BPI's Maxi Saver?

Nag open din ako ng BPI Maxi Saver, 3 months ago.  Pero di ko alam na may mga offer pag di nag withdraw.

Gusto ko rin sana magopen dito kaso fear kasi namin ni hubby dahil may unpaid cc siya dati eh bigla maglaho ang pera namin hehe.. Anyone here na nakapagtry magopen ng account sa BPI na may unpaid na cc? Sabi kasi nila, layuan daw ang bangko na may utang kang di nabayaran

Garnishment ang tagaw sa assets na forcibly kinukuha para pangbayad ng utang. Meron mga exempt assets like GSIS/SSS contributions and Insurance Policies.

Kakaopen ko lang din nito last friday. I pulled out my TD from BDO because of their poor service and low interest rate..  At least, makukuha ko kaagad sakaling kailanganin, though hindi ko pa naman din sya nagalaw nung nasa BDO pa yun money..

Tama si singidsnoel, garnishment yun at hindi yun pwede unless may court order
sila at kung may court order sila, hindi [textspeak!] bank accounts ang pwede i garnish,
pati yung properties nyo except the family home I think, pero kng may 2nd house
kayo, fair game yun.

mga sis question, kasi i have bpi savings which i opened before pa. and i wanted to open maxi saver. do they accept ba to transfer? like...i'll transfer my regular savings account to maxi saver? have anyone done that already?

^^so meaning pwede nga talagang mahila ang money sa bank.. pero need ng court order? tsk tsk..sayang ang maxi savers

Opo pwede pero the point is, with a court order, halos lahat rin
ng mga properties mo ay magagarnish.. 

@ merchee, I did that.. I first transferred 50k from my BPI Direct
to BPI Family Settlement Savings account and then I opened up
an SDA account with the 50k directly debited from my BPI Family
account

yay! thanks sis, i'll try nga to transfer to maxi saver some of my savings...para maging emergency fund. para yung nasa regular savings account...for sinking fund na lang.

Hi sis, to open an account... you need 2 gov't IDs, 1 pc 1x1 picture and the money 10,000 maintaining balance for passbook and if you want your money to gain interest deposit at least 25,000.

hi sis, magoopen dapat ako sa passbook account sa bpi pero wala na daw sila nun 10,000, ang inooffeer na lang nila na may passbook ay yung maxi saver na 75,000 ang opening

BPI Family has smaller maintaining balance and higher interest rates compared to BPI.

Hi sissies! Do you think BPI maxi saver is a good start for students? I'm entering school again and I want my savings to gain interest sana habang di ko ginagalaw.. Long term ang goal ko para after ko grumaduate, kahit papaano tumaas yung ipon ko. I am considering BPI Family kasi i just get my savings from my allowance and so hindi sobrang laki yung savings ko.. Sorry sissies for stupid questions. I've been backreading from different threads kasi I saw Time deposits, SDA, mutual funds, etc.. Mas nalito ako but I know maxi saver is just like putting your savings in bank at di gagalawin and it will gain more interest.. So walang risk to? Tama ba? May marerecommend ba kayong other option/s? Thanks!
