What do you feel when you see foreigners in our country?

all i know is discrimination is rampant when tourists are here.

most people in the service department *e.g. resorts, hotels, restaurants etc* get all perky and too friendly with them and then be snobbish with fellow filipinos.

while most people in the entrepreneur department *shops, souvenirs etc* overprice things.

personally, i don't mind them. i'm not generally a friendly person so they don't get special treatment. though i like the way they greet me and try to small talk in the elevator. i just smile and give casual answers.

Yes, sad but true. I hope magkaron ng equality sa treatment. I mean not the VIP thingy but perhaps a fair treatment to all our Kababayan. Most of the staffs on service department or on food establishments are like leeches waiting for something (tips or money).

yun nagpalawan dati pinsan ko, yun hindi pa sikat ang palawan a, 20pesos per kilo lang ang fish. Tapos nung nagstart na dumami ang tourists and sumikat ang palawan, umabot hanggang P120 per kilo ang isda. Yes, it may be cheap by foreigners' standard. Pero sa atin mga FIlipino, mataas siya. kaya minsan nakakawalang gana magtravel

Ang akin naman, kapag nakakakita ako ng foreigners, okay lang sa akin. I used to work in a fast food restaurant, and we have a regular customer doon na British guy, minsan sinasama pa niya yung mga anak niya (boy and girl). Nakakalungkot lang kasi kapag may foreigner na papasok, yung iba kong kasama sa counter kung hindi naman busy hour, biglang mawawala, either kukuha kuno ng supplies, etc., just to avoid conversing with them. Mahilig kasi yung mga foreigner makipag-small talk habang umoorder. Naiilang kasi yung mga kasama ko na mag-Ingles, eh nakita kasi  nila komportable lang naman ako makipag-Ingles-an sa mga foreigners kaya  ako ang ginagawang frontliner. Foreigners are generally nice (based on my experience na nakakausap ko sila minsan), yun nga lang medyo ilag karamihan sa mga nakasama ko dahil nga mano-nosebleed lang daw sila.

alam ko yung palakaran lalo na sa mga expats. just imagine, yung mga kano na nagtra-trabaho para sa Chevron, Visa, Shell, Nestle and other multi-national companies, dollars ang kinikita nyan pero theyre spending it in pesos. San k p?!

At least nga pinili nila na pasyalan ang Pilipinas kahit madami ang takot pumunta dito. Para sa akin kasi kapag foreigner ka dito sa Pinas ang hirap gumamit ng public transportation like Bus, MRT, pati nga taxi. Siguro kung aayos ang public transpo natin mas marami pa ang tourist na papasyal at lalakas ang kita ng Pinas.

Proud and happy.  Proud kasi foreigners make time to visit, explore and appreciate what our country can offer. Happy kasi whenever I see  foreigners, kitang-kita mo na masaya sila sa lugar na pinupuntahan nila. Research talaga sila ng bongga sa lugar. Minsan may nakasabay akong 2 foreigners, meron pa talaga silang librong hawak about sa mga top tourist destinations dito sa Pilipinas.

Nothing. They're people, like everyone else. Although I must admit that I'm scared of Arabs and Middle easterns due to the common notion about them. Unfair but that's how I feel.

for koreans sawang-sawa na ako to see them around since I know their mentality..Somehow I know what's in their mind seeing our fellowmen...

For africans---I hope na yung mga nakuha nilang knowledge here(yung mga pinag-aralan nila)gamitin nila in their own country..

i agree sa mga sinabi mo sis.nakakaproud kapag meron ka nakikita or nakakasabay na mga foreigners sa mga tour, willing magexplore and to learn. i hope yung Entertainment City ng Pagcor will attract many foreigners to come here (in a good way like mag invest)  mahirap kapag monkey business lang hehe

noong bata pa ako, when i see foreigners esp the caucasians, i used to stare at them.  i know i know it's rude to stare at anybody.  it's more from amazement that somebody could be so fair (blond, blue eyed) with pointy nose and small lips.  they didn't look real to me, he he he.  but that's from the eyes of a child. 
ngayon i'm happy and proud.  happy that they make the trip to visit the country and proud because no matter what everybody says, we Filipinos are naturally warm and friendly people, so i'm proud for the kind of people we are.  esp we go out of our way to be liked.

Okay lang if they look as decent tourist and they came here as  investors . 

I pass thru J.P. Rizal in Makati every night,  sa maraming bars and girlie clubs  . Doon  marami akong nakikita na mukhang mga adik adik na foreigners Puro tattoo at beer bellied tapos may kaakbay na Pinay na halos nakalambitin na, so medyo disgusted ako. Ganoon din kapag nasa news na may nagpuslit ng drugs, may ari ng porno business sa internet  at nang rape . Disgusting!

happy that they chose to see our country and wish also that more of them can come visit and see all the beautiful places and experience our culture as a family-centered, resilient and happy people. more visitors gives much boost to our economy
