@pastek898: if you book online its usually book & buy. go to a travel agency and ask for a booking/ reservation. deadline is usually a few days after (max i think is 1 week). anyway, the embassies usually advise not purchase tickets before a visa is issued, so they should understand if its still a booking only

A week before ng schedule interview ko sa embassy ako magpapakuha ng hotel and flight.

Thanks sis! So bale, what you did was to look for the flights you wanted online then you called the Emirates office for the booking? The credit card details need to be provided di ba? But they won't charge your credit card naman until you confirm that you will purchase the tickets within the time frame they give for you to decide right?

I'm applying through the German Embassy for a tourist visa, but they have a peculiar requirement on the hotel requirement. It says:

"Hotel-voucher or confirmation of the hotel / guest house that the accommodation has already been paid for"

Does this mean that the hotel has to be actually paid for? I find it weird since they only require reservation of the airline tickets.

Does anyone have an experience with the so-called "formal obligation" from a host? Does the host need to show that he has been working for a long time already or is it okay lang to show his salary and property?

Or is it better to apply for a Tourist Visa (not necessarily a Visiting a Friend Visa) but still submit an invitation letter and own proof of income at the same time?

Sis, no need to provide credit card details for a booking. They will just get ur full name and email address. They'll send you the booking confirmation na. Just print and present it sa consulate.

what are the chances of being granted a schengen visa if it is already your second visa application (granted already first visa from switzerland, schengen din) and good profession like doctor or lawyer? Thanks!

Hello! I have a question with regard to the disembarkation card in schengen states. I have already canceled the hotel I've booked for the visa, but would it be alright if I still write that down as address in the city where I'll be in?

^yes - Phil Immigration lang naman nagrrequire niyan. You won't need to fill out such cards when you arrive in EU.

hello! anyone can help me? i got the result of my schengen visa applcation last december 3, 2012. and sad to say, i was refused  the thing is i dont know what to do, to appeal or to re apply again. my docs were complete when i submitted them including the COE and approved leave of absence. but still the reason for refusal was "your intention to leave the territory of the member states after the expiry of visa could not be ascertained". please anyone there can help, i just wanted to celebrate christmas with my mom and dad. thanks guys

^ So sorry to hear that. Where did you apply? My friend had the same visa rejection reason at the Spanish Embassy, she reapplied and submitted more documents the 2nd time and it was again rejected.

You can also backread and search for melodymedley 's experience, i believe she appealed and was granted a visa the second time.

^ maybe the reason is your employment background sis? what is your profession, if you don't mind? I remember when I applied in the Swiss Embassy, there was a girl who came back almost 4 times already. poor girl. she had a problem with her employment history. did you apply for a tourist visa?

yes sis tourist visa. i am a registered nurse here in ph. i am  currently a school nurse of a private school. what with the girl's employment history problem if u dont mind me asking? thanks for the reply

she's not a nurse but the problem was that she didn't have a stable work background. Maybe they think sis that you'll end up looking for work as a nurse in europe? how long have u been employed?
