Philips Satinelle Epilator HP6400
« on: September 06, 2011, 12:27:05 pm »
HI GUYS!

here's the link of this product and it's description :
 http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=HP6400/00&scy=gb&slg=en

my sister bought one of these and I have tried it once two weeks ago on my armpits, bikini line and lower legs..until TODAY wala pa akong hair na tumutubo  ;D

it's just like waxing, but the convenience of doing it in your own home and doesn't require sheets, tools, etc..just this product! I love it!

and what's nice is it's just sold in Rockwell,Philips store. this product is worth P2,200 ! and it's so convenient and easy to carry anytime anywhere..hindi battery operated ito..plug-in  ;D

mejo maingay siya ng konti yung machine kapag ng-on pero it really pulls the hair FROM THE ROOT!
Para kang ngbubunot ng sabay sabay..gnun yung feeling..and the hairs just flies out of the tool..

in that same shop sa rowckwell, they have another kit na iba iba attachments, eahc one specifically for: bikini line, down there (to get a brazillian), eyebrows, chin, etc..worth P6k all in all...

masakit lang sa umpisa..pero just like waxing..nasasanay ka din
and what's nice about it is you don't have to wait hangang mahaba na hair mo to do this..even if kakashave mo lang like 1 week ago..kaya ng hugutin!! astig!

magrered yung areas of course, again..just like waxing..

bibili na ako ng sarili ko nito!!

Thank you sis momentum for posting this. I'm also searching for an epilator. [textspeak!] i tried before was yung Braun, pero nakigamit lang ako.

hi girls  :D

second time ko ulit gumamit nito the other day lang ever since the first na gamit ko  ;)

used it again sa: legs, UA, bikini line and wherever mo pa gusto

this time mas tolerable yung pain sa UA at legs, kasi siguro nasanay na (kahit 2nd time palang)

just some tips after using this: (as as like waxing)
*do not wet the area or apply anything on the skin to prevent ingrown hair
*wait 24hrs or even just 12hrs before wetting. (usually i do it at night, mga 7:30, tpos by 5:am ligo na ako for work)

super instant lang ito, sobrang bilis para ka lang nagshave  ;) and in the convenience pa of your home. you can bring it with you anywhere para if you need to do some touch-ups, like in the beach, outings, etc, you don't have to worry

basta sa umpisa masakit syempre, just like waxing, but then it's worth it lalo na 2nd time mas tolerate nio na  ;)

there's a big difference from shaving and epilation. Epilation is like waxing narin, except na walang wax hehe, oo binubunot sya sabay2x

well in my case, di naman ako ngkachicken skin at hindi rin ako naiingrown, kasi di ko binabasa after using.

^thanks sis!

do you think it can reduces having chicken skin? yun kasi ang problema ko. almost 2years na kong nagwawax and i want to try the epilator. hassle free kasi saka no need to buy wax strip. saka tipid hehe. magpapabili ako dyan sa pinas then papabaggage ko dito.  ;D

oo girls, hassle free  ito and no need to go out and have someone else to do it for you, and plus, talagang matipid!

sis phurple0515
-ewan ko pero di tlaga ako ngkakachicken skin dito, sa legs man, UA or bikini line. Medyo chicken skin yung UA ko to begin with before trying this, kasi nga sa kakashave before, nadamage na skin. kaya i do my routines to help me get rid of this (calamansi, SBO, tawas).Naturally, lalo na sa first try ko, namula yung area sa UA ko, mga red spots sa legs kasi sa mga nabunot na hairs, kahit more than 24hrs na. but the next day, wala na. syempre first time kasi.

hindi siya mahirap gamitin, just like waxing, go against the hair growth para mabunot yung buhok, para kang nagshashave, except na binubunot sya. do it area by area, until makuha mo lahat, or kung medyo masakit na, balikan mo nalang ulityung hindi pa clear. sa legs, it helps mareduce  yung pain kapag istretch mo yung skin. Pagmas course hair mo kasi sa kakashave, mas masakit kasi makapal. and medyo maingay ito pag-On mo, hehe pero tolerable naman yung ingay, hindi disturbing  ;)

kaya ako hindi ko sinasanay sarili ko dati na magshave araw2, dati i shave minsan once in 2 weeks! unless kailangan, pra di madamage ng sobra yung skin at hindi makapal ang tubo. it helps din kasi na pahabain ang buhok eh, well, case to case basis ito satin. in using an epilator though, like what i said before, you do not have to make your hairs long before doing this. kahit 1 week of not shaving lang kaya na niang bunutin (of course visible na syempre hindi yung under the skin palang na hair ha)

and syempre the next day na ginawa ko ito, i regularly do my routines for better skin and whitening (calamansi, SBO, what have you) para mas maganda yung result  ;)

I've been epilating na for almost 20 years, Braun naman is my epilator. Good thing meron ang philips kasi nga medyo mahal ang Braun pero my last one lasted for more than 10 years regular use sa legs, so worth the price. Have to say the hair on my legs nabawasan, and when it grows back it's finer din. I can get away wo epilating for 2 weeks din, tho sa UA you'll have to wait for the hair to grow back a bit longer para madaling mabunot, if too short it'll be painful or yung skin ang mabunot, mas masakit yon! I still get chicken skin sa UA, it's still plucking, so now been applying sbo after reading threads here. Seems to help, but at least epilating doesn't make my UA darker like shaving does. Pero must say after epilating super smooth ang UA mo. :)

Talagang you'll experience redness and irritation after epilating, so I like using an after epilating lotion to calm the skin. I use my Giga No Itch balm nalang, it helps ha. I've ordered an after epilating lotion sa states, will also look for ingrown solution, kasi ito talaga after fx ng epilating.

Re using it sa bikini line, yup it's medyo painful but you get used to it. You'll need a lotion talaga for this area cos it does get red. ;)
