mga sis may entrance fee ba kayong binayaran sa Beng Melea at Banteay Srei? we plan to include this on our 2nd day, so bali plan namin is 1st day ang Angkor Waht complex, ito yung mga gusto namin mapuntahan sa Angkor:

Angkor Thom
   -Bayon
   -Terrace of the Leper King
   -Terrace of the Elephants
Preah Khan
Ta Phrom (Tomb Raider)
Banteay Kdei
Angkor Waht (sunset)

sisses help, pano ko malilibot ang cambodia as a solo traveler? different ba ang arrangement sa mga tour guides when going on solo? thanks!

i did a solo travel in SR, same lang, i hired a tuktuk driver and a guide. nalibot ko naman ang complex the way i want it.

^ yeah payment. pano naman maghire ng tuktuk driver and guide? kelangan ba talaga ng guide?

^ same lang ang payment. mahal talaga ang solo travel, walang kashare! pwede sana up to 3 ang sakay ng tuktuk. i searched online for a guide, meron din nyan sa guesthouse na pagsstayan mo. halso same rates lang din naman.


Actually hiring a tour guide is optional, you can tour the complex all by yourself. But Im happy I chose to get a guide. Why?

- with a guide, I had a strategic and less time consuming tour inside. I dont have to walk back where I began the tour, my tour guide exactly knew where's the nearest gate to the next temple.

- if I feel like skipping this particular temple, my tour guide will just call the tuktuk driver on his mobile and right away he'll pick us up and bring us to the next temple.

- and of course, I need someone else to take my photos. Hihi

Excited na ko!
Fruitypop, ako yan din itinerary ko plus beng melea and banteay srei in one day! Sana kaya nga, nagpasabi na ko sa bousavy guesthouse na kunan ako ng guide.

sa bou savy ako nagstay, at kahit hindi ako nagsabing kukuha ko ng tour guide at driver, may kumausap sakin at nag-offer sakin about the tour. nahiya pa nga kong sabihin na - sorry, i already contacted someone else beforehand.  (ok lang daw yun at happy sya for that cambodian man)

plan din namin sa Bou Savy magstay, may mga inooffer silang package eh na included na lahat, pati tuktuk at guide, sulit na yun. email ko nga sila at iclear ko yung mga inclusions sa package

Hindi worth it puntahan yung Kbal Spean (at least for me). Masakit sa katawan yung forest hike and you have to climb huge slippery rocks with your bare hands.

Pagdating namin sa mismong Kbal Spean, we were like "Yan na yon?" Sayang pagod namin. 3 lang nakita naming carvings. Kala namin marami.

how can i go to bangkok from siem reap? how many hours travel time?

Mga sisses,
My hubby and our friend will be in Siem Reap for three days, after which, alis na yung friend naming and my hubby and I will be staying for an additional 2 days.  CebPac kami, so and flight going back to Manila (via Siem Reap din) ay late na ng gabi.

Anyway ego po yung IT namin:
Day 1: Angkor Thom, Phimeanakas, Elephaht Terrace, Leper King Terrace, Ta Phrom, Bahkeng Mt Sunset
Day 2: Angkor sunrise, Banteay Srei, Pre Rup, Preah Khan
Day 3: Being Malea, Kompong Phluk, Tonle Sap

Worth it po bang magenta kami ni hubby sa Phnom Penh sa Day 4 (killing field, genocide museum, palace), then overnight then sa Day 5 (any suggestions) tapes balik ng Siem Reap for our 10:30PM na trip pabalik ng MLA.

Concern ko po kasi baka pagod ang byahe to and from PP-Siem Reap by bus.
Would you suggest na we explore other places in Siem Reap instead (Baka may has worth it puntahan pa doon).

We will be getting a guide for the first 3 days, yung last 2 days wall pa talaga along maayos na plano, nalilito pa ako.

nag bus kami from SGN - PP then around 4PM nakapag tour pa kami sa PP (Genocide Museum, Killing Fields) then dinner sa may river (parang Roxas Blvd).  6 hrs din ang travel time.  Tapos overnight sa PP then the next morning bus ride ulit PP - SR, another 6 hrs. Pag dating sa SR around 4PM nagtuktuk na kami to Angkor complex to buy our tickets tapos sun set view.  in short, hindi naman kami ganun napagod sa byahe.

sa Day 5, siguro city tour sa umaga. I'm not sure though sa schedule ng bus from PP - SR, so check mo na lang and take consideration sa oras ng flight nyo from SR to MLA.

Magkaiba yun experience ng SR saka PP, SR being all about temples and earlier history ng Cambodia.  Sa PP, about sa story nun country during the Khmer Rouge times, communist empire during the late 70's.  If you're into history, then I think it's all worth it.  Personally, I wouldn't skip this part.   You may want to watch the film, The Killing Fields, to have an idea. HTH

nakakapagod talaga ang bus trip..kami nga nun galing pa kami ng vietnam..although, caution lang mga sisses, kasi minsan nagkakaron ng aberya at nala-late ang bus pabalik kung san man kayo papunta, baka maiwanan kayo ng flight..so kailangan siguraduhin niya na may leeway kayo sa time ng pagbalik to manila..lalo na sa mga naka-cebu pac...kami kasi nun PAL, kaya medyo ok ang time.:-)
