^same here. Dapat kusang loob sana kasi at the end of the day pag narealize mo na kaya ka pinakasalan kasi parang pinilit lang.

hi! sissies.. total opposit naman ang situation ko dito. we get married last december 2014 si hubby ko angg super persistent sa church wedding namen and we are going to have our church wedding on our 1st wedding anniversary this year. half way na kame ng bayaran sa wedding preparations namen. i'm a virgon when we get marry. sobrang ginalang ng asawa ko yun. we've been boyfriend-girlfriend for a year and 4 months lang the we had our civil wedding na. Gods' grace and blessing binigyan ako ni God ng ideal husband. but i must say na our relationship is not perfect naman pero pag dating sa aspect na ito mukha namang bliness ako.. well i know that every girls dream is to have a descent and nice wedding and i believe lahat naman tayo dito gusto ikasal sa simbahan. it felt so sad ng mabasa ko yung topic ng post na ito. but still i am trying to understand what are the reasons of your husband bakit ayaw na nya na ikasal pa kayo sa church. well! if in terms of budget naman i am pretty sure na even though may mga anak na, na of course priority, i still believe that if there's a will there's a way, meaning kung gusto talaga  may paraan.. baka naman medyo na rerelax si hubby mo na ok na lang na sa civil kayo kinasal baka need nya ng encouragement and motivation to pursue your church wedding besides sis lets' just look at the brighter side pa din of the situation minsan naman kasi kahit gaano kaganda ang kasal at the end of the day naghihiwlay din. what i mean is wala din naman siguro yan sa ganda o simple ng kasal ang mas mahalaga yung kayong dalawa after you made a vow of forever right? GOD BLESS YOU!

Feel ko most women who wants to get married sa church after civil wedding doesn't necessarily want the blessing from the church eh. I don't know, some people just want the prestige of being a bride that's all princessy and fairy tale-ish. Aminin natin yun naman ang sinasabi nating dream ng bawat babae, yung maging prinsesa for a day. Yung ibang weddings na nafifeature sa wedding blogs, especially the destination ones na ginastusan talaga, some of them are civil unions, and still, kung ikaw ang bride magrereklamo ka pa ba non? Lol I guess what I'm saying is, marriage is always about the partnership. Personally I don't see the difference between a civil and a church union, kasi in the end mag-asawa pa din naman kayo, and that's what's important right?

I have to agree with the point that was raised here na kung hindi pa ready si male partner, wag pilitin. Guys are pragmatic, gagawin nila ang isang bagay if they feel like they can. Pero kung marami pang ibang priorities, let it be. Hindi naman din siguro maganda sa feeling ng babae na pinilit lang magkaron ng wedding for the sake of.

i still want to get married in church kahit 5 yrs na kami civilly married. i have a marriage certificate but i still want a church wedding. kahit blessing lang, ang problem ko lang is muslim si hubby kaya parang ayaw nya ng catholic church wedding. gusto nya un wedding in islam para daw ma-experience ng friends namin un. eh the catholic church wedding ay promise ng asawa ko sa parents ko when we got married the first time. but then baby came and everything else followed.

But what does it mean if you're treated a princess for a day but treated like trash for a lifetime?

Wala.

So better be treated as his queen for a lifetime kahit hindi man maging princess, ok lang.

Lesson lang siguro for younger ladies in their early 20s, if non negotiable for you ang hindi magka church wedding, then huwag magpa buntis or mag live in or pumayag na lagi kang available sa kanya. He will marry you anywhere if he thinks you're worth his effort and all (of course provided worth it din si lalaki ng pagmamahal mo).

^I guess what I'm saying is most (not all, but most, some maybe unconsciously) of those who are already civilly married who wants a church blessing want the celebration, and not the blessing itself. Say sige, pumayag si husband for a church wedding, but he doesn't want a party, just the blessing sa church, I'm thinking maybe the wife would still want more than that. Kasi that's woman's nature eh, aminin man natin or hindi, women want that experience that goes with the blessing from the church.

IHMO....I don't think and don't even believe in church wedding.

Look, how may couples got married with church rites but they end up where? Separation if not in-fighting during their hey days while living together.

How many couples without the benefit of church wedding stayed together through thick and thin.

So in my belief, church wedding is just for the couple to be blessed with holy sacrament but not a guarantee that your marriage won't alter the course of being together.

Accoring to statistics, mas marami ang couples or mag asawa na nag hiwalay na ikinasal sa simbahan kesa sa couples na ikinasal lang sa civil rites.

Don't jump on me..It's just my HMO ..LoL

It doesn't matter kasal pa rin naman yun que church or civil wedding man. At the end of the day hindi naman dun naka-depend if the marriage will work or not e.
