sa mga nag stay sa bou savy guesthouse, tanong ko lang kung nag nagbook kayo thru agoda or dun mismo sa website nila. thanks

Hi Sis, yup good deal na. Yung samin nasa 4K/pax nabili ko nung P99 sale nung March. Was in Siem Reap nung Oct 4-7.

just got back to our Vietnam = Cambodia, we stayed at Angkor Pearl then 2 nights at La Marais in Phnom Penh. We went there oct 15-16, we decided not to have the 12hour bus ride since locals advised us na sobrang traffic kasi nag long holiday sa cambodia.

La Marais such a great hotel and super nice ng service nila.

we met Ho , tuktuk driver, he is really nice  and super alaga kami.

we had buffet dinner with traditional show at 12usd each.

^tumaas na rin pala...nung 2009, its only $10 lang ang buffet with traditional show...:-)

Ok lang ba mag cambodia na siem reap lang ang pupuntahan?
Kasi kung mukhang typical lang ang phnom penh ok lang naman siguro mamiss?

OK lang. mas maganda naman talaga ang siem reap. I went to Cambodia via Malaysia (wala pa kasi direct flight from Phils. at that time, that was May 2010). Even then, we never considered going to PP kasi it will take long hours of bus ride just to go there. Siem Reap has that charm that brings you back to the past.

By the way, we stayed at Villa Siem Reap. They took care of our itinerary. Their service was excellent, staff were friendly and accommodating. The owner (or one of the owners, i think), is australian (based on her accent), was friendly and took time to chat with us.

Former king. Tatay ng current king nila. Namatay nung Oct 15 ata, so nung pumunta yung kakilala ko, in mourning ang Cambodia kaya wala daw mga traditional show.

ah, ok sis...akala ko yung current king...bata pa kasi yun eh....:-)

we were there nung namatay yung former king. and medyo affected kami, kasi that night oct15, the manager of the hotel showed to us the Royal Family picture wherein one of the nephews of the current king is the owner of the hotel.

tapos kinaumagahan, the manager broke this news and we were supposed to have the chance to meet the owner kaso nga lang daw nagderecho na agad sa palace.

i'll be spending christmas holidays in phnom penh. any recommendations where to dine in? and other activities to do? i've been to the usual tourist spots already and i'll be alone almost the entire time. hehe
