vain_kixie, i actually was really thinking of fixing the itinerary too. since i heard that france is a lot less strict. but i didn't want to lie, since that might backfire.
to answer your question, I've already been to italy and spain.
but this is my first schengen visa.
i asked for a single entry visa. but got a multiple one. won't be needing it though, haha.

@maybelleslife Thanks sa input mo. I actually bought a ticket na sa Cathay. Around USD990 and open jaw and refundable naman so if ever di ma-approve hindi masyadong masakit but still... I'll definitely beef up my savings. Stable naman job and I have until July/August to apply for the visa so I think kaya pa umabot ng aprox 160K.

^sis, I don't think that's applicable to you since Schengen state naman talaga ang punta mo di ba? This is only applicable to visitors that proceed to a non-Schengen state while passing thru/visiting a Schengen state.

mga sis, the "show money"or proof of funds ba has to be bank deposits?  or pwede din investments like UITFs?  I only have minimal cash in bank kasi, any excess I place in UITF

^sis, you can show your UITF investments. That's what I did and it was accepted. I photocopied my UITF COPs and asked the bank for a certification for my UITF placements.

meron sa mga officemates ko na deny. pero di sinabi kung sino. pero she/he is in Manager Level Position, Has big bank account, has US Visa, Single. ano ba talga basehan ng french embassy sa pag denny ng applicants..

My husband & i got our visas today from the French Embassy.  We were approved, kaya lang we have to report to the embassy when we get back.  It's my second time to get a visa.  But they still required me to go back.  Nung first time ko kumuha di nila ako pima-report back.... It's probably because i declared on my application that i don't work full time anymore.

Ask ko lang for those who have Schengen Visa na kasi our port of entry is UK may personal appearance ako on March 7. When my sister called up sa Italy ang sabi we have to wait for the approval of our UK Visa our travel period is on April 21 to May 19. Aabot pa kaya kmi if we wait for the approval pinakamabilis na yung 5 days approval sa UK. Sabi kasi ng agency medyo matagal yung appointment sa Italy... Yung pag pickup ng courier ba  matagal din?

^  Yes.  Separate cover letters, bank statements, we each had a photocopy of our marriage certificate.  We really have separate bank accounts.  We don't have any joint accounts even if we are 5 years married

hay! ang hirap talaga mag-apply if you are single na-deny na din ako before when i applied for US Visa im single at that time kahit na you have money sa bank hindi yon basis para ma-approve kelangan prove mo na may balak ka bumalik. kasi ngayon pa lang ako mag attempt na kumuha ng UK & Schengen Visa im now married na with 1 dependent hopefully, sana ma-approve na....

@mom_G, when my husband and I applied with the French embassy late last year we didn't do separate cover letters since we were travelling together. Just one cover letter, one set of our detailed itinerary with supporting documents, one bank statement (just submitted his since he was financing the trip) but I brought my credit cards with me in case tanungin which hindi naman. Of course we had separate application forms and medical insurance otherwise no need to do it separately if you will be travelling together.

The French embassy gave me a two year visa (my first was 3 years) while hubby just got 8 months since his passport was expiring this coming April otherwise he would have gotten a longer one (his first was 4 years).
