Had my 6 month old aspin neutered at PAWS last month. I spent 1500 for the neuter (1000) and pre operation lab test (500). May additional fee pag pure breed at pag bigger yung aso. Kasama na sa 1000 na pag neuter yung meds nya. They gave us to meds. Yung isa antibiotic, yung isa nakalimutan ko na kung ano.

I decided to have the blood test because when I rescued my dog he was really sick. He had mange and was really anemic. I just want to be sure that he was healthy before the operation.

After the operation we went home and he had his first meal after 2 hours. Matakaw kasi ang aso ko kya kumain agad sya. Pero tinanong ko naman yung vet if I could feed him after the operation. He said I can offer him food. Hayun nag offer ako ng food at ubos agad. Kinaumagahan sobrang liksi na ng dog namin. Parang wala lang nangyari sa kanya operation. He was already playing, running and eating. 

Nag tanong ako sa UP Vet nung fees nila for spay and neuter. Mga 4000-4500 daw with the pre operation lab test. Di na ako nag tanong sa private vet kasi baka magulat ako sa price.

Had my 3-year old dog neutered sa partner clinic ng CARA sa Malate. Sila kasi pinakamura sa mga napagtanungan ko. P2000 ang rate nila for Aspin and P4000 sa may breed. We were expecting na P2k lang ang babayaran kasi Aspin talaga 'yung aso namin pero sabi nung vet may lahi daw kasi maganda 'yung fur. Mukha kasing golden retriever dog namin and ang laki pa, around 25kg ang weight niya.

So anyway, medyo bad ang experience namin sa CARA. Una sa lahat, pangit ng customer service ng clinic assistant nila dun. Siguro volunteer siya pero ang sungit at walang amor sumagot sa telepono. Kahit in person. Tapos parang 'mechanical' na 'yung pag-neuter sa mga dogs siguro kasi ang dami nila cases lagi bilang mura lang sa kanila. Parang wala na emosyon para sa mga aso but that's just me. Ang dami rin kasi mga less fortunate kababayan natin na nagpapa-neuter ng mga aso nila at for free para sa mga cases nila, which is nakakatuwa naman kasi talagang responsible sila.

Medyo mahal nga sa UP Vet, nagtanong na rin ako dun. Depende sa weight ng dog mo 'yung bayad kasi nga 'yung anesthesia naman nagpapamahal dun. Tapos bago nga i-neuter, dami pang tests na gagawin, titignan pa baka magka-complications and all. Iba pa bayad dun. All in all siguro aabot ng P5000 to 7000 sa UP vet. Ganun din ang range dun sa malapit na pet clinic sa min.

guys natry nyo po magpaspay/neuter sa vets na sinaggest ni sis quinone? tumawag po ako 750 lang for female cats and 500 for male cats. okay po kaya sila?

Was in PAWS 2 days ago. I had one of my cats spayed and a check-up for a cat that I rescued a month ago.

One of the workers mentioned of a free spay/neuter services on February 27 for "very poor" pet owners. Registration starts at 10am, and the owner must remain in line as they wait for their pets to be spayed/neutered. Better the owner bring his meals coz the waiting could take hours. First come, first served.

Requirements:
-certificate of indigency from barangay
- maximum of 2 pets lang

I heard mahirap magpaneuter sa PAWS dahil sa dami ng gusto ipaneuter pets nila sakanila since relatively mura sila? how long does it take to book a slot?

According to one of their workers, expect that your neuter/spay appointment with them will be set a month after you call them up for a sched. You should call them every 25th of the month or the next working day after the 25th (if it falls on a weekend) to make an appointment for the next month.

Hello!

I'm planning to have my dog spayed soon. I've checked around, both private vets and low cost clinics, and I've decided to have to procedure done at the Philippine Pet Birth Control Center Foundation (PPBCC). It's a low-cost neuter/spay clinic in Mandaluyong. Spay for dogs costs 1k only. Super mahal kasi sa private vets, minimum 7k, hindi pa kasama anesthesia, bloodwork, and professional fee.

Anybody here has an experience with PPBCC? They use the flank technique, so maliit lang daw yung incision (sa side nung pet, not sa belly area). Since maliit yung sugat, wala daw stitches. Paano yung post-operation care nito?
