Meron sis, the nurses there will teach you everything you need. At SLMC Global I learned how to give my son a bath, change his nap pies an breastfeed properly. For the nursing cover, my suggestion is buy from Sm dept store na lang. They have one right now na P799 that comes with a slip-on pillow. Plus may boning young cover so easy to latch the baby because makikita mo siya.

one of the best things i ever bought is a breastfeeding pillow. you can check out bosom buddies.

What's the brand of the nursing cover na may boning?  Btw, what room type did you avail when you gave birth at SLMC Global?  May nurse ba na tutulong sa pag-aalaga kay baby? Or kelangan may kasama ka ng yaya to help you since you're still recovering from child birth?

Pahabol na question   For those na NSD with episiotomy, anong post partum care ang ginagawa sa SLMC Global?  During my previous childbirth experience in another hospital, iniilawan ng peri-light [textspeak!] episiotomy to help in wound healing.  Sana may ganun din sa SLMC.

Hi! I highly recommend Dra. Asuncion Jing Fernandez, siya nagpaanak sakin, I gave birth last June 20 and sobrang maalaga niya. Lumipat ako sakanya 2 weeks before I'm due pero sobrang alaga niya. June 19 sinabihan niya ako na pwede na ako mag check-in. June 20 saktong 12 midnight nagpunta na kami sa HRPU ng St. Luke's Global. Sobrang tiyaga ni Dra. Jing and hindi nya kami minadali. Up to the last minute tinry namin mag NSD pero nung hindi na kaya, tsaka talaga kami nag CS, pero we waited 15 hours, talagang hindi nya pipilitin CS kung tindin nya kaya. Sobrang galing niya and nung kinakabhan na ako before the CS, she whispered a Prayer sakin. She is so nice and talagang hands-on, you can call or text her anytime. Inabot ng 150 yung sakin pero usually 65-85k lang ang normal. I thank God that I found Dra. Jing! God bless you all!

Sa QC ako nanganak, Sis. That time kasi under construction pa yung birthing room sa GC-- my Husband and I wanted that room para kasama ko sya, my son and my parents while in labor and during delivery.

We availed the birthing room sa QC. Buti na lang it's not occupied when I was about to give birth-- 1 lang kasi ang birthing room sa QC.

My OB's name is Dra. Grazette Cayetano, very mabait and pretty.

i also plan to give birth sa SLQC but yung OB ko ang quote sakin is 120k for NSD with epidural. sabi nya need ko daw epidural and possible assisted birth (forceps or vacuum) kasi i have MVP. SOP ba talaga sa mga merong MVP ang magpa-epidural?
And mahal ba singil nya? Baka meron po makapagrefer ng other OB kasi parang napakamahal naman considering hindi pa naman ako nakakaclassify as High risk patient..

My OB gave me her packages na mas mura I see her sa St Lukes GC though, but nag cclinic din sya sa SLQC. Ang uncomplicated NSD nya 2 days sa regular private 81,000 lang w/ epidural na:) mas mura pa kung ward or 2 section room.  Ang CS sa regular private nya ang quote nya sakin 126k lang She gave me a copy of her packages with the breakdown.

And she's really good her name's Doc Judith Perralta. She won't make you undergo procedures if you don't really need it. Before I got pregnant I had polyps and another doctor told me I won't have a baby unless I undergo an operation to remove the polyps. I went to Dr. Perralta and she said its not necessary and she taught us how to get pregnant. ONe try lang I got pregnant na. And you can discuss budget concerns with her. Everytime I go there I ask her about the package. She told me last time I went there pa nga to get the semi private room nalang mas practical. And she'll give me daw a pedia na hindi mahal maningil

hi sis, the one I got is just Baby Company na brand. Just ask for the nursing covers sa dept store. Bago lang yata yun eh. It comes with a pillow. Super sulit.

When I gave birth, I spent around 36 hours sa HRPU then we moved to the exec room. There's no stay-in nurse but you can avail of one for I think P2500 per half day. I didn't na kasi my husband was there and in the morning my mom, dad and the yaya would be  at the hospital anyway. Plus, the nurses are on call so when my baby would cry and I don't know what to do, we would buzz them lang.

I was NSD so around 6 hours after birth when I was brought up from recovery, I was already walking to the bathroom on my own and I even took my IV with me. My husband was equally tired kasi he was with me sa HRPU labor room and delivery room. I realized then that it is not so bad naman, The only thing painful was my episiotomy and the fact that I did labor for 34 hours...

Hi mga sis! Glad to be back here and share my birthing experience. I gave birth on June 28, 12:55am. I was already 2 days overdue when I was admitted on June 26, stayed in the Labor Room for 2 days. I was induced because my cervix was only 2 cm dilated. It only progressed when they gave me meds and Eveprim. Pero hindi talaga ako pwedeng mag-normal because mataas and position ni baby so na-CS ako. Our total bill including baby's is 147K. We stayed in a regular private room, okay sya maluwang na rin at makaka-accomodate kahit medyo madami ang visitors. I think its worth it dahil sobrang bait lahat ng doctors ko, from Dr. Jing Fernandez (ob), anes, pedia, endocrinologist. When we look at our beautiful baby girl hindi na rin namin masyadong maalala ang expenses kahit nag-exceed sa expected namin dahil sobrang joyful kami nadeliver sya ng maayos at healty. Sana lahat ng July mommies will have a great and smooth birthing experience!

that's really not bad kasi ako i spent 170k sa scheduled cs na wala namang complication. i didn't even use the labor room. :p malaking bagay din talaga yung ob. sa bill ko, pinakamalaking charge dun yung pf ni ob. mukhang okay si dra. jing fernandez. yung mga nag-post here na siya ang ob, parang reasonable ang mga bill nila.

thanks mga sis! tama kayo malaking bagay talaga ng bill yung PF ng ob. to think yung sakin talagang hinintay pa ni doc na mag-fully dilate ako kasi as much as possible gusto din nya ng normal delivery. plus yung anes, pedia at endo na nirefer nya super bait din at hindi masyadong mahal maningil. i highly recommend my ob, sa next pregnancy ko sa kanya pa rin ako by that time siguro scheduled CS na lang. and if i may add, ginandahan nya tahi sakin. inee-expect ko hindi bikini cut kasi mas expensive ata yun pero nung pinicturan nya nung dinalaw kami sa room ang ganda ng pagka-bikini cut yun tipong hindi ako mahihiya sa mister ko na may tahi ako sa tyan. hihi...

sis yna_alex, just want to know about the baby's birth certificate that the SLGC issued... did they give it to you right away? does SLGC take care of registration in Taguig city hall? ilang days kaya ang processing nito? hope you could share these info with us : ) TIA!
