any idea about IELTS?  is there anyone here who already experienced to take the exam?   how was it, please give me some tips.....      how about review center, fees, etc.    this is one of the requirements i need to submit for my visa application and i dont have any idea about it

You dont really need to have any experience. If your english is good and you can write read and listen it. You are trained.

^^i attended The Princeton Review last 2008, nasa 5,000 php for the whole review and unlimited review yun until you pass the exam.

if my memory serves me right, yung IELTS it has 4 exams, reading, writing, listening, speaking. depende sa requirement mo, pag academic ang required score is 7 highest is 9. pag yung general required is 6.

you need to pass all of the exams kasi pag yung isa bagsak, bagsak na lahat.

around 8k-9k ang exam nila.

question ko din to, sooner i will apply for visa talaga, it is time ba na mag exam na kahit na 2 yrs lang ang validity kung makapasa man? pano kung by the time na ma-approve visa ko or mag aaply pa lang ako ng visa tapos na validity, e di uulit ulit ako? and also ano po aaplayan pag for visa requirements, academic or yung general ba yun? thanks!

I passed academic ielts..unfortunately, Canada Immigration needs general training so I need to redo it..I had my self review..now need ko ulit wait ng isang taon to pursue my application kasi almost filled na ang cap for nurses. ..tama yung info ni sis honeybunny.. medyo nahirapan lang ako sa speaking pero 7 pa rin.. nahirapan ako kasi andito ako sa saudi and we speak arabic..nagdeteriorate speaking skills ko..

Took IELTS April 2009. I wasn't able to apply it for the visa screen. Sayang. And since 2 years validity lang yun, expired na sya last April 2011. No choice but to re-take it should my petition becomes current.

Madali lang naman ang IELTS. Ang pinakamahirap for me is the writing part. I write a lot. My instructor told me when I was still reviewing that we have to be very concise and be editorial-like in style.

We have a thread for IELTS na before. Will check if it's still existing. Mas madaming tips dun.

emily2008, may online classes po ako eh.. highpoint ielts po ang name sa may sta mesa area.. bagong review center pero ok naman personalized. gusto mo refer kita?

took ielts on 2009..enrolled in a review sessions and i'm happy to get good ratings..
ang number one tip ng reviewer sa writing at interview, in giving answers it is easier to think fictional rather than answering all questions basing on real life experience. and that's what i did.. mas madaling gumawa ng kwento.. sa interview naman magugulat ka nalang kasi mapapagaya ka sa accent ng interviewee..

i just received my ielts score, anyone here asked for it to be rechecked since my scores are 8.5, 7.5, 7.5 and 6.5 in writing, i need a 7 in all subtest.
