Suggest a Church - Thread 2

Hirap din ako sa church.. It will be a Sunday wedding kasi yun yung date na napagkasunduan namin ni H2B.. May suggestions ba kayo kung anong Catholic Church ang nag-ooffer ng Sunday Weddings?

^Kami din sis, we're planning to change our church. Di kasi bet ni mommy yung Paco Park Chapel. Sunday wedding din kami sis baka gusto mo itry dun. Manila area kami so far ang nasearch ko pa lang na may Sundays: San Agustin, San Sebastian, UST Church ata & yung sa may Adamson (di ko lang matandaan name nung church).. Baka may masuggest pa kayo within Manila. TIA!

Mga sis! Nakakita na kami ng church sa may philam homes sta. Rita de cascia. May sunday wedding din sila kaso hindi sila available sa original date namin kaya nag saturday na lang kami. 15k yung wedding package nila. Yung dating church namin is sa may our lady of consolation parish in tandang sora (nira homes), 20k ang package nila. Hindi namin nagustuhan yung service nila kasi parang nagmamadali,hindi ko alam kung dahil ba sunday at may misa after. Nawala yung 'this is it' feeling habang patapos yung ceremony. Kaya ayun, we decided na magpalit na lang ng simbahan at pakawalan yung DP namin.

Mga sis, baka naman meron may idea sa inyo kung yung UST Chapel ba is open to public? We're not graduated from the university baka kasi exclusive for Thomasian lang un. TIA!

Hi mga sis! question naman, may naka experience na ba ng wedding at our lady of loreto church sa may villamor air base? we plan to have our wedding there but is on 2014 pa kasi h2b's uncle is a an ex-army so the reception will be the clubhouse para mas makatipid.

@+arte20+ manila-based din kami kaya ang hirap talaga humanap ng church.. one of the problems i foresee with the UST Chapel is the traffic.. at kung rainy season pa, baka bumaha..

^naginquire ako kanina sa UST chapel for november or december sana kaya lang wala pa daw sila schedule. by june pa daw sila magaccept ng reservation for weddings kasi wait pa nila yung list of activities nila for the next school year. tsaka ang mahal na pala dun sis, 24k na daw!

2013 bride here. looking for an airconditioned church in makati sana yung may malapit na reception na affordable. ok na sana sakin yung makati park and garden kaso i've read na irerenovate daw next year. backread muna ko.

why not consider St. John Bosco Parish (Don Bosco)

hi mga sis.. I highly recommend yung Church nmin during our wedding last Dec. 29, 2012 Nuestra Senora De Gracia in Guadalupe.. 15,000 yung rent sa church kasama na priest, flowers sa church, candles (except yung offertorty na candle).. super ganda ng labas at loob ng church.. madami pa parking..

hi all, newbie here. we originally booked st. pancratius chapel and the paco gardens for ceremony and reception venue (since we want an intimate church wedding w/ garden setup) but with the crazy climate we decided to move our venue to glass garden. i'm a 2013 bride and an expectant mom (high risk) so as much as i want to personally scout for a church, im forbidden from travelling.

can u pls advice naman the pros/cons of these churches we are considering:

Christ the King, Green Meadows
Archbishop's Palace, Shaw Blvd - hindi ba to masyadong malayo sa glass garden?
St Ignatius, Camp Aguinaldo
St Joseph, Camp Crame

suggestions are very much welcome as well

also, if you know other churches na hindi hassle for Cavite and Valenzuela guests, i would highly appreciate your suggestions. salamat!

Hi sis! Church ko is Christ the King, and I guess yung pros niya is aircon siya and napaka-ganda ng altar niya. Napa-wow kami ni h2b nung nakita namin!

Ang cons lang siguro ay, it is quite a big church and since 100 guests lang kayo, then baka magmukhang empty siya. Pero feeling ko naman magagawan ng paraan yun ng photogs hehe.

For those, na naghahanap ng affordable na church in Manila. You can try St. Jude Thaddeus in Malacanang. 7k lang sya with officiating priest and red carpet.

ours is Mt Carmel Shrine, yung malapit sa Gilmore. Mega haba ng aisle kaya dramatic ang bridal march hehe. pero i suggest, kahit saang church pa, mas maganda magdala ng own priest. here's the kwento:

We always pass by this church going home to Marikina through LRT Line-2. Tanaw na tanaw ito from LRT pati yung Oasis. Sabi namin, someday, we’ll get married on that church and sa Oasis and venue (di pa naming alam na Oasis and name nung venue before). I also thought that this was the St Theresa Church my friend is saying, kaya I really wanted to have our wedding here. But because Glass Garden and initial na dream reception venue ko, we looked for other church na mas malapit sa reception. Turned out we had to let go of the reception venue to have our wedding at Mt Carmel. Brother Eli who’s in-charged for weddings is also very nice and helpful. The aisle is very long din kaya dramatic talaga and bridal march. Nervous to the max talaga ako pagtungtong nung bridal car sa harap ng church and nung narinig ko na yung Canon in D for the entourage march. The in-house sound system kung may strings ka is very nice and clear din. 4 hearts ang rating ko kasi we were not able to have our personal vows huhu. The priest used their old misalette kasi, maybe he can’t read the one we’ve prepared. Kaya dapat used the exact font na lang and size from the template na ibibigay ni Brother Eli. Also, na-realize ko after the wedding, na better to bring a priest along with you. Yung resident priest kasi medyo nagmamadali. Hindi nya kami sinabihan ng “you may now kiss your wife”. Hinabol din sya ng coordinator naming to have our picture taken with him pero nagmamadali na daw siya at may mass pa siya sa Greenhills.

Sis depende ang rates nila kung weekday (12k) or weekend/holiday (15k up) depende pa sa oras yan.
 try looking for this churches manila/pasay area almost same rate sa malate. sila yung pinagpilian ko kasi from bulacan naman mangagaling yung mga guests ko.

^ thanks sis. try ko din check yung mga namention mong churches..hindi pwedeng pabor lang sa isang partido yung layo baka sabihin naman unfair and hindi pumunta yung ibang mga bisita kung sobrang layo sa kanila

^naku correct sis. sa amin meet halfway. marikina ako manila si hubby. so sa QC kami hehe. although demanding mama ko dapat daw may sasakyan lahat ng kamag-anak namin papunta QC. medyo nalayuan nga sila pero nagpunta naman lahat ng mga nagconfirm na pupunta
