just got back from boracay. kalibo kami & i was surprised how easy DIY transfers are. paglabas ng airport, ayan na ang van going to the port. same thing pauwi. ang galing! no need talaga to book transfers ahead.
we stayed at TAN'S guesthouse and so far, pasado naman siya coz:
1. very accessible to everything, as in everything!
2. very helpful & accomodating ang staff
3. quiet naman so masarap lagi ang tulog namin ni hubby
4. affordable at P1000 per night
ang ayaw ko lang is:
1. their free breakfast sucks. but again, its free at kung di ka naman maselan, "lamang tyan" din yun
. **its worth P75 per plate pero ubod ng lungkot mga sisters. hindi siya masarap talaga. better eat bfast at andoks na lang.
2. the room they gave us was at the ground floor (room 2, single deluxe), its directly behind the reception area. hindi siya nasisikatan ng araw so its really gloomy, kahit pa may window. i suggest requesting a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
3. malamok ang room when we got there. buti na lang they gave us baygon agad when we requested for it. nag-spray yung staff before we left for lunch & when we got back, amoy baygon pa din yung room. at least wala ng lamok.
i was truly disappointed at the room they gave us at first. medyo nagsisi pa nga ako so i told the recpetion that we'll just pay the balance pag nag-scheckout kami (in case magdecide ako na lumipat ng place) for some reason, nung 2nd day namin ok na sa akin yung room. it grew on me i guess. i didnt mind the gloominess na. we requested room cleaning/housekeeping everyday and nagpa-spray ulit kami ng baygon on our 3rd day. we didnt eat their free bfast on our 3rd day. 2 days din kami nagbreakfast dun and lahat ng inorder namin, fail. fried egg lang ang hindi nag-fail hehe. i dont really know how can anybody fail on serving corned beef, longanisa, tapa, bangus. to think hindi naman kami maselan ni hubby...pero fail talaga.
all in all, not bad nma din talaga ang Tan's for P1000 a day. siguro, if i were to come back in boracay soon dun ako ulit mag-stay -- unless konting-konti na lang ang difference with casa fiesta, la fiesta, or sunshine place. those places are very accessible to everything as well. mas gusto ko pa nga location nung mga yun than la carmela's.
ganda ng beach sa part ng fridays! nakakatakot nga lang mag-walk dun sa dulong part ng beach ng station 1. we had to cross the sea wall/boulder, sa kagustuhan naming makabalik sa main road without having to walk back pabalik sa jonah's. super adventure but i dont recommend it. hindi na kami naglakad ni hubby papunta sa dulo ng station 3, tinamad na kami. wala naman kasing makita dun. yung beach sa station 2, ok naman, malawak & malinis din tho nung 3rd day namin, andaming sea weeds & trash na inanod sa shore.
nakakaloka ang mga nagooffer ng kung ano-ano. lalo na yung sa astoria free lunch! potek, maya't maya may lumalapit. pero they go away naman agad as soon as you tell them off.... kaya lang yun nga, sa dami nila, maya't maya may lalapit sayo.
3n/4d kami dun and we only spent 8k in all -- food, accommodation, souvenirs & transfers na yun. airfare namin 3k lang since we redeemed mabuhay miles. food trip & beach bum lang naman kami dun ni hubby
i wanna go back soon!
PS. dont fly with PAL if ayaw nyo ma-hassle ng todo-todo like us.
