I was just thinking of the fees sis   Since I'll be staying naman most of the time sa labor room then sa delivery room, might as well get a ward first para ang rates will be the ward fees. Then kapag nasa recovery na ko, hubby will get a private room na Maarte din kami ni hubby, lalo na sya naku ayaw ng may ibang tao hehe!

I live in Montalban and I chose VT Maternity Hospital in Marikina because of the  location, clean building, facilities, personnel and most especially the doctors are considerate and attentive to the patients. The med consultation is very affordable. I have no health insurance and stayed 2-days at private air-conditioned room with fridge, couch and restroom, I paid PHP69,000.00 only for cs. I delivered twins--a girl and boy. I pray that more maternity hospitals will be patient care service oriented than money-med institution. I like to thank Dr. Tansinsin, Dr. Espinosa, Dr. Demata and the rest of the medical team including the maintenance. May your hospital prosper!---Hanna Lee-Cox

Hi sisses! I gave birth via CS last Apr. 2 at VT

Total Hospital Bill: P18,380 included New Born Screening & Hearing Test (P1,200). Doctors' PF 50k (OB, Anes & Pedia). Less Philhealth na sa both fees. Private room (P1,500/day) w/o ref (lahat yata private rooms except for the suite walang ref) for 3 1/2 days and rooming-in kami. Pricey compared sa others kasi di naman si Dr. Tansinin OB ko.  Sayang we weren't able to get the suite kasi occupied na. Actually, dami ko nakasabay na nanganak that week kaya halos occupied lahat ng private rooms. Mura pa din kasi SIL ko sa Delgado sya nanganak NSD 2 1/2 days lang P65k included PF. I also recommend VT kasi super asikaso mga staff doon. Love love the nurses kasi kahit rooming-in kami they still assisted us. Dapat kasi di na sila assist dahil kapag rooming-in kami na dapat ang bahala kumbaga "hands-off" na sila. Tapos ang hospital food panalo kay hubby kasi lutong bahay. Di sya typical hospital food hehe! Medyo downside sa amin, wala kasing table sa room namin (Rm. 206) pero yun lang naman  

@pichapie - di na ko nagpa-admit sa ward kasi si hubby reklamo saan daw sya stay hehe! kasi pagdating namin VT, diretso na ko labor room.

misis_gh - Oh my! My long overdue CONGRATS TO YOU, SIS! So happy for you! Di baleng medyo "pricey" ang experience as long as everything went well and your VT experience was A-OK! Oh, and my pahabol 'happy first month' to your baby! And na-skip na talaga pala ng tuluyan ang initial "ward" plan. Funny how some of those things we planned/envisioned to happen e napupunta sa plan B since some situations call for it, no? Kaloka talaga mabuntis at manganak, hihi. Congrats ulit, sis!

Super happy and convinced po ako nung mabasa ko po mga commenta nyo about vt..

First time mom ko po kasi and I'm only 20 yrs.old, mejo matured naman po ako kaya I'm searching po ng hospital na good ang quality and yet not so expensive..

So many questions to ask po about panganganak, bills and etc. Sana po ok lang po .. Hehe

@pichapie .. hi po sis .. super natuwa po ako sa feedbacks nio about vt, and thankful po ako na npakadetailed nio po about the infos .. hehe.. gonna ask lang po if sa bill nyo po na P21k++ for NSD, kasama na po ba ang  pf ng ob,pedia and anes?  And maliban po dun sa 21k may iba pa po ba kaung binayaran? 
May mga nabasa po kasi ako na after lumabas ni baby my mga vaccines and others na ibibigay sa knya ..

Hnd Naman po ba cla strict sa mga dalaw if ever pong meron, tsaka may mga hospitals po kasi na may mga gamit po na pinagbabawal ipasok sa hospital.. vt dn po ba meron po?  And maliban po sa philhealth and sss may ibang way pa po ba pra malessen pa po yung bill?  may mga nabasa po kasi ako na healthcard, swa and etc.

Sorry po if ang dame ko pong question but i'll be thankful if masasagot po clang lhat ..

geline,nathalieo6 di mahigpit sa gamit sa VT pati sa visitors di rin. sa vaccines, depends sa pedia yan sis. like sakin 1st 3 vaccines 1k each included na PF. may mga package din na vaccine kaya ask mo pedia mo. as for bawas ng bills, kung makakahingi ka discount from OB much better. yung iba kasi covered ng HMO nila ang maternity bills kaya swerte sila.

Yes. All in na sa 21K, and talagang wala ng hidden fees (thank God!) at yan lang ang binawas sa bank acct namin. Other than the 21K, puro optional na gastusin na mga yun kasi: Hearing test and Newborn Screening. We took the latter though, pero a week after na yun when we got home from the hospital. Yun hearing test dinedma na namin at sa first few days ni baby sa bahay e masyado namang halatang she can hear well with both ears. YUn newborn ek-ek lang ang nakakaintriga kaya we gave in to it.

Nope not included. Puede mong umpisahan ito a week after niyong iuwi si baby and let your fave pedia do it for you, or, for a most cost-effective method, let the Marikina Health Center take care of most of the basic vaccines needed by your baby... for free.

YUp, big help ang Philhealth. I think 5K give or take ang naibawas sa bill namin kaya nag 21K na lang. Stayed in VT for two days only.

Just like misis_gh mentioned, hindi nga mahigpit sa gamit at bisita ang VT. And about ways of reducing the final bill amount, hanggang SSS and Philhealth lang ang alam ko kasi. If I'm not mistaken, VT yata will not accept health cards? That's what doc Tansinsin mentioned kasi I think.

Basta kung may tanong ka lang, don't hesitate to ask us here. Nandito kaming mga ate mo to help you out... or at least mga dating naging 20 yrs old din, tee hee!.

euwie, winner talaga yan si doc, hihi. Basta hospital "office" hours, present siya k? I used to go there every quarter to 5pm nung nagpapa-check up pa ako. I don't know if I should say this, but I think he lives on the same building. 

Ang ultrasound ginagawa in an ultrasound clinic around the block, or just between the hospital and blue wave mall. VT has no ultrasound yet, as of Feb 2013. hindi na ako updated ngayon kasi.

Hmmm. A week after kong manganak, so that's Feb 22, may bagyo tayong makulit nun na whole day ayaw tumigil ang pagbagsak ng ulan. Good gurl that I was, lumusob pa rin kami ni husby since meron kaming 1st week 1st time check up with the pedia there. Siempre napagalitan pa kami ni doc at bakit di man lang kami nagreconsider and nag-resched instead hihi. Anyways, point of my cuento is, I can't recall any baha issue that afternoon despite heavy downpour. Hopefully by November ganun pa rin at walang pasaway na baha na magdagdag pa sa stress sayo, sis.

I gave birth na last May 20, CS. Bill namin 63k, less philhealth na and free kasi pedia namin.
Naka-private room ako, 3 days.

Malaking bagay sa bagong panganak na kumportable yung stay. Maalaga sila from admission to release.
Mababait yung staff. And dahil hindi ko nai-room in si baby dahil nahirapan ako sa recovery, naalagaan naman sya ng mabuti sa nursery. I get to see him pag nagbebreastfeed ako.

Syempre may mga improvements pa na pwedeng gawin, pero sa 3 beses ko nanganak sa iba't ibang ospital, best experience ko na talaga ang VT.

Hi All!

I'm glad to read all the positive posts about VT. I was one of the brave few who took the plunge last year and gave birth there despite the lack of feedback. We just looked at the place and was convinced immediately especially we came from Marikina Valley same day. Kitang kita yung difference and we just went for it.

My baby's almost a year old next week. My OB was Dra. Gaspar since i wanted a female OB (first time mom, nakakahiya pa pag male OB haha) and pedia is Dra. Alcazar. Both are warm and pleasant naman, i use my healthcard (maxicare) for check ups in Medical City SM Marikina with Dra Gaspar since VT doesn't accept private health cards pa last year. she also has a portable ultrasound machine that can detect heartbeat and position of the baby.

Gave birth normal, no anesthesia (feeling ko hahaha) but I had an anesthesiologist fee so baka meron local since i wasn't given any epidural.

Stayed in a private room for 3 days. 2 days lang dapat but I want to rest pa na walang inaalala so we made it 3 days na.

Fees:
OB - 12k less philhealth of 2k = 10k
Pedia - 4k
Anes - 5k
Hospital - 13865 less philhealth of 3k = 10,865

Total cash out = 29,865

TMC gave us 50k quote for normal delivery and 2 days ward, so happy na kami with this.

So as you can see, depends on your OB, pedia and anes kung san kayo makakatipid pa. As well as kung ward or private room and kung ilang araw kayo mag stay.

VT is new, clean, well maintained, very homey and yet professional. I highly recommend  though they are not strict in terms of breastfeeding, i'm sure you can insist on it prior to your admission. hindi rin ako nag room in with baby because i felt the pain after manganak, with the wounds and all so sabi ko rest muna coz i'm sure very demanding na agad the baby.

on my next pregnancy dito ulit definitely and baka si dr. tansinsin na kunin ko na OB because laking tipid sa OB fee

Hello everyone...
just want to share my experience
after ko ma CS everything went well.. then after two months nakaramdam ako ng sakit sa tahi ko..
akala ko at first dahil sa mabigat si baby, but as days passed lalo sumasakit and at one point nakita namin na may lumabas na yellowish liquid na parang nana, and nana nga talaga sya..
ayun nagkaroon ng nana yung tahi ko at nabutas sya as in.. minsan may dugo pa nga kasama yung nana e..

pumunta kami kay dr tansinsin sai nya na irritate daw ako sa sinulid magkakaroon nga daw ng maliit n butas ( pero malaki yung naging butas ng tahi ko, at isa isa nabubutas yung line ng tahi )
at ive asked him kung may iinomin ba ng gamot ofcourse nakakatakot e.
nakailang balik din kmi kay dr tansinsin
kasi nung una namin punta e wala naman sya binigay n gamot so we went back sa vt after 2 days from our first consultation kasi nya open yung wound ko baka ma infect ako.

after nun pumunta ako sa medical city nag pa 2nd opinion at inalis dun yung nana sa tahi ko pinutok yung mga nana ..
now okay naman na
agua lang ginamot ko at bactroban ointment at antibiotic
