In my case, I paid in cheque for the we care package for CS delivery, maybe because it is a prepaid promo and it would take more than three days clearing before my scheduled CS. But my ob and anes also accepted my cheque payments for the additional charges.

in my case, once you get to the hospital you do not have to pay anything. pero once you need to secure a room after giving birth, that's the time you have to make a deposit. Requirement ng SLMC GC is Php 20,000.

After that, kapag id-discharge ka na, you have to settle all the payments. SLMC GC accepts CC payments. Pero yung professional fees ng doctors mo, yung iba they prefer cash -- like my OB. Pero ang anes + pedia, CC ok lang sakanila. Lahat ng CC payments, sa billing section ng slmc ko s-in-ettle

I gave birth last Sept 3 in SLMC Global City. I availed We care package, Semi-private, for uncomplicated repeat CS under Dra. Angela Aguilar. Upon admission you will pay 98k. Discharged today and here is the bill for 4 days stay:

additional 5k for lab tests, materials, drugs not covered by package.
less 11.4k for Philhealth claims of Mother.
Philhealth claim of baby as dependent can be claimed within 30 days upon birth certificate submission.
net hospital bill is 91.6k

I love my OB. She's very practical and caring! In fact, hubby was able to cut cord and witness the operation. While other OB will tell you to get Regular rooms, she will encourage you to get the package if your pregnancy is uncomplicated.

Hi sis! Plan ko din kasi lumipat SLG and still scouting for an ob..yung ob mo ba ang nag suggest na i avail mo yung package or nag ask ka? Yung ob ko kasi sa makati med quoted me 130k for cs.

I would also like to share my experience last week since this is about Childcare thread

My daughter fell off from the stairs on Wed night then she vomited the next day so we brought her to the ER. The ER Doctor requested for a CT Scan but since she is just 2yo, she can't stay still. I would like to commend the CT Scan Department, we had 3 tries. First nung gising sya, gumagalaw talga, second tulog sya, pero nagising din, then nung naka sedate na sya. I felt their compassion for my daughter. May kasabay kaming may CHD, at naalala ko na naman ang PDA nung daughter ko nung pinanganak sya.

Second, yung anes, Dra Estrellas. Tama lang ang pagkasedate kay V, She woke up right after matapos ang procedure which lasted for about 3-5 mins. Then walang side effects after, I mean, no vomiting, etc. She was back to her normal self after about 15 mins.

Third, Pedia doctor Dra Poblete and the resident pedia Dra Sy. They were all very patient and very informative. Si Dra Sy ang finally naka insert ng IV sa daughter ko after 4 tries since we went to the hosp. The ER nurse tried 2x. He was very apologetic na hindi nya na insert even with the vein viewer. Last time na naconfine ang daughter ko doon, same nurse ang nakapaginsert ng IV sa daughter ko. We were thinking baka kasi lubog na mga ugat nya that time kasi more than 12 hours na syang walang food, water or milk.

These doctors are all accredited with Maxicare

sis gave birth last nov9 nsd nasa 118k bill namin  (ob,pedia, anesthesiology) 4100 kc room namin for 2days lang naman, mahal kc pf ni ob nasa 45k, pedia is 15k anes is 18k, high risk kasi ako so we cant avail the we care package.

no need to deposit kasi on my case 8cm na ko when we went to the hospital, after i gave birth ng namimili na sister ko ng room dun pa lang kami pinagdeposit ng 20k.

my OB is from SLMC pero pwede siya sa Global. Since I'm nearer Global, Im planning na baka dun ako manganak.

how much kaya ang rates nila without the PF of the OB, would you know?

Questions naman po... Yung mga binabayaran sa hospital, mapa package man or hindi, aside from panganganak... [textspeak!]-ano yung mga kasama sa newborn care? Like pedia fee, vaccines, hearing test, etc... May list ba kayo ng bill for newborn? Sa insurance ko kasi nakalagay newborn care included except for hearing test, at may dalawa pa na di ko maalala... Di pa kasi ako nakakapag inquire sa hospital na panganganakan ko kung ano ano ba ginagawa at binibigay kay baby, baka sa inyo may breakdown, pashare naman..tia

^hindi ko mahagilap receipt e pero aside sa hearing test, may newborn screening test, bcg, hep B. tapos yung antibiotic for the eyes. they also give vitamin K.

^ thanks sis, nakita ko na yung kasama sa package ng hospital, hearing and blood grouping hindi kasama.. Idodouble check ko na rin siguro sa insurance ko.. Kasi nakalagay lang:

Roomg charges
Operation theatre rental/delivery room care/cathlab charges
Surgeon's/obstetrician fees
Assist surgeons fee
Anesthetist fee
Meals for the guest..

Although sa insurance ko nakalagay newborn care included.. Kaso sa baba ng package medications and vaccinations di daw kasama, kalito tuloy..

nun nanganak ako sa St. Lukes Global parang wala yata kami nilabas na cash.. kasi hospital bill and PF ni OB, CC ginamit namin tapos PF ng pedia and anes ang alam ko parehong check payment..

not sure pero de luxe room ata kinuha ni hubby, nasa P4k a day, mas malaki yun room sa small private room tas may lazy boy, induced labor ako kaya nagstay pa ko sa HRPU ng mga less than 6hours, ending ko rin CS.. total bill namin mga nasa P160k to P170k, mga 4days stay sa hospital..

OB PF - not more than P75k
anes PF - mga nasa P32k yata
pedia PF - P10k

tapos hospital bill na yun iba..

okay na rin na we didn't have to pay in cash, kahit kaya naman syempre hassle pa rin magdala ng cash na ganun amount

sa ibang hospital kasi binibigyan agad ng formula.

^they will teach you how to properly latch your baby, they will massage your breasts. Yung ob ko taught me how to massage my breasts too. And they never, ni-once they told me na, "mommy, nagugutom na anak mo, bigyan na natin ng formula" basta ang turo lang talaga ng mga nurse, have your baby latch on you every 2-3 hours, kahit madaling araw, talagang gigisingin ka, dahil kahit konti may lalabas at lalabas talaga na milk sa iyo, kahit few drops lang, meron talaga yan and it can satisfy your baby na.

same with TMC and Cardinal Santos where I gave birth.  Bawal na bawal formula.  The nurses would call me and tell me na it's time to BF my babies na.  I'm assuming ganun din sa St. Luke's.  Sang St. Luke's ka, sis m_lim?  Global or QC?

normally, yung OB, may partner na anesthesiologist and pediatrician sa hospital.  it's up to you if you still want that pedia to be your baby's pedia after you leave the hospital.  ako kasi, parang nag-shopping ng pediatricians before i finally found "the one", hehe...
