haha parang another thing in common from this author, may character na obsessed to find the truth.

And I cant find this book on wikipedia!!!

Edit: Emma finds the granny necklace and doesnt mention it to her parents or sutton... Why? And why wasnt sutton wearing it anyway?

A new meaning to the lying game:
In the book, the "lying game" referred to a secret clique that Sutton and her friends created to pull pranks on their classmates, including those in the group. Emma soon wonders if one of the jokes led to Sutton's murder. In the series though, Pratt says the lying game takes a backseat. "It's brought up at different times, but as something they did in the past," he says. "The actual lying games don't really tie in [to the show] because they tied into the murder [in the book] that we're not doing. We kept the title ... because the switch that these two twins have done is one big lie and almost every relationship and every story is based on lies and truth issues."

Interesting... So parang hihiramin lang pala nila yung title. Hehe

I thought kasi the whole point of the book was a dark mystery thriller to find out who killed Sutton and why. Looks they're going to focus more on finding the mother noh? And love stories, gossips and backstabbing targeted for teens/tweens. I read pa nga that they intentionally added more male characters for eye candies. Lol. Sigh.

On another note. May version din ang the CW na ganto - The Ringer (?)

Ang labo ng ginagawa nila. Sana di nalang sila nang-hiram ng novel.

New faces:
As seen in the clip below, it doesn't take long before Ethan figures out that his secret girlfriend Sutton has been replaced by her twin. Although Ethan and Emma become close (he's the only one aware of her secret), Pratt wanted to give him a male figure he could talk to, hence a brother. "Tyler Christopher plays Dan the cop ... and seems to be connected to our District Attorney [Pasdar] from way in the past."

Pratt says the book was also lacking lots of hunky male characters necessary for a good teen soap. "Derek (Ben Elliott) is a laid back guy who's been in trouble with the law and gets involved in the story," Pratt says. "He becomes a love interest for Char, and she's in a very dangerous high-stakes love affair with a guy who shouldn't be falling in love with this rich girl, but he is." Laurel's sister also gets a b.f. "Randy Wayne plays Justin Miller, who comes in the third episode. You start to wonder about him because: Is he too good to be true? It's also very interesting to see him fit into the family and how it plays into sibling rivalry."

^Wahaha the book lacks hunky male character necessary for a good teen soap. Eh hindi naman kasi nasa isip nung author na magiging TEEN SOAP ang bawat book na gagawin niya. Susmio, gumawa nalang sila ng story kung papalitan din nila lahat.

actually buti nga iniba nila yung story kasi hindi magandang iadapt sa tv yung books ni sara. pwede 1 season lang! medyo hindi maganda yung casting nila dito parang walang lovable ang face haha! pero so far so good (hindi naman nakakainis)

Always naman. Gossip Girl sobrang layo din ng story sa book vs. TV. Pero tama, pahiram nya lang title and characters nya, pera na.

I think kasi the whole core of the story is Sutton as a ghost and finding Sutton's murderer and the reason why she was killed. Now, sana kung the director wanted a whole new approach sana nag hire nalang siya ng screen writers and storyboard members to share his vision.

At least sa PLL, andun parin yung story na mystery of Ali, sa Gossip Girls well, andun parin yung gossips, plotting and backstabbing. Sa game of thrones andun din yung feel ng book.

I did a little searching sa forums and Pratt nga daw isn't that good. Hehe.

Tapos there was another PR i read that they may axe Sutton.. Eventually.. Pero now kasi mas relatable daw for watchers the search for their real mother. 

 sana nga maganda nga yung mapproduce nilang "adaptation" .

Offtopic: i'm super excited sa The Ringer!!!!! I have high hopes for The CW, at sana hindi teens/tweens ang target nila.

Nakaka excite at nakaka curious ang series na to, 4 episodes pa lang right?

Pero ang daming inconsistencies and mga kalabuan, like sa trailer sabi Sutton was murdered daw, hindi naman pa la, Sutton's sister, di ko ma gets bratt ba siya, kontra-Sutton or what?Sa umpisa ang taray niya kay Sutton tapos after ilang epi parang kawawag kawawa. At pano nila natunton yung umampon kay Emma from Beverly Hills? I doubt Ruth Peterson knows him eh.

So far ang understanding ko dito, kung totoo yun sinasabi ni Ruth Peterson(the woman who signed their Birth Certificate but is not their mother). Sutton and Emma's mom was in bad shape, Ruth was forced to sign the Birth Certificate, real mother nabawi si Emma from rich family from Beverly Hills, siguro ni-try niya din bawiin si Sutton pero hindi pumayag yun umampon sa kanya. Siguro nun nabawi niya si Emma something happened at nauwi si Emma sa poor family hehe, ugh, kelan ba next epi kakabaliw
