Ateneo Prep Exam

Actually sis, i like csa talaga.. Very organized sila and all..my son got a red eagle award last year pa nga so ok naman ang turo..approachable mga teachers, very nice ang mga staffs, even the guards..prob lang pag sabay sabay events ng preschools and gradeschools, suuuper hirap ng parking, andon na kami 2hrs before the event para makakuha ng magandang parking slot..yun lang complaint ko, aside from that wala na..


I also heard a lot of good reviews din about csa. will probably file an application na rin. just getting worried about the travel time [textspeak!] from marikina, provident. sana hindi mastress yung bata in case makapasa dun and dun nga mag-gradeschool.

Im thinking of transferring our son in ateneo since we're going to transfer to magnolia place qc..my son is currently in csa makati, can u give me idea sis how much is the tf for grade 1? Im still convincing my son to transfer, super ayaw nya talaga and he's willing naman daw to travel from qc to makati.. Hmmm, as if kaya nya..

Sis my eldest son is currently in prep level in ateneo. Our place is just 5-8mins to magnolia place. 7Am class. Our travel time is 30-45mins. Going to ateneo,We dont pass by commonwealth.  Visayas ave-circle-teachers vill-xavierville then u turn na sa katipunan to gate1. Mga 5:45-6am ang alis nya dito to prevent the car volume. Mga 6:15-6:30 dating nya sa school. They need to copy their HW Sa board din kasi during quiet time(before 7am).
Pauw naman, mas mabilis becoz of the new flyover from balara to luzon congressional extn. Lusot lusot na yun. Also 40-50km/hr lang allowed takbo ng car.

@ sis ayn, yes its a good school..taga makati kasi kami then si hubby from taguig..ayoko nga din sana mag transfer son ko, kaso qc nag buy hubby ng condo..

Hi mommies! Based on my son's test permit, application results will be out on Oct.23. I wonder why others have Oct.26 for release of app results?

Can't wait til next week. I already received acceptance letter from la salle greenhills and i have a week to decide to make the reservation fee. I hope the slot won't get forfeited until i get ateneo's decision on my son's application. I like both schools but i want to wait for ateneo. Hopefully he passed too.

congrats! sis, did you have a hard time with it? it always said NOT FOUND. i asked ateneo if that means my son failed pero hindi daw. it should read Regret something. sigh. Hirap makita ng results. advice sis how did you manage to find out immediately. Thank you!

Nov. 17 yung sched ng ASES nya. oo nga sis! ako proximity wise, ateneo na. la salle greenhills kasi is quite far from our place.

Enrollment is set on Dec. 10-12, 2012.

Sis Ayn, he passed La Salle last year pa.... we tried CSA this year (currently prep sya), ok din dito'  BUT un first option ko talaga ADMU pero un dame factors to consider pa, though we have a place to stay near the area din... hehe his ASES also at Nov. 17, kita tayo sis hehe

Congrats mga sis! prepare na rin for the tuition fees, kasi they only have two options, annual or semi.

online na pala ang results ngayon noh. last year kasi manual pa to get the letter from them in the office, inabot kami ng sembreak.

hi sis mom.of.inchikoy! oo nga. butas ang bulsa sa tuition pa lang. sis, do you buy everything from there ba? i mean the schools stuff? would you mind if i ask you for tips on what to expect in terms of expenses etc.?

^ aside from the tuition fee sis, you have to buy books, and uniform. once you get the form sa cashier/registrar for enrollment you will check the items that are optional if you would like to add it on top of the tuition fee: books, calendar of activities and schedule, class picture w/ or w/o frame yata yun, yearbook (iba ang tawag nila dito), and PE uniform. lahat yan options sis including the books, except for PE pala na kelangan dun bibilhin. so yun yung magiging on top mo on the day of the enrollment.

for the daily uniform naman, they will give you the details of the uniform naman. you can buy at the coop, or pwede patahi na lang. ako sis pinatahi ko sa suki mananahi ko mas mura kasi eh. pero yung patch-logo, name and level na itatahi sa uniform binili ko sa coop (this will take one month before makuha).

alam ko sis, before enrollment meron parang orientation sa ags about their school, etc. meron din ba kayo nun? parang to help you decide if you will go with ags or not.

btw sis, ask ko lang na ask mo son mo re exams? ano daw systema ng exams nila this time? eto kasi first time na hindi prep ang inopen nila kundi grade1. tingin ko nga mas ok na grade1 pumasok then grade 2 sa next school year. sa part kasi ng son ko, he's prep this school year, then next school year he will be in grade2 to follow k-12. hindi ko alam if adjusted din ang curriculum nila or same pa din.

Thanks so much for the tips, mom.of.inchikoy! When i asked my son how the exams went, he said they were asked to cross out what does not belong to the group. He said photos in particular were glassful and half empty glass of water. Then he said there was a storytelling part wherein they were made to listen then answer some questions after. My son was able to relay pa the story. He said it was the story of anton who left his bag in the playground. :-) so your son's going grade 2 na? that's nice. i have a colleague na ganyan din.

my son is k1 at lsgh, he took the agset and fortunately he passed. i still have few days to decide whether we'll stay at lsgh or transfer to ateneo. very hard decision to make.

grade 1 sked:

lsgh from 7:30am to 2pm
ags from 7:30 to 11:30am  (not sure..)

prep is now grade 1 in ateneo, it's around 100k for tuition fee. what happens to ASES? is it one-on-one with the parents?

^ During the ASES, it was explained that the grade 1 curriculum of AGS for SY 2013-14 will be predominantly the prep curriculum + elements of the grade 1 curriculum which will be introduced gradually.   This is in line with the K+12 program of the Deped which is mandated for all schools.

My sons also had 3 years of preschool and sa tingin ko naman, hindi masasayang ang 1 year.  Iba-iba naman ang curriculum ng schools kahit na pareho ng term pa yan like yung Prep sa ibang school may differ in some aspects sa Prep ng AGS.
