@ stylus sorry sis nakakapanic ba ako. OC kasi ako, not to mention overseas bride here. Sa May pa lang ako uuwi to finalize all the details and loose ends. hehe. May mga kulang pa kaming suppliers and so far kaya nagpapanic ako. Plus gusto ko sana mas maaga makabili if ever para makapagpadala na agad at ma cross out ko na sa list ang PS gifts. Mga souvenirs kasi namin eh ako ang gagawa. Kaya nangangarag na din ako. Para hopefully sana by end of Feb eh mapadala na namin sa Pinas yung mga DIYs, tokens and other things needed for the wedding. Not to mention mga pasalubong pa na ini expect. Hay .. hehe

^ grabe sis sa sobrang pag iisip ko kagabi. First time ko nagka wedding nightmare!! Now i know the feeling ng mga kinukwento ng ibang sis! Sabi ko before "echos naman yung wedding nightmare" pero grabe kagabi napanaginipan ko yung buong wedding ko!! Tapos puro sablay daw! Ouch! Wahahaha!!

Anyways.. in between christmas and new year din namin balak ifinalize yan. Medyo busy pa kami. Ang bilis lang talaga matapos ng araw kahit gustuhin namin,  di na namin maisingit yung wedding preps..

How about buying bath sets sa crabtree and evelyn, magandang brand din yun  and maybe cross pens for the male PS or cufflinks kung alam mong madalas sila umattend ng formal affairs.

For male PS we gave each a bottle of imported whiskey. For female PS we gave each a personalized wooden box with their names engraved, inside it are personalized letter cards, and a shawl.

We got cheeseboards for our principal sponsors Got a good deal for them kaso they're not yet personalized. Any idea where I can have them engraved/ wood carved? Thanks!

Ang hirap magisip ng giveaways for principal sponsors. Rachebelli wines sana kasi we paid a reservation na a year ago kaso i'm having second thoughts about it. Thinking if ok yung TWG na naka tin can or Givenchy towel.

Some ideas for ninong & ninang souvenirs:

In a recent wedding I attended, the ninongs and ninangs were given coffee beans and mugs. The mugs had a printed message from the bride and groom. Not the usual na Thank you for coming to our wedding stuff. Message talaga from the couple. Short lang, around 2 sentences. And then handpainted photo ng couple.

Another souvenir for ninongs and ninangs that I like is a set of photos taken during the reception. Since this wedding happened back in the late 90s, SLRs and digital cameras weren't the in thing yet. The principal sponsors' tables had four 12-exposure Kodak films and a disposable camera. This was used for taking photos during the event. As soon as naubos na 'yung film, it was given to the bridesmaids for developing (may naka-standby). The photos were then given to the ninongs and ninangs. This is easier to do nowadays kasi may Instax na. Hindi na hassle ang developing ng film.

The 3rd one is for couples na religious or spiritual. My cousin handed out rosaries inside a pouch as souvenirs sa principal sponsors. For the women, the pouch was pink; it was blue for the men. The pouches were embroidered with the couple's names.

I think it's ok lang naman, sis. Samahan mo nalang ng simple (but nice) na lalagyan. A pouch or something. Also, mas ok if personalized siya, para mas ma-appreciate ng mga PS mo. A better idea would be to give out lotion/body wash for female PS and then siguro pabango sa male na mga principal sponsors. There are some guys kasi na hindi mahilig sa lotion and/or body wash. So, para safe, pabango nalang 'yung sa kanila. May mga affordable naman nga mabango and long lasting yung fragrance.

It will be more practical for you also if makakita ka ng wholesale supplier. If ever magawa mo 'to, cheaper yung magiging expenses mo. Mape-personalize mo pa yung mga gifts/souvenirs mo.

Ok naman anything for the PS, basta alam lang nila na kayo talaga ang pumili and given from the heart.

OMG. Naging nightmare ko ito kagabi. I just realized I roughly have 34 days before my wedding. Wala pa kaming gifts for the Ninongs and Ninangs.

I searched online last night and settled for a watch box/organizer. Sa Dapitan nalang ako kukuha at hahanap, tapos layout ng sticker. then paprint sa Robbie!

We're thinking of giving japanese tea sets for our female PS and japanese sake sets for our male PS.  Meron ba na nabibilan na ganyan sa Pinas? Not sure kasi kung saan. We found some in Little Tokyo. So still unsure if we should just purchase it here or maghanap sa Pinas, but baka kasi magahol kami sa oras as I'll only be arriving sa Pinas one month before the wedding.

^Gourdo's used to have sake stuff. Not sure lang if meron pa. I'll check pag nadaan ako. There used to be this cute little store/restaurant in G4 called Sakura. Not sure if open pa sila though. Or there's Muji para safe Little Tokyo saan sis? Where you reside now? Coz meron din Little Tokyo in Makati. HTH!

@corpsebride -  Little Tokyo where I reside now. Thanks very much. Didn't know na may Little Tokyo  din dyan.   We wanted to give them something different. My husband loves  Japanese from food to art to manga and anime. I am a tea drinker hehe. Although we are also going for something economical. Since we are sending a box home, we were thinking na just to send it early.

Hi guys! Do you think giving slippers will do for ninong and ninangs? Wala na ako talaga maisip guys. So plan namin is to buy havs then wrap na lang namin medyo rustic touch na wrapper.
