minsan kasi diba,parang di mo na iisipin kung nakamura ka or napamahal, kasi nasa ibang bansa...kung iisipin mo pa yun, parang di mo mae-enjoy yung trip...ako kasi ganun eh...iniisip ko na lang talaga na $1=1php hahahah...kaloka no? ganun lagi isip ko, parang di na ako nagco-convert, kasi wala, walang mangyayari sa akin kung iisipin ko pa kung mahal ba yun or hinde...basta enjoy lang the trip...charge it all to experience...

Question: Is the tuktuk driver different from a guide?  Or same lang. I am confused.

Yung tuktuk driver ba, sasamahan ako pumunta sa mga temples? Or will he just park and wait?
Am wondering if the driver/guide will take my pics while I explore the temples because I'll be doing my Cambodia trip solo - so far.

^ Yung mga guides, they have this permit to enter the temples with their guests. Hindi lahat ng tuktuk drivers may permit so ihahatid ka lang nila and iintayin sa labas.

Hello 

may nakatry na ba sa inyo from HCMC to PP (ETA to PP is around 130 PM) then tour Killing Fields + War Remnants Museum? Overnight lang kase kami sa PP then early morning leave for SR naman.

Doable kaya? 

baka meron din kayo feedback on where to stay in PP. Meron na ko 'napupusuan' hehe pero baka meron pa iba.  medyo wala kase ko masyado mabasa about PP madalas puro SR.

^kaya nyo naman ng half day yung killing fields and war remnants. although kami walang guide, binabasa lang namin mga caption sa pictures. saka you wont be able to stay long din dun, sobrang depressing. akala ko nga hindi na ako makakakain ng lunch (we went morning) after nung tour na yun eh.

Billabong hotel/resort at yung pinag-stay-an namin. naging friend namin yung bar tender. hehe. lagi syang nagwawall post sa friend ko ng "hi beautiful" or "youre my bestfriend" kakatawa lang.

@sis Frozen Toes: thanks for clarifying! Mas mahal pala rates ng allowed guides compared sa mga tuktuk drivers. Some charge $50/day. Either kelangan itaas ng budget or makikiusap sa ibang namamasyal na nagpapicture.

kaya na yan ng half day. ayaw niyo sis na sa genocide museum na lang instead of war remnants museum? sa fancy guesthouse namna kami nag stay. around 15-17USD yung rent namin sa tuktuk nun. medyo malayo din kasi yung killing fields sa city.

ang mahal niyan ah! usual charge for a day tour sa temples e 25USD. pero depende p rin talaga to sa mga pupuntahan niyo na sites.

4:00 PM Buy Angkor w-a-t Day Pass for Day 3 (we'll tour Angkor Thom na din, di be pede na pumasok sa hapon?)

Yes, malayo ang Beng Mealea. Mga 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Siem Reap. Nagpunta kami ng Beng Mealea and Koh Ker, we left SR at around 7AM. Gabi na kami nakabalik.

@london: Oo nga, for two days pala yung rate nung guide, nabulag ako. Teeeheee!

@alanis_junkie: We have the same IT for days 1-3. Will be spending day 4 in the far-flung temples. Scouting for rates of the vehicle now kasi car kelangan.

@Frozen Toes: May car ba si Sam (tuktuk driver) to go to Beng Mealea? And licensed guide ba si Sam (allowed inside the temples)?

^ Yes, may car siya. Car yung ginamit sa two-day tour namin. Hindi nga lang sya licensed guide so nagbibigay sya ng background/history while driving or before we enter a temple.

Sa TripAdvisor ko sya nakita. Highly recommended kasi sya don.

ok lang ba wag na kumuha ng tour guide? kasi dun sa bou savy package kasama na tour with tuktuk driver.

of course it's your call.
pero for me, worth yung pagkuha ng tour guide. alam kasi nila yung shortest way to explore the complex. alam din nila where to find the nearest exit. you'll be thankful kasama mo sya, na kakapagod kasi maglakad sa loob..

yung sa pass niyo, pwedeng for 1 day na lang kunin niyo, no need for the 3 day pass. yes, pwede ng kumuha ng pass sa afternoon and pwede niyo ng gamitin na not counted sa day if applied after 5pm) pero medyo madaming kumukuha ng pass sa afternoon, so depende na dito kung ano ang ma eexplore niyo.
"Validity
Angkor Passes issued between 5 a.m. in the morning and 5 p.m. in the afternoon are valid the same day. Angkor Passes issued after 5 p.m. in the afternoon are valid the same day until sunset and also the next day. Other than this exception, visitors may NOT buy a ticket in advance."
keep in mind na nagsasara din ang mga temples. ang usual na ginagawa dito e watch the sunset at phnom bakheng.

you're staying at bou savy pala. you can actually email them then ask for their advice kasi pagdating niyo naman dun, if dun kayo kumuha ng tuktuk sa kanila, kakausapin kayo nung driver about your plans. so mas ok na ngayon pa lang e maplantsa niyo na sched.

day 2 - pp to sr, rest, get 1 day pass, watch sunset at phnom bakheng, apsara, night market
day 2 - sunrise at angkor w@t, explore angkor w@t, breakfast at gh, explore angkor thom complex, ta phrom, lunch, bantay srei

^ maraming salamat! I updated our iti and will communicate with Bou Savvy na lang din. So far reservation lang nun rooms namin ang napag usapan namin ng Bou Savvy

isa pang question, lulubusin ko na hehe. san makakakuha ng tour for the killing fields and genocide museum? and you still have an idea how much for the tour para lang may idea kami if we're getting the right prices.

^ no need for a tour / tour guide. just hire a tuktuk then sabihin mo you want to visit killing fields and genocide museum. kami sa fancy guesthouse, yung sumundo sa min sa bus stop ng virak buntham e yun na rin kinuha namin para i tour kami. between 15USD-17USD ata yung rate, can't excatly remember how much. i believe you can still get it at a lower price pero kasi ayaw na naming maghanap pa and mas kampante kami na yung sumundo na lang sa min ang kunin kasi at least kilala siya nung may-ari ng guesthouse and mukhang mabait naman =)

^ hey thanks! we did get someone from fancy guesthouse na din to pick us up sa bus station and then sya na din mag tour smen. 30usd for an aircon car..4 kami. not bad I guess
