Ok naman sis. Super bait ng mga tao dito and the food is amazing. I've been to shida and shilin night markets but still wala talaga ako makitang souvenir shirt and magnet.
We'll be going to raohe night market tomorrow check ko din. Baka may iba pa kau suggestions sisses...

We got our visa online on may 10 before they removed it...called meco ok pa daw to use it..
Salamat naman at di masasayang ang airfare namin...excited na uli ako since
Kalma na daw sa taiwan...:-)

Hi sisters.I'm now visiting Taiwan. We arrived last May 22. No tension or discrimination whatsoever. We went to Taipei,Taichung.Right now I am in Cinjing and plan to go to Hualien.Although the shooting incident is on the news, the locals I encountered dont seem to pay much attention to it.They are as friendly and helpful as before.Hope this helps.

Dba all visa issuance to Taiwan was put on hold? Can you still apply for one?

^It's visa-free lang yung on hold. You can still apply for a visa but for a fee (P2400/pax)

Hi sisses. Just came back this morning from taiwan. don't worry, ok na ok dun. mababait yung mga tao and
masasarap yung pagkain. i didn't feel any tension at all. very helpful nga sila yun nga lang may language
barrier talaga. super daming tourists din.

In fairness friendly sila wala kami na experience na discrimination...:-)

Anyone who tried applying for a tourist visa lately? How was it?

^i will submit my tourist visa application next week. will update you sis. yung friend ko naman nabigyan ng toursit visa. that was june. 1 day processing yung binayaran nya P3400 yata.

Is it true na 3 months na raw valid ang taiwan visa at hindi na one month lang?

^ It was the visa-exempt certificate that was valid for one month, but I'm assuming if you apply for the tourist visa, that is valid for three months.

My family and I were there just before the shooting incident, so we were able to travel on the visa exemption, via our US visas. My foodie family loved it there, it almost feels like Japan, but with cheaper food, transportation, and lodging costs. We stayed at Cosmos Hotel right outside the Taipei Main Station (LOTS of malls in the vicinity), so we were able to get between the airport and the hotel via the Taiwan High Speed Rail. Cosmos is a business hotel, not bad at all for the price and location, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Medyo nakakasawa nga lang yung hotel buffet, but it was really cheap, so we got the option when we reserved online.

We got Easy Cards to facilitate traveling on the Taipei Metro, but we forgot to surrender them and get our refunds. I guess that means we'll have to go back to use them. Cheaper and better (not to mention cleaner city and nicer people!) travel destination than Hong Kong, I think.

applied for visa yesterday, we got our visa today. FYI lang for people who will travel na hindi family, you need to photocopy your hotel bookingfs, plane tickets etc. per person kasi application. hindi pwede magkakasama if bf/gf or friends lang mag-apply. Also, they need the original birth certificate and photocopy. Also, photocopy of page 1 of your passport and any valid US, Japan, Schengen, UK or Australian visa needs to be photocopied as well.

Malabo website nila for requirements. Nabwisit ako sa embassy when i went there yesterday kasi lahat pina-photocopy sakin coz fiance and I cannot be on the same application. hassle!
