Share ko lang my experience.. Gave birth via CS last May 2011 sa SLMC-QC. My OB is Dr. Jorge Estanislao. Eto yung rates:

hospital bills - 18k (na-less na yung philhealth; stayed there from Thurs to Mon, semi-private room)
labor room - 3k
OB - 50k
Pedia - 8k
Anes - 20k

Total: 99k

sakit sa bulsa! atleast ok naman si baby

 Gave birth via cs, pre term at 33 weeks and 2 days.

Dec 22 - stayed at hrpu 5500/ day
Dec 23 - labor room 1500/ day
Dec 24 to dec 29 - semi private room 1500/ day

Hospital bill : 67k
Ob - 34k
Anes- 16k (epidural)
Perinatalogist -6k

Mommy total bill: 123k

Baby stayed in nursery for 11days because he is premee.

Babys hospital bill: 46k
Pedia : 18k

Total baby: 64k

TOTAL: 187k

The best mag alaga lahat ng nurses, staff and all. Walang masungit. And considering our case na preterm and ang tagal ng stay namin sa hospital, di ko inexpect ganyan lang ang bill namin. Kasi ang quote nga sa kin sa manila doctors 150k no complication cs. Super worth it manganak dito, basta be sure yung ob mo is matipid din or should i say na practical sa mga gagamitin, ob ko pili nya pati mga gamit for dextrose kasi yung tri-fuse na pang dextrose 700plus yun. Samatalang yung single 60 lang ata. Concern din sya sa gagastusin ng patient nya. Kaya super love ko sya.

I agree, maganda talaga manganak sa St. Lukes, service is excellent. but after reading aleng maganda's post, gusto ko yatang atakihin ng post partum depression. I gave birth 2 months ago and we paid a lot, akala ko ganoon talaga and rate at ganoon talaga and aabutin ng hospital bills. But it appears na young iba hindi naman ganoon kataas. case to case basis talaga, but could rates in gobal be much higher than that in qc?

for a cs delivery, we incurred the following expenses:

5 day stay in hrpu - P6,000/day
private room - P3,200/day
hospital bill: CSection - P75,000
OB - P75,000
anesthesiologist - P 30,000

total bill for mommy - P180,000

for baby - born preterm at 36 weeks and 2 days:
1 month stay at NICU - P480,000
NICU Team - P83,000
cardiologist - P25,000
ultrasound - P4,500

total bill for baby - P592,500

total hospital bill for this birth: almost P800,000

naku po, hanggang ngayon masakit na masakit ang bulsa namin ni baby - but pag nakikita namin si baby, naliligayahan naman kami, ayaw na namin isipin gastos. our baby is priceless.

^^ Sis, mahal talaga pag pre-term baby.  And pag mas mahal ang room mo or suite, mas mahal din ang PF ng mga doctors.

Si aleng_maganda kasi nasa semi-private room, ikaw nasa private room kaya malaki ang difference.

May range kasi silang mga doctors na sinisingil na PF depende sa room na kinuha mo.  Kung nag-suite ka, higher pa ang PF.   

Kaya ask your OB for ways na makakatipid.  Hindi lahat ng OB ay vino-volunteer ang ganyang info.

Pero ang laki ng difference ng singil sa NICU ng St. Luke's at NICU sa Madocs ah.  Yung twins ko 2 months sa NICU sa Madocs, 700k++ ang bill nila, samantalang sa iyo, 1 month lang, 500k++ na.  Sino ang mga members ng NICU team?  Ang pedia ng kids ko now si Dr. Resti Bautista is a neonatologist at St. Luke's Global.

  Sis, my ob is dra. Joana rey-matias. My perinatologist is dr. Tan, my baby's neonatalogist is dra. Gatmaitan...

Yung PF ng OB ko when I gave birth was 50K. Depende kasi sa room. I gave birth via normal delivery and I got the birthing suite. Tapos during my first confinement, 3K lang yung PF nya sa high-risk section per day-- during my second confinement sa Global, 9K na sya per visit kasi mas malayo and she has to ride the shuttle to check on me since sa E. Rod talaga sya based.

Hi mga sis, pajoin po. I plan to give birth at slgc. Im due next mo. Sa first born ko, i gave birth sa tmc. Does slgc have baby bag/kit din? Which includes diaper, baby soap, cotton, basin, etc. sa tmc kasi meron. Didnt bother na about baby's supply. Thanks.

kya nga feeling ko mapo-post partum depression ako eh. It is only after reading aleng maganda's post that i realized, aba teka bakit sobrang laki yata ng inabot nang bill namin? Yoko na lang sabihin kay hubby because i was the one who insisted na sa Global manganak when hubby originally had PGH or Mak Med mind.

Kaya siguro mas mahal ang bill kasi your baby stayed in nicu, which as fas as i know is 4k+ per day. While my baby stayed in nursery lang, 1600 per day lang. Anyway whatever the number is, importante is okay na mga bagets natin ngayon. Sabi mo nga, PRICELESS INDEED!

my ob in st lukes is dra. thelma avendano-elio. she's very nice, and thorough naman. for normal ang quote nya saken was to prepare 70k, for cs eh prepare 120-130k. no complications yung prices na yun, at SLMC-QC. she prefers QC over Global kasi di daw nakakapili ng anes sa global so di nya kilala.

i travel back and forth qc-bulacan. if dito naman ako sa bulacan abutan, may ob din ako kinonsult and 30k normal, baka may sukli pa daw lol!

Hi sis kyrie26..  are u give birth already?  kasi were both the same.. my Ob is Dra. Thelma Marie Avendaño-Elio as St. Lukes QC.  She quoted me the same as yours.   70k more or less for normal delivery and doble the price kapag CS.  She's nice.. tsaka simple pero pretty din sya.. Niwey, Im working here at QC pero pag weekend umuuwi ako ng bulacan.  I want to give birth sa St. Luke's especially first time mom ako.. so gaya ng iba.. may fear.. I just feel safe pag St. Luke's .. :-) Sa June pa naman due date ko.. Share mo naman sis experience mo with Dra Elio.  siguro this time.. nanganak ka na.. siguro.. :-)  Thanks, Thanks!

nicu, which as fas as i know is 4k+ per day. While my baby stayed in nursery lang, 1600 per day lang.

wala kasing nursery sa st lukes eh. all well babies are roomed-in with their mothers. preterm babies and those with health concerns go to neonatal intensive care unit (nicu) directly from the delivery/operating room.

  ^ meron sis, yung room where the breastpump is yun yung nursery yung room on the other side yung may division na door and puro incubator yun yung nicu, am talking aboutst. Lukes qc here.  Meron pang isang room sa may dulo, i dont know kung anong room yun..

Ask ko na din pala yung mga sis natin na nag-stay sa birthing suite sa SLMC-QC. i'm a first time mom at wala pang masyadong idea pag dating sa mga ganyan. pag birthing suite ba from labor to delivery to recovery na mags-stay dun? how much ang total bill compared to normal private room? TIA!

^She is also my OB, and I am happy with her. I gave birth last October via C-Section in St. Luke's Global and Dra. Guinto delivered my baby. I am glad I chose St. Luke's Global because I had a truly wonderful hospital stay. Akala ko nga the best na ang delivery ko in MMC years ago, but when I experienced SLGlobal, I can say, it is the best. The service was excellent and the treatment, first world standard. Admittedly, it is highly expensive there compared to other hospitals, but when you think about the excellent medical care that they give, sulit na sulit, pag-ipunan na lang.

Hi sis, question about kay Dra. Guinto, magkano ang consultation fee nya and may clinic ba sya sa St Lukes QC?

hi mga sis! i can say na worth it manganak sa st luke's. my hospital bill that time may 1 2010 around 200k plus..CS kase ko.di pa kasama anes pedia and ob(Prof fee) sa OB ko 10k anes 10k pedia 2k..mga sis wala kong binayaran sa hospital bill FREE ako dun kase ko nagwork before yung PF lang binayaran ko discounted di..and mga sis grabe more than one day ako naglabor stat CS kase ko yung Anes ko on call lang dahil wala yung Anes ko talaga as in super asikaso palageng ina update ako kung nafefeel ko na toes ko epidural kase ko ayun nagloload na nang anesthesia,,super pain free talaga.mura pa nang binayad ko to think na on call lang siya and that time kasama niya family niya sa movie house manonood nang sine IRON MAN ayun iniwan niya the next day pa ko nanganak.mga sis alam niyo ba na bago ibigay sanyo yung gamot niyo or iadminister sa inyo yung gamot may clinical pharmacist na nagchecheck nung meds kung tama ba and kung tama ba dose sa inyo..together with that bago ibigay sa inyo yung gamot chinecheck din yng mga drug interactions..di ba you feel safe after hearing this.that's what we do I myself is a Clinical Pharmacist. sa ibang hospitals walang clinical pharmacist na nagchecheck basta bigay lang nang bigay nang meds. lahat nang nursing unit may clinical pharmacist na naka assign

@iamgold:  wow!! talaga.. may clinical pharmacist talaga.. nice to hear that!  Well, I have the right choice..  Sa June pa naman due date ko.. 4 months to go.  I want a normal delivery.  OB ko si Dra. Themla Marie Avendaño-Elio.   Is She ok?  Any feedback from her?  First time mom.. kaya medyo may fear.. haha..    kaya pinili ko talaga St. Luke's to give birth... I want to be safe and my baby also, of course!
