Baby Shower for First baby

Hi All,

I'm new here and I'm an expectant mom. I'm on my 6th month now and we are expecting a boy. We're planning of having a baby shower in November pero we can't seem to find a venue na mura. May mga suggestions ba kayo mga sis? Preferrably near BetterLiving, Bicutan.

I'm done with my first baby shower a while ago... I'm glad to receive lots of blessings from officemates. Wew! It was tiring but worth it!

mine was at home lang sis, after giving me the gifts (which i registered at rustans and sm), inuman ang peg but of course sila lang uminom i just ordered 4 boxes of pizza, 1 pancit bilao, 1 baked pan of pesto pasta, 2kilo of chicken lolli, then 4 1.5 softdrinks, 4 cases of red horse, 1 jack daniel, 2 cases of san mig light it was fun and worth it!  i also gave them a personalized magnet from papelmeroti and also i received a big chocolate cake

I recently attended a baby shower organized by the husband and his family.  His wife had inputs on the attendees, gift list, etc.  I think this is the practical side of a baby shower.  Dati kasi ang alam ko rin a close friend/officemate organizes a baby shower then mostly pacutesy cutesy ang gifts.

With the flow of the program, it depends what time the baby shower is.  The flow can be:
-   Arrival of guests
-   Host/Couple greeting of guests
-   Prayer
-   Meal time
-   Games (maybe 2 to 3 if the guests are cooperative)
-   Opening of gifts
-   Couple’s thank you and farewell speech

had my baby shower last thurs, sa hotel namin ginawa , since suprise siya. buti na lang kausap nila si hubby. wish list ko nabigay nila sakin, almost complete na din gamit ni baby.

^You can order naman sis sa any cake shop, i think red ribbon & goldilocks has one but among any other, siguro try mo yun mga homemade para labor of love talaga! good luck

hi! 36 preggy here and just had my baby shower last saturday, hosted by my sister at mcdonalds!!! =)hindi yun surprise actually, bec kami ang nagshoulder ng food, sister ko lang ang nag asikaso ng program, nag-invite ng mga guests (i gave her lists of our closest friends), and the prizes. She also did the hosting for the program too!
 
here's the flow of the program...
-arrival of guests
-ice breaker
-prayer
-2 games
-dinner
-crossword and bingo game
-opening of gifts
-thank you speech

2hours tumagal ang program, and even the mcdonalds staff tuwang tuwa kasi sobrang saya actually! we spent around 7k for the food (free na kasi ang venue for mcdo). it includes 1-pc chicken,spaghetti,medium drinks,rice and sundae. (45 pax)
reg cake naman,may nagsponsor ng diaper cake sa akin before hand,from baby bash ideas.then for the give away,gem biscuit na nilagay sa small container. =)
medyo bawi naman with regards sa gifts, dami nagbigay ng mga gifts kay baby!!!

^ around 35 to 36 weeks daw.. but i had mine at 28 weeks hehe

my in laws are hosting my baby shower on my 35th week sa bahay nila... wala naman kaming program or whatever na ganyan kasi nababaduyan ako basta at least 5 games, tapos opening of gifts and eating time!

I bought na decorations like lanterns in different sizes, pompoms etc... and mag DIY kami ng baby bunting and fans over the buffet table. Excited na kami!

we're hosting a baby shower for my sister, venue is in one legazpi park (php4,000)
tapos we're thinking of getting amber's to provide the food. tapos everything else d.i.y. na by my sister and i. the theme pala is ready to pop.

yung husband kausap namin, siya yung nag invite sa friends ng sister ko and sa venue..crossing fingers na ma surprise siya:)

Baby shower is for everyone. Whether boy or girl. Usually, the invited guest are closed friends and family.

My baby shower then was organized by my friend.  It was a surprise.  They just texted me to make myself available on that date, time and place.  We usually meet at our boss house kasi for snack or dinner or lunch kahit walang occasion kaya I thought it was just one of those "eating dates".  When we arrived at the venue, I was surprised na may decorations and some friends whom I haven't seen for some time were there.  It was fun and two days after the party I gave birth.
