Gave birth at SLMC GC last March 18...Total is almost 180k for NSD. It includes the following:

2 days at the Private labor room (HRPU)
1.5-2 days at the exec private room at the 8th floor (Maternity wing)
PF of the following doctors: OB, Anesthesiologist, Pedia, Immunologist (I'm an APAS patient), and Pediatric Urologist (we had my son circumcised kasi kaagad)

Medyo mahal but I super love my experience giving birth there. I couldn't imagine laboring alone. During the 2 days of labor, I was with my mom and husband kasi they are allowed to stay and sleep with me sa private labor room. They each had their own lazy boys plus we had our own toilet.

Buti na lang I have great healthcare.

^^ grabe over na over sa budget ko hehe.. ikaw ba pumili ng room? did you avail the packages or the 20% discount? saka when ka nagpunta sa hospital like pagkastart ba ng contractions mo?

^Sis, my OB said to go to the private labor room sa HRPU kasi APAS patient ako...I couldn't avail of the package kasi first birth ko ito. Also, I used a Citibank Mercury card so may 5% off pa ako sa hospital bills excluding PF. I was also able to get a discount from my Ob na 5k which lowered to cost of the anesthesiologist. I chose the Executive Private room kasi room-in policy ang SLMC GC. I wanted a bigger room so hindi masikip when there are visitors plus my son and I can be comfy.

I went into HRPU at 1cm. I was induced. I've asked other friends who gave birth at SLMC GC, I have one na nag-birthing suite pa then emergency CS, pareho lang kami ng ginastos. Another one who had labor sa common labor room then deluxe private (the most basic private room) kaya lang na ICU si baby so she spent around 230k. Another naman standard labor then deluxe private for 2 days, NSD  and she spent 120k.

it really depends on how much young mga PF mo and room type.

Yes sis. Regarding labor naman, it depends sayo when ka pa admit. Sabi ob ko once may bloody show, or nag rupture na bag of water or intense contraction every 10 mins, pa admit na. Pero ako kasi ayokong nagtatagal sa hospital kaya w/ my first, nagpa admit ako 7-8 cm na ko. Just stayed overnight kasi di kami makapag pahinga ni baby. Every few hours may check ng check sa amin. So it's really upto you.

Hi! Gave birth at GC March 25:
Ito un SUPPOSED expenses if baby didn't need to go to nursery
Small Private Room = 2500/day, 2 days
Regular Labor Room, not the HRPU, labored about 16 hours came in at 2 cm
Room-in
>Hospital mommy = 30k
>Hospital baby = 15k
>OB = 30k
>Pedia = 6k
>Anes = 12k

Kaso nanursery si baby kaya inabot ng 150k...

Highly recommended ko OB ko kasi sa laki nun baby dapat CS na pero sa kanya kung may chance na normal ittry nya hindi un CS lang ng CS, kaya bilis ng recovery ko. Super caring, magaan un kamay at naaalala nya everything about her patients. During labor mmonitor ka talaga nya, hindi un dadating nalang para saluhin si baby ;-)

^alam ko pwede lahat ng ob sa slmc sis. Better call them to be sure.

Hindi pala pwede for first born ang we care package. I now need to look for an OB na may package rate, can somebody refer me to one? Though di pa ako familiar sa rates ng current OB ko who is accredited there. At least meron akong comparison. Thanks in advance!

Based on my experience, malayo ang difference ng GC sa QC. I was hospitalized 3x during my second pregnancy-- twice for threatened abortion then the last was for my delivery na. I spent 2 nights muna sa HRPU ng QC and my bill was around 25K lang. After 2 weeks na-admit ako ulit for the same reason sa GC naman and my bill went up to 90K-- that's for 3 nights' stay.

Tumataas kasi PF ng doctors ko nung napunta ako sa GC since based sila sa QC although may clinic rin naman sila sa GC.

Tapos during my delivery balik QC na ako since wala pa birthing suite noon sa GC, under construction pa. We paid around 160K for 3 nights' stay sa birthing suite. Gave birth October 29, 2010, btw.

my ob from SLMC QC said talagang mas mahal sa GC even though at face value mukhang pareho lang sila ng rates. pwera na lang siguro if you choose a ward in GC vs. a private room in QC.
