I don't think it's a good idea to go to Taiwan now and in the coming months.

oh no. next week na yung flight namin to Taiwan for a family trip. May 22-26. Sana naman wag naman sila mang-discriminate. and malaki na yung ginastos namin

^According to my niece who works there, sobrang takot na talaga silang lumabas. Yung mga co-workers nya raw, hinabol na ng softgun. Very serious ang situation as of now. I think hindi talaga maganda ang timing nyo, sis.

^^ After you pass the immigration, act like you're from another Asian country except the Philippines. That way, wala masyadong tension sa inyo. Mahilig kasi sila mag-ask kung taga-saang country ka once makita nilang foreigner ka e. They're really nice to foreigners though.

Visa-free exemption for those who has US visa just got implemented this week so those who were able to secure the certificate last week ok pa.  If the situation remains the same or got worse, we will not push through with our trip.

Tagal nang naka plan yung trip. Flights and hotels are already booked since last month. And minsan lang kami magkakasama ng family ko. I am based in singapore and magmeet na lang kami ng family ko sa taiwan for a short vacation.
I will still push through with the trip though. My friend and her family are there right now for a vacation din so makikibalita na din ako. Mukhang ok naman based on her facebook posts.
Siguro good thing na din na we look like chinese so baka makaiwas na din sa discrimination if ever.

Nagreply na yung friend ko who's vacationing right now in Taiwan, she said that everything's ok naman daw and the people are friendly. Kahit papano nabawasan na yung worries ko for our family trip.

yung BF ng pinsan ko,nasa taiwan nagwowork.
natatakot nga daw BF nya kaya di na sya gumagala,pagkatapos daw ng work,bahay lang!
pagpumapasok daw sila sa work,naglalagay sila ng face mask para di halatang pinoy sila,saka uso naman daw dun yang face mask ,pang-protect  lang from inhaling airborne pollutants and toxic gases,kaya nakiuso na din sila.kasi pag nalaman daw na pinoy ka,titingnan ka daw nila ng masama.saka pag may nagtanong daw na taiwanese kung taga saan sila,sinasabi nila indonesian sila,para lang di mapag-initan.pero sa ngayon ok pa naman daw sila dun,karamihan daw mga pinoy dun,wala pa naman daw sila balak umuwe ng pinas.

A friend just arrived from taipei and okay naman daw. Nag-enjoy sila

ok naman daw sa Taipei. The tension is in kaoshiung city where the dead fisherman live. i'm just waiting for the embassy to bring back the visa-free entry. Angmahal ng 2400/pax na visa fee eh. Mas mahal pa compared sa japan lols

^ok sis balitaan kita if taipei matuloy ang stopover. Pinapachange na kasi ng husband ko tickets namin para china na lang stopover (teka mainit pa ba tensyon ng govt natin sa china? Dami na natin kaalitan hay).

Gusto ko pa naman mag-taiwan kakabasa sa thread na ito parang ang sarap magfOod trip. Now source of tension ko na

^@vhanya, balitaan ko kayo what will happen to our trip. i'm very optimistic na magiging ok naman despite the tension. tomorrow night na yung flight namin.
and yeah, they say i look not really that chinese, but singaporean daw which kinda looks like chinese.

Hi mga sis.. m working sa airlines here in Austria.. and m planning to visit Taipei.. But next month pa naman but still you can never tell if meron pang tension... Do you know any places where to chill in TPE, just to be sure maybe where only where Filipinos hang out? Thanks.. Danke!

^ Try Ximending or the night markets there. There are usually tons of Pinoys in the Underground Mall of Taipei Main Station since day off nila.
