^ USD is widely accepted in Cambodia. Halos parang ito na ang kanilang official currency at hindi riel.

Yup, USD is widely accepted, kaya very convenient. Even sa ATMs, USD ang dinidispense. Then panukli nila pag barya ang riel. Nagpapalit lang kami USD to riel para sa currency collection ni hubby. Sayang nga walang 100k riel na bill dun sa money changer, madalang daw kasi yun. 50k bill lang pinakamataas na nacollect ni hubby.

i used dollars entirely sa trip namin but if babalik ako i will use both riel and dollar kasi di ako makabuy

buy sana ko ng leather bag na parang Hermes kya lang na bad trip ako dun sa SA, una 370$ daw
then after discount naging 600$,, nabuwusit ako , type ko pa naman bilin kaya lang baka maloko ko

backread cambodia and vietnam-cambodia threads.. need clarification kasi medyo nalito na ko and di ko marecall kung san ko nabasa.

ano yun sites na included sa angkor complex? kasi  we're thinking of purchasing ticket after 5pm para valid pa until next day. our question is, can we still watch the sunset kung after 5pm pa kasi baka naman mahaba pila at di na kami umabot. 2nd question is, ano un included sa pass para yun hindi is yun ang pupuntahan namin before 5pm sa day 1.

^ yung Phnom Bakheng is open until around 6:15-6:30pm for sunset. However, do note na malalayo ang mga sites sa Angkor complex and me konting hike din paakyat ng Phnom Bakheng. If 5pm as in walk paakyat na, pwede pa siguro. Yun nga lang, hahanap ka pa ng pwesto para makapicture ka kasi most likely madami na tao nyan. Most people e umaakyat ng 4-4:30pm.

If 1-day pass lang balak nyo kunin, you can cover in a day Angkor W.at and Angkor Thom Complex (Bayon, Baphoun, etc). Malalayong lakad to sis ha. Better if you have a tuktuk or taxi on standby para medyo madaling maglipat from one area to another.. consider also the weather.. Depende sa pace nyo, baka pwede nyo pa masama si Ta Phrom (Tomb Raider) sa 1 day. But personally, I'd still suggest getting the 3-day pass kahit 2 days lang magagamit, para hindi rushed.. then pwede nyo pa puntahan ang Bantay Srei, Bantay Samre, etc.

Halos lahat naman kasama na sa pass. Isang hindi kasama na for me is ok naman puntahan is Beng Mealea, but it's medyo out of the way so it depends what time kayo pwede magstart sa day 1, para umabot kayo ng 5pm sa Phnom Bahkeng for sunset viewing..

nabago yung flight namin. naging 5 days. so we will do 2 days cambodia, 2 days thailand. back read uli.

sayang walang night trip cambodia v.v thailand

1) how much kaya charge if magwithdraw sa cambodia? Possible ba 'to? Praning lang ako sa dala kong cash hehe.. just for emergency.
2) is Globe roaming working in cambodia?

^ yes, you may withdraw sa ATMs dun. USD ang dinidispense ng machine. I forgot how much charge, but it's usually minimal lang, and fixed charge per transaction. That's why it'll be more sulit if you withdraw the max amount allowable. Or you can bring USD na from here para di ka na papapalit or magwiwidraw pagdating dun.

Globe and Smart roaming both work in Cambodia. But I think wala lang silang roaming partner dun for the usd10/day unlitimited data (if I recall correctly)..

Anyone who's been to the Angkor W.at complex, may nakita ba kayo na nanita yung APSARA police for peple taking prenup photos??

Anong earliest bus trip to bkk from siem reap? Ano rin yung earliest pabalik? Or most convenient mode of transpo.  Thanks

Anyone who's been to the Angkor W.at complex, may nakita ba kayo na nanita yung APSARA police for peple taking prenup photos??

Wala akong napansin na nagpeprenup pictorials sa Angkor W.at nung andun kami.. and napansin ko yung police mostly sa me outer area lang, sa loob wala masyado.. I just think na masyadong crowded dun for pictorials,  baka mahirapan to get shots..

Morning kami andun.. got there arnd 8:30am yata.. well you can try siguro.. sabi kasi ng guide namin, always masaming tao..

thanks sis. my guide told me we should start 6-630am tapos unahin yung likod para konti daw yung tao then around noon kami pupunta sa main entrace.
sana nga magaling guide namin. most likely, we will take photos sa less visited corners ng complex =)

^ganyan ang ginawa nung guide namin sis.  Simula kami sa Ta Phrom so pabalik.  Ang huli yung Angkor [textspeak!] after lunch.  Mas konti yung tao kasi pabaliktad nga plus masyadong mainit kasi yung after lunch na lakad ng mahaba eh sa Angkor [textspeak!] side may shade kasi madaming puno naman.

Maaga pala kami pumunta dun (courtesy of our Tuktuk Driver na hostel employee din) para sa Sunrise.  Then binalik nya kami sa hostel for breakfast.  Tapos mga bandang 8AM, pabalik na kami ulit sa complex.
Yung tour guide nyo gawin nyo din tiga-picture =)

^  Di ko pa na try matulog on any airport but i think doable naman sa Sg/ changi airport dami natutulog even sa Hk/ bkk ewan ko lang sa siem reap red eye flight namin dun
