uhm, i think mas madami nag rerequire ng academic. naku sis, if no definite plans yet baka ma expire yun IELTS kasi 2 years lang yun. dami ko batch mates, na expire mga ielts nila kasi right after boards nag take na sila.

Kunwari nakuha mo the following score, Listening=7, Speaking=7, Writing=6.5, Reading=6.5 anong total score mo? Average ba nun apat to get the total score?

Planning to take this also for visa processing kaso don't know where to start. Marami bang accredited center na pwede kuhanan ng IELTS or isa lang na accredited center sa buong pnas? Sensya na sa tanong mga sisses zero knowledge ako about IELTS.

^depende sa required na mameet mo. ang alam ko pag general 6points dapat, pag academic atleast 7 sa lahat.

alam ko meron sa ortigas at meron din sa makati.

i took up academic IELTS because i needed it to apply for grad school, pero di ko tinuloy yung sa london. yung sa school ko, hindi ni-require ang ielts bilang hindi English ang first language nila. and now, mag-eexpire na sya. pfft.

by the way, may idea ba kayo mga sis how to claim the IELTS certificate/ test results? i read kasi na the copy that they sent you eh yun lang yung marirelease nila for you. i lost mine when my previous apartment burned down while i was studying outside. so there. 1/4 na lang nung paper yung natira.

both took and passed gt and academic ielts last june..I hope it wont go into waste..for canada immigration and registration application sana..hopefully, pasok kami sa cap for immigrants this january..im using my academic ielts to apply in crnbc..sana mag-ok nman..

I passed academic ielts..unfortunately, Canada Immigration needs general training so I need to redo it..I had my self review..now need ko ulit wait ng isang taon to pursue my application kasi almost filled na ang cap for nurses. ..tama yung info ni sis honeybunny.. medyo nahirapan lang ako sa speaking pero 7 pa rin.. nahirapan ako kasi andito ako sa saudi and we speak arabic..nagdeteriorate speaking skills ko..

sis,are you a nurse? kasi sinabihan ako pag nurse daw natapos kailangan academic ielts ang itake. so why kailangan pa ng canada immigration ng general training? kasi ill be taking ielts rin baka dito sa rwanda while waiting for my employer sa canada.

IELTS. I took this exam twice. First time was for an application to study abroad. I passed each category (speaking, reading, listening, writing). Unfortunately, it took long for my visa to be granted (close to 5 years after taking the exam). So when the expiry hit 2 years, i applied for a visa in another country (which has higher IELTS standards) and took the exam again. This time, I passed with scores close to perfect. I guess the saying "practice makes perfect" fits the situation. 

I applied at British Council in Ortigas. The review materials are free once you apply. You just have to exert effort, go out of your way and utilize the resources there. Imagine, I used to review there every morning then drag myself to work in the afternoon. It was exhausting! But it was rewarding in the end.

How long does it take to review for the General Training exam?
I plan to take it in early December and I'm wondering if a month's review will suffice?

^^sis ayka yung free po ba yung review materials sa British Council once na nagregister na? and hardcopies ba yung materials na ibibigay or free access dun sa nasa site nila or review sessions mismo sa office nila? hope you could help me
