BPI's Maxi Saver?

Was about to open a maxi saver at bpi but after reading here, i chose advance savings instead.

^ impossible ata  sis na thru online kasi need mo rin mag filled out ng forms parang new account
kasi sya.

I just learned na may timing sa pag wiwithdraw sa advance savings. I am not sure kung every
first week of the month lang otherwise may bawas din. Mas okay ito kung no withrawals for
months.

@ mavhy: if new account sis, u u need to go to bpi to open Advance Savings, then you can transfer online for your additional deposits, you can monitor it thru online.

Im intersted in maxi saver im just thinking if i need to open another account for my emergency fund. I just want to save money in maxi saver without withdrawal.

^sis ako nagopen ng advance saver for emergency fund (passbook only). Yung interest napupunta sa settlement account ko which is an ATM.

Good thing is nakakapagtransfer ako ng fund sa advance saver using bpi online, nakikita ko din yung balance.
Nung una sabi ng taga bpi either balance inquiry or transfer lang ang pwede gawin online. I was surprised na pwede ko gawin pareho.

^as of now nag bpi direct muna ako if hindi pa rin ako mapalagay dito then saka ako mag switch

Hi! I want to open a maxi-saver passbook account. I'm just wondering how will I withdraw using my passbook account? Do I have to give an ID everytime I withdraw or I just present my passbook? Thanks in advance for answering.

Hi sis helen, withrawing funds in maxi saver is just like the normal savings account. It is required to present the passbook along with a valid ID.

I just opened my advance savings, hindi pala naroroll over yung interest so you have to top-up pa if you want additional savings, diretso sa atm yung interest which is credit the day after the enrolment (thus the term advance). Mabilis lang yung pagopen just present IDs then the initial deposit then you will receive your passbook na.

Financial goal ko for 2014 na ilipat sa BPI Maxi-Saver ang EF ko. For now, sa BPI Direct ko muna ipa-park. By late 2014 or early 2015, hopefully, mailipat ko na sa Advance.

Weird naman, i put 100k in BPI advance (bpi Family, inetrest rate of 1.5%). tama lang ba na ireceived 45 pesos only na interest after 1 week?

^sis interest is 1.5% per annum. For 100k asa 125 pesos per month ang interest.

i have a joint account with my daughter ,and another accpunt for myself.
and pinapaldahan ko ng remittance ay yung personal account ko,weekly ako ngtransfer funds sa joint account namin para weekly allowance ng daughter ko

Same here! Trying to complete the 52-week challenge and hopefully I'd be able to open a BPI Maxi-Saver or and Advance account by the end of this year.

I spoke to a bpi branch manager.

He recommended the maxi saver rather than the advance.

Binabawi daw ang deposited advance interest if there's a withdrawal while mas fuss-free yung maxi saver.
