and could prove to me that everything turned out quite well with their babies? tia.
