UTI
« on: September 15, 2011, 06:33:35 pm »
hi just want to ask [textspeak!] advices for a UTI treatment. Bumalik yung UTI ko after eating a lot of sweets and to much soda too. My doctor prescribed me an antibiotic ciprofloxacin but its been almost a week na and hindi pa rin nawawala.

I also started to feel uncomfortable like its so itchy in the inside of my private part and ang hapdi mag pee. I drink garlic tea too to help ease the itch.

So any advice please or remedies you can share would be nice.

P.S. my doctor is out of town and i can't seem to reach him through his cellphone.

^Adverse effect talaga ang fungal infection kapag mataas ang spectrum ng coverage ng antibiotics sis, pati yung normal flora na bacteria ng vagina na wipe-out.  When ba ang follow up mo sa doctor mo?  You should tell him/her na feel mo di ka gumagaling para if ever mapa-repeat ang urinalysis para makita if nag-respond k sa medication.  If not, baka pagawan ka ng culture prior to shifting meds.

number one cause of UTI?

inefficient voiding of your bladder - or you don't pee as much as you should.

Have you used any anti-bacterial wash like Betadine wash yet?

agree ako with doc au_chic! :)

First step : Acidify the urine, take cranberry juice or any fruit juice na mataas sa vitamin c to stop the bacteria from growing kung nasaan yung infection. :)

sis, sobrang nakakarelieve ng pain pag kumuha ka ng camomile tea tapos ilagay mo sa luke warm na water tapos upuan mo siya. Momentary relief nga lang, pero sobrang effective para sa akin.

cranberry juice (apple and eve at groceries kasi yung ibang brands concentrate na lang at maasim), buko juice (much cheaper alternative and readily available at any street corner), or yung pinaglagaan ng corn (make sure that the water used to boil the corn is potable and safe and then filter it out).  :)

I agree buko juice and cranberry juice can help cleans your urinary tract.  nag susubside din ang pain. remember to take your anti biotics religiously as prescribed by the doctor - normally 3 x a day for seven consecutive days otherwise wala talagang effect.  hirap pa naman may UTI you have to pee all the time tapos uncontrollable pa then masakit afterwards :(

Apple Cranberry Juice always work well for me. Ang kagandahan sa kanya, hindi lang UTI ang nadi deal with niya. You can Google about the properties of Apple Cranberry Juice. There surely are many.
