^For color combinations, marami yan. Basta make sure na magcomplement siya sa wall color mo especially open kitchen siya. If all else fails, go with neutrals! Work with white beige tan black .. it never fails. Ano ba color scheme ng living room mo?

as in white and black palang naiisip ko. im so inlove sa all white... may granite bang all white? heheh

^^Sis pareho tayo open kitchen tapos my cabinets are light gray and walls are white. Ayoko ng masyado maraming kulay so plan ko solid color lang yung backsplash. Tapos na carpentry works sa bahay mo?

no sis. pero malapit na siguro. patapos palang kasi ang structure eh. ano ang range na nilagay mo sa kithcen mo sis? yung sa ground floor kasi namin asa 30-34 sqm lang din and anjan na yung open kitchen, dining and living room and powder room. im planning na kahit yung first floor muna ang ipa-interior ko.. or may masasuggest ba kayong site or magazine na puede tularan na alng? hehhehe

Sis jp_jameop, Aerogaz na 2-burner countertop stove lang ang pinalagay ko, black tempered glass sya na naka mount sa black granite.

I was thinking of white granite too kaya lang synthetic yung pure white. Bukod sa mas mahal sya,hindi din sya stain/scratch proof. Feeling ko high maintenance.

Btw, I changed my mind with the gray cabinets. Pina-repaint ko into white. So ngayon puti ang ceiling, cabinets and walls. Sa kitchen, pina-paint ko ng teal yung isang wall, including the area where I plan to put a tempered glass backsplash.

Hindi nako nagpa-interior kasi feeling ko masyadong mapapamahal. I just bought back issues of home design magazines. Tapos google ng google ng images ng modern white apartments. Ewan ko nga ba what got into me at pumayag akong gray ang cabinets as suggested by the painter. So yun nasayang yung ibang paint at nadoble ang bili pero at least back to original plan ako na white.

me too. i love white on white sa kitchen. but you really have to maintain na spic and span kasi kitang kita.

Hello mga sis!  I am having my kitchen installed next month and I have chosen to install a glass backsplash.  Type ko kasi yung sleek, modern look but also easy maintenance lang.  I'm also big on dramatic lighting ang having a glass backsplash would easily serve this purpose.

I'd like to share an article that really inspired me to go for glass backsplash.  My kitchen, btw, is white on white, so the splash of color would be provided by the color of my glass backsplash.

Mga sis, do you know someone who knows how to remove backsplash sa kitchen? Our home was interior decorated before kasi model unit and we do not like the color (red). We also need to install wall mounted dishracks kasi maliit lang ang countertop space (5ft) sayang naman di ko mapakinabangan ang wall space ko dahil sa backsplash.

^if your backsplash are made either of glass mosaic tiles or ceramic tiles, babakbakin talaga ang mga to sis so that these would come off the wall.

^ yes sis im already aware. Thats why im looking for one. I got a quote na 1500 from a person pero i feel pricey pa yun.

^1500 is too much. labor cost for this type of service should only be around 700-800. anyway good luck on your search for a laborer.

ok ba ang glass mosaic tiles as backsplash? hindi ba mahirap linisin?

^^aesthetically glass mosaic tiles look so modern and polished and sophisticated. downside lang, makuti linisin coz you have to ensure that the grout is clean and not specked with dirt.
