i found my answer na! supposedly the spanish embassy processes schengen visa applications for malta.

my question is, my fiance and i are getting married this November and we are going on our honeymoon 3 days after. What other additional documents do i need to present to the center to prove this relationship as well as his nationality (British)? i am unable to provide marriage contract pa kasi at the time of the appointment.

^Won't you have a marriage license issued before the wedding? Maybe you can present that. When we were planning for our honeymoon in South Africa (where I need a visa but he doesn't since he is French) we were advised to bring that (marriage banns - same as a marriage license - in our case since we are gonna get married in France & contract will also only be available after the wedding) as well as his passport and his bank documents even if I have enough on my own to pay for the trip. Well we changed our honeymoon destination to Morocco so we didn't push through with SA visa thing.

^ we were kinda hoping that i would apply this august and he is at work and will be back september pa. we don't have a marriage license yet and will apply when he comes back and that can take 2 weeks for the issuance. we're just scared that if we apply around september, it might be a bit late because it will be a month and a half lang before we for our honeymoon. eh for visas, we usually make it to a point to apply 2,5-3 months before departure.

Received my passport with Schengen visa today! The documents were picked up last Friday, July 27 lang. Ang bilis ah. :)

I submitted our documents to the Italian Embassy. No interview/personal appearance.
If you have questions, fire away! Maybe I can help. :)

Hi sis! Can you please tell me what's the name of the travel agency who assisted you? I think I also need to find one since it's my first Visa application and I don't wanna mess this up :)

Thanks in advance!

Hi mga sis,

I'm applying for Schngen visa (via Norwegian Embassy but going to Denmark).  My sister and her husband are my sponsors.  As proof that my sister and I are actually sisters, I need to present my Birth Certificate and her Birth Certificate. I already got copies of our authenticated BCs from NSO. However, mine has a typo error: my mother's maiden middle initial is "S" instead of "G". My sister's Birth Cert has the correct middle initial.  Will this pose a big problem on my visa application?  All other pertinent info in my sister's and my BCs are the same except for the middle initial.

Hi sis, what happen to your interview? Approved ba? Same tayo situation. But me, I'll be staying with my aunt. I'm also unemployed since Jan but I've been freelancing (web designer) and I get payments thru paypal. Kinakabahan ako, kasi plan ko by september magbakasyon. Nakakastress isipin!!!

@hefi_ness: Sis, walang nag-assist sa kin. I just did everything all by myself. :) Ganun din ginawa ko sa US visa application ko a couple of years ago, ako lang din. Just read the embassy website's requirements for application tapos minsan I ask some people here pag di malinaw or I call the embassy's number.

@snowkittycat: sis i actually checked Germany embassy's website for the requirements and even called their Visa section to ask some few questions. Yung 1st na nakasagot sa'kin is Filipina and medyo rude sya sa phone. She even kept on telling me, check our website. Pero is it highly-likely maa-approve ako pag merong ni-provide na Formal Obligation from my sponsor? Kasi yung savings ko is hindi naman ganun kalaki so I'm planning to borrow money from a friend para palakihin yung savings ko  :). Tapos wala akong credit card. My travel expenses will be shouldered by my sponsor. Tsaka sabi dun sa website nila, dapat 3mos before ng departure eh mag-apply ng Visa. Totoo ba yun?

Any experiences with German embassy mga sis?  :)

^Application at the German embassy is pretty straight forward. You just have to be sure to comply with all the requirements listed on their website. Walang problema naman when hubby applied with them on our last Euro trip. Madali nga lang daw yung interview nya.

As to the travel insurance, you can buy online with Blue Cross. No need to look for an accredited travel agency. I just bought awhile ago and it was sent to my email. Tapos print out ko lang. Easypeasy!  :)

sisses, I am planning to travel to Spain in December, and I would like to prepare my requirements na and all. I know I can apply 2 months before departure pero I just want to be prepared. I've been trying to download the PDF application form sa website ng Spanish embassy pero I think there is something wrong with the link. I can't download anything. Updated naman yung PDF plugin ko and all. I have reliable internet connection naman. Is there something wrong?

Any feedback on Spanish embassy's issuance of schengen visas? Are they strict? Any pointers? If fortunate, it'll be my first ever trip to Europe.

^Did you try printing this one?

You can schedule your interview at least three months before your intended departure date.

^thank you sooo much! This one works! I have called the consulate of Spain and gave toll free numbers to call. Ayaw naman magconnect lahat.

I just need to ask for the requirements and procedure. Anybody here who could help me so I can start gathering the documents. Thank you very much.

Went to the Norwegian Embassy last July 31 for my visa app interview. Accdg to the IO (the one who conducted the interview), my application will be sent to the Danish Immigration Service.  Processing may take up to 1 month.  They returned my passport.

Upon research, it seems my application was sent to the D.I.S. for further scrutiny.  I think it's difficult to establish my ties here at home?  My travel profile:  Unemployed (since Feb 2012), Single, No Children. No properties.

I hope I get a visa.  Just want to see my niece and Europe, of course. :)

2 of my friends have their appointment on Wednesday. I've been helping them fix their docs and stuff but I got my visas from the French Embassy :)

@mama squeak!, oo nga eh. parang ganon din ang napansin ko. and they will not allow any travel agency to make an appointment for you. gusto talaga nila ikaw ang magpa-appointment. basta makakita lang ako ng magandang flight, everything else will be ok na. kelangan ko lang talaga ma-set yung date and makakuha ng magandang rate  :)

Hay, kinabahan naman ako. So, did you still send them a proof of sufficient funds kahit na you'll be sponsored by your sister there? Scary ba yung interview? What did they ask? Sorry ang dami kong tanong. This is my first time going out of the country alone (if ever) so super clueless ako on what to expect. I think i have to submit the requirements na assuming 1 month ang 'scrutiny', let's pray we get approved! :)

^^ @plumpolka:  sis, i didn't prepare/submit proof of sufficient funds like bank statement and ITR. My sis and her husband will sponsor my trip. Sa document checking, nilagay ng checker "NA" sa part na yon.

if it's VSF, diba it's just a submission center? i'm applying for my Malta visa through the SPanish Embassy and my previous experience with VSF (UK visa), no interview whatsoever na, submission and payment lang.
