hospital bag, ano dapat dala natin???

^I'll be packing our hospital bag on the 36th week to 37th week.  And as what was mentioned above, yes, better to pack and put in ziplock bags then label.  What I did during my first delivery is I packed two bags.  One for the baby and one for me and the toletries.  So before I went into labor, I already informed hubby that this bag contains all baby's needs, everything labeled inside and this bag our needs, toiletries and other miscellaneous things.  Atleast he didn't have any hard time looking for this and that.

Mommies, don't forget your going home outfit and kikay kit!  Funny ng OB ko, before wheeling me in sa Delivery room pinakuha kikay kit ko kay hubby. Para daw pag sa picture naka ayos ako. Haha!

Hindi ko nagamit yung pinack ko for baby except for the going home outfit. Sa MMC, they provided the blankets, mittens, caps, booties, clothes while we were there. Hiningan na lang ako ng damit nung pauwi na kami.  Pati yung mga alcohol, etc kasi may kit ang hosp. Better check din sa hospital nyo.

I shouldve brought extra binder though since soiled (bloodied) agad yung provided by hospital. Para lang sana may pamalit agad. A shawl is also most useful (pag malamig, or when visiting nursery or even coverup pag bfeeding at may biglang bisita).

Dont forget the documents, too, with extra copies para sure.

^I'm also giving birth in MMC. In three months pa naman. I thought you can bring stuff so you won't be charged for the extras? Or whether may dala ka or not, you will be issued with a baby kit?

I asked the doctor's office, wala naman daw ako need to bring for the baby. Ipporvide nila lahat. Dala nalang siguro ko yung nice-to-have tsaka paisa isa nung blankets etc and damit pang uwi. Next week mag start nako mag list ng gamit sa hospital bag ko and ni daddy.

I started to pack our hospital bag last night.  It's one separate bag for the non clothing things such as toiletries.  Among those were adult diapers, maternity pads, new born disposable diapers, 40% and 70% alcohol, cotton balls, feminine wash, mouth wash.  I still need to include bath soap, shampoo, joy, toothbrush, toothpaste, dishwashing foam to complete the bag.
Next is my incoming baby's needs.  Tomorrow, I'll be washing the diapers, towels, receiving blankets and other baby essentials.  So early of next week or maybe on Sunday, it's packing time for the baby's essentials.  Last to pack will be mine, hubby's and the pillows, beddings.  I feel more comfortable kasi if I bring with me my own pillows and blanket.

From my experience, in St Luke's, ito yung pinaka nagamit

- binder! Lifesaver ko ito as CS ako
- slippers for me and my husband
- maternity pads (recommended brand: Modess. Pangit yung Caress)
- boppy pillow, for breastfeeding
- baby's things: diapers, mittens, bonnet, socks, receiving blanket, swaddle blankets, burp cloths, baby wash, towel
- alcohol
- wet wipes
- cotton
- extra pillow and blanket for my husband
- toiletries and towels for me and my husband
- folder for all documents that you will be needing and that you will be taking home (doc's prescriptions, reminders, baby's records, etc)

Pinaka hindi ko nagamit
- adult diaper, sayang sa pera. Ok na maternity pads
- mommy's clothes except for one robe and going home outfit (was in the hospital gown practically the whole time)
- baby lotion/baby oil

^i havent asked my OB about this pero ang sabi ng in-laws ko, one month daw bawal maligo pagkapanganak. Lol. And my husband being a very obedient son, ganun daw ang gagawin namin. Haha kaloka.

Siguro for hospital bag dala ka na lang din kahit in sachets lang, kung di ka man iallow maligo, for husband's use lang.

Sabi ng sister ko usually daw pag uwi pa ng bahay naliligo.

Anyway, this weekend finalize na namin hospital bag ni baby. I will do yung clothing sets in ziploc with labels para madali iendorse kay husband. Hehe. Yung saken uunahin ko na muna yung mga consumables like maternity pads, etc. yung mga clothes saka na lang since going 32 weeks pa lang ako. I have to ask my OB pa din kung anong ipoprovide ng hospital para di magdoble doble.

^^old maid's tale na lang yung di pwedeng maligo sis. I was told to take a bath the ffg day after giving birth (sa pinas to) nagulat nga din mom ko kasi madaming pamahiin yun. Hehe! Dito basta nakapahinga ka, papaliguan ka nila.

^sis simang, I started labelling my ziploc bags last night. If sipagin ako mamaya or tomorrow, maglalaba nako ng mga baby stuff. Ang temperature namin dito almost below 20 C nalang lagi so mahirapan na akong mag abang ng sunlight pag pinatagal ko pa. Ihahandwash ko lang kasi lahat ng gamit ni baby tutal puro brand new naman so di yun ganun kadumi. Pigeon detergent powder ang nabili kong soap and i chose a hypoallergenic/sensitive fabric conditioner. Grabe I'm so ready! Hahaha!

Useful din ang disposable underwear. Para di ka na maguuwi ng bloodied undies tapon na lang. I bought mine sa watsons 199 for 5 pcs. 1 pack is enough.
My ob told me na okay na maligo sa hospital pa lang basta hot shower lang. Pero di pa rin ako naligo. Alam ko magagalit mother ko. Saka sa pain na nararamdaman ko sa mga tahi ko gusto ko lang magrest. Okay na punas punas ng body. Pero sa tahi wash talaga betadine and warm water para madali gumaling. Dala ka pala betadine in case di provided ng hospital. Nung naligo ako after 9 days ata tapos yung tubig ko may mga pinaglagaan ng kung ano anong dahon..bayabas etc.

Hi mga sis!
Advisable ba na magdala ng feeding bottles? Bought 2 pcs palang in case na wala pa akong milk agad after manganak. But planning to breastfeed talaga.

Yes sis advisable. Kasi ako din 3rd day na before lumabas ang milk ko. So khit strictly breastfeeding talaga policy ng hospital kinailangan  talaga magformula si baby kasi mababa daw sugar level niya. Pinapirma na lang kami ng waiver ng pedia. Dala ka lang ng bottles para in case lang kailanganin pero kung may enough breastmilk ka naman agad after giving birth mas maganda no need to use the bottles.
