nirequire ako nun OB ko sa CGH, kaso wala pa ako time dahil may pasok ako sa office, eh need nya result sa tuesday...madali lang ba process nito??

hi sis, depende sa lugar pero expect mo mas mahal sa normal pelvic u/s, parang CAS yung price.

di siya ganun katagal, less than 30min. make sure lang na uminom o kumain ka ng maramis bago yung appointment mo para malikot si baby. meron kasing part na minemeasure yung fetal movement. eh nakalimutan ko kumain ng chocolate- tulog si baby..ayun grabe yung pag-uga ng sonologist sa tyan ko para gisingin, to the point na masakit na.
fortunately, 8/8 pa rin ang score naminÜ

BPS or biophysical scoring or biophysical profile is an objective assessment of the well being status of your baby.  5 parameters usually ang tinitingnan but 4 lang ang na-aasess by ultrasound. Each parameter is given a score of 2. These are fetal tone, fetal movement, fetal breathing, and the amount of amniotuc fluid.  The duration of the ultrasound would depend on how fast/soon these parameters  can be observed. Pag tulog si baby, mas matagal ang observation period (up to 40 minutes).

When all the 4 parameters stated above are observed, the score is a total of 8 points.  When one parameter is absent, that parameter is given a score of 0. Either 0 or 2 lang ang score. Pag may nakita kayong score na 1, baka hindi OB ang nag-BPS sa inyo.

The last parameter is NST or non-stress test which is performed wth a fetal monitor.  This assesses the increase in heart rate of the baby after fetal movement.  Dapat 15 beats above baseline ang increase.  It is also given a score of 2. 

Some of the indications for BPS are: if the mommy has medical problems like hypertension, gestational diabetes, asthma, etc., if the mommy is sick or has an infection, if the baby is already term or nearing its due date or post dated na, or if she complains that the baby is not moving frequently.

BPS is often requested from 32 weeks and up.

sa new world na lang ulit ako magpa BPS, dapat kahapon pero walang time.. kaya bukas na lang tutal open sila ng sundays...

sana nga 8/8 ang score ni baby ko....

yung OB ko dito, di ako pinapagBPS. kasi she does ultrasound sa checkups hehe. tapos nag nonstress test din kami and laging may kick count paguwi, 3x a day. tipid kasi nonstresstest lang ang babayadan ko at checkup

sis, ilan bang ultrasound lang ang dapat??? bawal ba sa baby un madaming ultrasound??? kasi if magpa BPS ako tom, pang apat na un (1st un transvi, then un CAS, tpos regular pelvic US, tapos ito)

sis, ako since third tri, every 2 weeks na more  tuwing checkup. di naman sya harmful. yung TVU lang naman yung minsan dinedelay ng ibang OB to avoid bleeding eh kapag feeling nila eh baka risky.

ok lang naman daw kahit ilang US since it makes use of sound waves so no radiation sa baby...

mga sis, di pa ako nakapag BPS, im planning to do that this week kasi un OB ko sa CGH said na di naman nagmamadali ito eh kahit next week na ipasa...

ang nabanggit sakin nun friend ko, nasa 600 lang daw un BPS pero di ko pa sure sa sat pa kasi ako magpa BPS sa new world na lang din...para kilala ko na sila...

Just had my BPS earlier, 8/8 naman with God's grace. Eleveted kasi bp ko nung last checkup, 36 weeks ako kaya my ob required it.

Sa MD Care pala ako nagpaBPS, P1k. Tapat sya ng St. Luke's QC

hay! di pa din ata lalabas si baby. every 3 days na ultrasound with NST namen. pero good news naman eh pwede pa kami maglakwatsa (ata!) hehe!
