Schengen Visa Application (2) Check 1st page for the Requirements

Hello everyone. I just want to share that my Schengen Visa application has been approved. I was interviewed Nov. 12, they got my passport and said it will be delivered to me in 5 business days. But to my surprise, it was delivered on Nov 14. Sobrang bilis! Europe here I come! (sa January pa naman  Thanks sa lahat ng advices nyo mga sis!

hi sis. From German embassy, visitor's visa kasi meron akong sponsor/host. They have 2 kinds of schengen visa: 1 is Tourist Visa (kung wala kang sponsor) and 2 is the Visitor's Visa (visiting family and friends).

she's not a nurse but the problem was that she didn't have a stable work background. Maybe they think sis that you'll end up looking for work as a nurse in europe? how long have u been employed?

i cant practice my profession in france because as i far as i know, they do not accept nurses from other countries easily. thanks sis for the reply...

i hope you girls can help me.

i have been planning and fixing my honeymoon for a year now...
serious planning na now kc we are scheduled to leave on april 10 already.

will call the french embassy call center on january 10 for an appointment. - is this the earliest i can call them for an appointment? or can i call now to set up an appointment on or after january 10?



have booked many nonrefundable things already...
and i was confident about visas till a family get together yesterday where an aunt asked me if i was worried about the visa...
naturally, i am worried na!

my husband is korean, he will receive his permanent residency in the philippines by end on dec 2013...- i checked online, and seems he won't need a visa for the countries we're ging to (france, italy and greece..)

as for me, am filipino...
worked for 2 years (from nov 2009- dec 2011) in a big company...
unemployed for 8 months (january- august) because of wedding
working for family business since august 2012 till present.
passports i have with me:
1. 1996- hongkong and italy (with sticker visa)
    1997- singapore
    1998-hongkong
    1999- bangkok
2. 2006- singapore, malaysia
    2007- hongkong
    2008- singapore
    2010- hongkong and macau and singapre
    2011- korea (with sticker visa) and bangkok
    2012- hongkong, macau, china (with sticker visa) and korea (with sticker visa)

my passport with dates 2000-2005 with my spain visa is lost.

we both have credit cards, money in saving accounts and time deposits.
my husband has 1 car that is fully paid under his name.
he has a car loan under his name.
i have a car loan under my name.
i have a condo under my name.

you think this is okay na? or medjo iffy?

am nervous because:
1. we don't have babies yet... so they might think we both want to migrate na.
2. i'm 27 and he is 29. so medjo tnt ages?
3. i'm an orphan (but i have a sister) so they might think not much ties in the philippines.

^ i'm newly married and have applied for 2-3 visas by myself na and i just make sure i present -

1. financial documents of the family business (since you are working for the family, you have ties naman here in the country)
2. my personal financial documents. just be honest with what you have though i make sure i present over 1M just to be sure
3. documents about your marriage and your husband's permanent residency (that's another tie to the philippines)
4. fully paid for properties or assets
5. previous travels - photocopies of old passports and visa

^ who's paying for your trip pala? if not you, present a notarized affidavit of support of whoever is paying i think as long as you meet the requirements, ok naman. just show them you have enough funds to support your trip and will not recourse to public funds and you have reasons to go back to the philippines, you have a good chance

Sisses, question. Kasi I have a flight booking na pabalik from Rome to Manila na April 13. That's what I am going to show sa Schengen visa application ko. But I only really plan to stay in Rome until April 12 and I just had the booking scheduled for an April 13 one just in case sakto lang sa dates ang visa na ibibigay sa kin para naman I have one extra day (just in case magustuhan ko pa magstay ng isang araw). Does the embassy check pa the flight bookings with the airlines? Can I still submit my old booking na April 13 kahit na I'll have it changed na sa airlines to an April 12 booking? Baka lang kasi icheck nila and they discover na I cancelled na the April 13 booking.

^Yes, you can submit the original one. They base the start of the visa validity on your arrival in the schengen state and not the departure from there. So even if they give you exact dates i.e. visa validity from April 01 to April 13 as long as you arrive there within the validity dates, you're still okay. Once you enter any schengen state within the visa validity you are allowed to stay 90 days (short stay visas). In the example above, you arrive April 01 and you can stay until July (if you can afford it!).

In my case naman, my visa validity started Sep 21 but I left Manila Sep 20. Okay lang kasi Sep 21 na when I arrived there so pasok ako sa validity.

today i called the french embassy, hoping to schedule my appointment.

but too bad they didn't allow me to apply with them.

instead, I need to apply through the italian embassy.

pro: i already have an old italian visa.
con: i heard italy is a lot stricter, and no interview.

emirates gave me a deadline, this one is final na daw.
i only have till january 11 to pay or else they will cancel my reservation.

here's my question...
should i book the tickets na kaya? even if i don't have a visa yet?

or if they cancel my reservation, then i'd need to get a new reservation, will the price be so different kaya?

what should i do... :s

^Can't you ask Emirates to extend your booking, since you will use the reservation for Visa purposes?  That's what we did for our Cathay Pacific flight.  Our flight is in June 2013 pa, but we reserved in September 2012.  Last day for payment is sometime  in May 2013.

If you cancel your reservation, price will most likely be different unless they can give you the same booking class again.

Ayayayy don't pay muna. If its refundable in case of visa denial then go ahead. Ako naman I paid even without visa but I made sure that KLM will refund in case madeny. Schengen visas are different. I've heard of some applicants being Denied even if previously granted already. Plus they don't reco that you pay for airfare in advance.

d_zialcita, if it is refundable if you get denied, go get the ticket na. if not, it's risky but i have done it na! hahaha we were applying for our UK visa and we wanted to lock the rates so we risked it and got the tickets. fortunately, we got visas naman

re italian embassy, dropbox siya, no interview but 1 month daw?

anyone gotten an appointment for the french embassy lately? how long is the waiting time na?

it's refundable pala, but there is a 150 dollar charge per person.
the agent i spoke to was nice, she was able to move my deadline to february 7th.
am almost complete with my requirements, hopefully i can have my visa by 7th. *crossing fingers!*

I must say that this thread is very informative!  Most of the questions I had in mind were already answered.  Let me ask lang -- when applying for a minor, in my case, my son, I read that I need to present his birth certificate in addition to the required docs.  Is this correct?  Are there any other documents I need to present?  I and my husband are traveling with him.

help naman with the french embassy, we plan to go to france april or may since we will be in the UK. no definite plans and we'll do it on a whim so we're not researching or booking anything. i need a schengen visa and a travel agent friend has referred me to someone who can process it for me (include me in a tour, issue tickets, hotels, itinerary, visa fee and insurance) at 8k. ok na ba? nasa almost 4k yung visa fee if i'm not mistaken so paran i'm paying 4k for the service of making singit me in their tours. pwede na ba?
