mas gusto ko sa phom penh. =) nagustuhan ko kasi yung hotel where we stayed sa Le Marais Boutique Hotel. pamangkin daw ng king yung may-ari nun at the staff are so okay and generous.

by the way, i wore fitflop the whole time and it worked naman. =)

Hello pano ka nagbus to BKK? How much fare and anong bus? what time din yung travel mo and ilang oras yung travel? dami ko tanong sorry. heheh just want to know the best option.

mga sis question lang, kung kunyari bumili ako ng daypass ngayon sa angkor complex pwede ba na bukas ako magsunrise? or dapat within the day ang sunrise at sunset viewing? thanks in advance

^sis, ang alam ko parang after 5 pm dapat bumili para sa next day ticket. pls check sa iba, di ako sure.

^930pm na kasi ang dating namin ng feb 28.. so dapat pala bumili na kami daypass nun..

iniisip ko sana day 1 (mar1) namin tour + sunset, then day 2(mar2) na ang sunrise.  kaso parang may nabasa ko na pwede daw next day pero panibagong bayad, kala ko add ka lang ng konti para sa sunrise/sunset. may nakatry na po ba nang ganito for a day pass?

^sis, iba yung case namin, one-day pass lang binili namin pero nung next day kami nag elephant ride around bayon temple which is within the temple complex so dapat magbabayad ulit kami ng pass. pero napakiusapan naman ng tuktuk driver yung guard, sabi namin mag-elephant ride lang kami tapos labas kaagad. baka pwede ganun dun gawin nyo.

mga sis pa help naman..mukhang malabo kasi na pumunta pa kami ng vietnam... we will be arriving in siem reap at 9:30PM on may 14..and will be going back to manila on may 16 at 10:30pm..
i was thinking na may 15 mag angkor [textspeak!] kami and then on may 16 mag PP kami..kaya ba? is it possible? di naman kami ma lalate sa flight namin?

^sis san ba ang flight mo pauwi? sa pp o sa sr? sabi ng mga sis natin 5-6hrs daw ang byahe in between, kung sa pp ang airport mo pauwi, ok lang siguro basta early morning or gabi palang bumabyahe na. pero kung sr din ang airport mo, medyo mahirap yata.. wait natin ibang sis kung may sasagot.

thanks sis applerock, sa second day nalang kami mag angkor para kahit sobrang aga ng gising ok para sa sunrise at makabili na din ng ticket day before, maglilibot nalang muna kami sa siem reap sa first day

Just came back from Siem Reap tour. I dont usually post reviews but our tour guide was super nice and informative that I wanted to share our experience with him here.  His name is So Sophea, and he has been a guide for 8 years. For those who like knowing the history of the temples, and to fully appreciate the intricacy and beauty of the temples, I suggest that you get an accredited tour guide and not just a tuk tuk driver/guide. The accredited ones can enter the temples, while the tuk tuk drivers that serve as guide can only bring you to the temples (unless they buy their own passes).
We got to know the story of the temples as well as the story of pre and post Khmer regime in Cambodia. This trip was truly an eye opener. I understand now why tourists often say that they love the Cambodian people. Siem Reap is still very rural and you can see poverty everywhere. But the people are so kind, and the kids are really sweet. Ang ayoko kasi is when people use their situation in life to make paawa, na parang it’s your responsibility to give alms because theyre poor. Ang mga tao doon really try to make a living by selling anything and everything. One dollar for them is a super big deal na.
My opinion din kasi is that, nandoon ka na din so might as well really enjoy and get the most out of the experience kesa naman you save a few dollars nga but you don’t really learn or understand or become a more informed individual after the trip. 
So Sophea as out tour guide had an excellent grasp of the English language and grammar. Other tour guides that we heard had a very thick accent kasi and not very wide ang vocabulary. We highly recommend him. Google him nalang if you are interested in acquiring his services.

hello mga sis, ako din just came back from the trip.  Siem reap lang ako. Medyo may electricity issue nitong weekend, sa bou savy kami nagstay and since black out wala kaming kuryente for 3 nights pasulpot sulpot lang as in 2hours ganyan, ilaw lang ang kaya ng generator.  Mahirap kasi mainit sobra, panay ang paypay namin, at 3x maligo haha.  Pero all in all mabait naman sila kaya ok na din at nagbigay sila ng 50% discount every night ng stay namin kasi nga walang kuryente.  May mga area na may kuryente meron wala, pero balita ko everything is back to normal na. 

I highly recommend to visit war museum too, parang great realization din sya how blessed you are.
Nagenjoy ako sa temple tour, kahit angkor w a t palang sobrang happy nako. Sobrang babait ng mga tao, nakakatuwa.  Also, must try din ang fish spa nila, malalaki ang isda, along pub street 1USD for 10mins lang naman, iba pala feeling ng fish spa pag malaki ang isda, kinain nila lahat ng kalyo ko. Hehe.

^ along the road lang din sis, from bou savy around 5-10mins tuktuk ride siguro. May entrance fee siya 5USD, may free guide naman to tour you around and tell stories of Khmer regime.  If limited lang time and wala na kayong chance pumunta sa landmine museum, this is a good alternative na din.

was able to book a manila-siem reap and ho chi minh-manila tickets for November. makikita ko na rin si Angkor w.a.t! yey!
