will be going there na next week, excited na kami ni hubby. ang naisip ko pa lang na must see are of course, AngkorWat and apsara dance.

is it worth it to go to AngkorWat for the sunrise or sunset tour? kasi meron kasama yon sa iba e. San murang mamili ng pasalubong, sa night market ba nila?

Will be staying in Bou Savvy and he suggested we do my itinerary once we arrive there. Inisip ko lang baka me makalimutan pa or meron hindi worth it na ma-suggest sa amin so we can scratch it off. im planning to bring only 500 USD for the 3 days 2 nights trip namin, ang guesthouse naman namin is less than 100 USD lang for the whole stay so kasya naman na siguro. Madami kasi nagsasabi na mura nga lang daw sa SR.

parang familiar sa akin sis yung bou savvy...parang nakita ko yata siya nung umikot kami...sabi nila, both daw worth it puntahan, sunrise and sunset...kami kasi nung pumunta sa angkor, tanghali...:-) kaya sobrang init nun...

ok ang night market nila sis.. yung mini night market napuntahan namin, pero puntahan mo din yung mismong night market nila...yung mga kasama namin, pumunta rin sila dun...kami kasi napagod na dahil buong araw nag angkor kami...sila naman, nag-apsara dinner ba yun, then nag-night market nga..pero according sa mga nakasama namin, di nila nagustuhan yung apsara dinner na yan...kasi di raw masarap yung mga pagkain yata...diba parang $10 lang yata yun, tama ba ako? mas maganda pa raw yung sa thailand-siam something...sorry, kasi kami din rin pumunta dun...:-) mga kuripot kami...:-)

No, sis. Di na ako dadaan ng Thailand kung makakakuha ako ng murang trip to KL. I'm actually still open to other routes, pero wala kase akong masyadong time eh.

5 days lang ang pwede ko i-alot sa trip na ito so as much as possible, yun pwedeng air travel, yun talaga preferred ko. I won't pass by PP anymore na rin.

Actually, Siem Reap & HCMC talaga ako nag look forward.

For some reason, yun KL leg ng trip na ito hindi ako masyadong excited.

^^ wah, hahha, thanks sis for that...siguro try namin yong night market after the apsara dance, gusto lang namin makakita ni hubby ng live na sumasayaw, then off we go, heheh. para daw magamit niya bago niyang camcorder.

@sis paw-yeah, worth it ang angkor...and also ang vietnam...simple ang life nila pero gosh, worth it..the whole trip, the food...even the people...mababait sila...

@sis phurple-hay naku, yung apsara dance na yan, di nga kami nakanood ng live pero sa bus ride namin papuntang cambodia from vietnam, di kami tinantanan.:-) sayang nga at di kami nag-avail nun, kasi $10 lang naman, with dinner na yun...umiral kasi ang katipiran eh...:-) yes, karamihan sa mga foreigners sa night market bumili ng mga pasalubong...kami kasi as usual sa mga grocery nila nagpunta...more on food kasi kami...:-) although, naalala ko, ang daming trinkets na binebenta sa night market, at mga shirts, mura lang...parang mga $10 above din, and pwede ka pang tumawad...maganda rin yung mga bags nila...:-)

sana nga next time, makabalik ulit kami ng cambodia, pero this time, will explore phnom penh naman...:-)

@phurple0515, mura lang sa night market if marunong kang makipag tawaran... and better ask around muna kasi kahit 2 stores lang pagitan ang laki na ng difference sa presyo

mabait ang staff ng bou savvy, mejo malayo lang siya from the night market but you can avail of their tuktuk service

^ Sis, sa night market mura lang ang Khmer scarves. 1 dollar lang tapos kapag bumili ka ng 5, may libre pang isa.

Maganda din yung mga Cambodian scrolls. Mura lang siya, mga around 2 dollars depende sa size. Maganda talaga mamili kasi yung scarves at scrolls may lalagyan pa na native box. Meron ding mga spices dun, lip balm at medicinal balm.

o diba sis phurple, sabi ko sa iyo, kayang-kaya mo ang night market sa cambodia...mabait naman yata ang mga tuktuk drivers...never tried tuktuk sa cambodia, kasi naka-shuttle van kami from our hotel, kilala kasi ng kasamahan namin yung manager ng hotel, kaya medyo ok ang service namin...makukulit lang ang mga tuktuk drivers, yan ang napansin ko, kahit saan, mapa-thailand ka man or diyan sa cambodia...lalo na diyan sa cambodia, di ko makakalimutan nung pinutakti kami ng mga tuktuk drivers pagbaba ng bus terminal...kaloka yun...:-) hinde ka nila tatantanan...:-)

^ parang taxi drivers sa KL sentral din, hehe...

sige, balitaan ko kayo pagbalik namin. next friday na alis namin e. sana wag mag-over baggage kung ganon kamura mga mabibili don. parang sa AngkorWat lang talaga iikot mundo namin sa SR.

^short lang pala, but do enjoy it...i-pray mo lang na hinde umulan...kasi medyo maulan yata ang october sa kanila...when we went there, umuulan sa hapon...pero buti na lang, tapos na kami sa angkor tour namin nun...kundi putik-putik ang beauty namin...

madami restaurants dun na nag-ooffer ng apsara at night. iba iba din ang rates nila. we didn't try it kasi nakatulog ako nung second night namin. sayang. panay daw gising ni hubby sa akin pero di ako matinag. hehe. pagod na pagod kakalakad sa angkor.
sa tuktuk drivers naman talagang kukuyugin ka nila sa airport or bus terminals. kaya ingat. pero kami sinwerte kami both our tuktuk drivers in PP and SR mabait. saka pakyawan na namin sila kinuha kaya walang hassle.

i just came back from my cambodia trip and it was totally worth it.
airplane tix of cebpac and airasia cost around 10,000php
motherhome guesthouse-20 usd per night
tour guide + driver+ van=200 usd for 3 days

we visited angkor thom, ta phrom, angkorwat on the first day and boy, it was soooo hot in the afternoon. i almost fainted. we had to cut the trip short and rested 4pm onwards at the hotel

2nd day was cloudy with rain. we did preah kan, ta som(love this),east mebon and pre rup for sunset. cooking class close to the old market was timely because it rained from 11-1pm!

3rd- bantaey srei, landmine museum and beng melea with a short stopover to preah ko and bakong.

i liked the rolous group and ta som as it doesnt have a lot of people in the temples, bayon for the faces of the king and beng melea for the indiana jones feel.
disappointed with angkorwat itself. LOL maybe i have really high expectations
need to spend around 5 usd per person for the food. we had massages and splurged on some desserts and wine for dinner.

tip: catch an apsara dance/ dinner and dont forget to tip your guides/ driver to show your appreciation.

^ also got dissappointed with angkor w-a-t. when we saw it, parang yun na yun? hehe the other temples are mcuh better IMO!

sis, what was your point of entry to Siem Reap?
Yun 10K is balikan na, including ticket going back to Manila?

hi southpaw! my drivers name is sampho. you can find him in tripadvisor. just request for a better english speaking guide from him coz he is only a driver. wish he was the tour guide instead coz he speaks very good english but hes unlicensed and the government is very strict about unlicensed guides na. they have a 200-300 usd penalty.

cebpac :mnl-kl roundtrip: 6000php
air asia: kl-sr roundtrip: 5000php
