( This will be a long post and i hope you'll find it informative )

For those who are planning to work here in Dubai, I will share my experiences and stories I heard on how most of the Filipinos went here and work.
2 ways to work here either go to an agency like IPAMS ( so far sila lang alam kong walang agency fee ) and the other one is by applying Visit Visa.
Madaling makakuha ng visit visa if you have relatives here or if you have a lot of travel history.
How to apply : for those who have relatives here you should ask them to do the applying of visa. For the official requirement passport copy lang alam ko then the rest of the documents will be coming from your relatives na. Actually dadami lang yung documents kasi para sa mga immigration officer natin sa pinas.
You need proof or show them na you will be coming back sa pinas. So pwede kayong hingan ng documents stating anong work nyo sa atin etc. Another document is affidavit of support from your relatives here. In the paper, it should show where they work, position and even salary.
Yung visit visa dito, my 1 month, 2 and up to 3 months. Mostly opt for 3 months so dapat you have proof talaga na kaya kayo supportahan ng iistayan nyo dito.
And then pag complete na yung documents ipasend nyo na sa relatives nyo. You need to have
ALL THE ORGINAL DOCUMENTS, NO PHOTOCOPY lalo na yung
VISA.
Also pag pag byabyahe na kayo bukod sa ready documents nyo from your relatives, you should also prepare your other documents from your school at previous company.
These will be only used and shown to your interviews dito. Wag na wag nyong papakita sa mga immigration officer sa pinas kasi magkakahint na sila na you will look for a job here. Better put it in your check-in baggage kasi my naka-experience ng kawork ko dito na pinaopen yung hand carry luggage nya and nakita yung mga yung mga school documents nya and pina-off load sya nung immigration officer.
You should also present yourself properly. Dress properly, parang byahista lang ang dating. Also relax and dont panic once your in front of them. Show them na mag tratravel ka lang talaga dito sa Dubai.
Though may iilan na mababait na officer pero mas maigi ng prepared.
And for others who plan to get there BF's etc karamihan ng naririnig ko successful naman though di ko alam if anong mga tinanong sa kanya ng immigration sa pinas.
Once you arrive here in Dubai airport, you only need to show your passport, ticket and original visa not photocopy. Yun lang

www.cvwarehaus.com. I tried this one and its reliable though you also need to be careful. If a employer called you and tell you na you have interview at 7:00 PM at a certain hotel, then you know its a bogus.
and side note for "walk-ins", based on my experience napakaliit ng chance na i-entertain ka or i - allow mag pass ng cv sa mga offices on a certain bldg. Madalas pinapaiwan na lang ng guard yung cv sa reception area nila.
Field of job na gusto nyo applyan.Sales/Customer service ~ walk-in kayo sa mga mall,sa mga stores dito at saka online search.
Salary ( Initial offer )
Offer differs kung anong company
AED 2500 = Sports stores/Lifestyle
AED 2500 or 3000 = Clothing/Fashion brand
AED 5000 = high end brands like LV
Office/Call center ~ walk-ins for office work and online search

Salary ( Initial offer )
AED 2500 to 3000 = Entry level
AED 4000 to 6000 = Mid level
Sa call center, I heard it starts at AED4000
Hotel/Airports/Duty Free~ Online search and hotel walk-ins.
~ For Airports, mostly online or mga job fair sponsored nila
Salary (Initial offer)
AED 1800 to 2000 = Mostly sa hotel All-in ang offer, sa hotel ka titira and free food
AED 3500 = Airport (Airline)
AED 2500 - 3000 = Airport ( not airline )
AED 3500 = Duty free, so far maganda benefits nila and salary nila, accomodation and transpo provided and I think sa IPAMS my opening misan ng Duty Free
*Salary is just my estimations and experiences. Pwedeng tumaas or bumaba offer nila it will really depends sa company mo. Mostly din ng benefits comes with annual leave, tickets varies, karamihan offers yearly ticket meron din every other year, medical insurance included din.
*Mostly ng employers doesnt care if you finished school or not but still try to bring your school documents and make sure authenticated sila. They focus mostly sa experience mo.
*My mga nagsasabi na medyo mahirap makahanap ng work mga lalake dito but I havent heard it directly sa mga kakilala ko dito.
Share ko na din ang buhay sa Dubai.
Living in DubaiCost of living varies kung saan ka nag stay. If you have family here mas okey kasi may ka share ka sa accomodation and grocery expenses.
For me, my monthly expenses ranges from AED 2,200 to 2500 kasi im staying in a ROOM with another friend. But it can be lesser if you will opt to stay in a ;
PARTITION
( can be inside a room or sa sala and divided into 2 or 3 partition rooms using plywood with a door, accordion room divider or worst curtain ) or in a BEDSPACE, you can either rent the bottom or top part of a bed bunk with 5 or more other people in a room.
These are the usual FLAT (condo type with a 1-3 bedroom) set-up here in Dubai.
My mga villas (Townhouse/Apartment type) din na pwedeng rentahan but im not sure on how they set-up the place.
But all of them will be shared with other filipinos. It will start with a minimum of 6 and can go all the way to 15 or even 20 or worst 30. And if hindi naman kayo maselan, some flats are mix with other nationalities like pakistan, egyptian, lebanese etc.
You can check dubai.dubizzle.com and go to property for rent; under categories choose rooms for rent then in the other categories choose Apartment/Flat for rent.
So you can have a clear idea on what it looks like.
ROOM = AED 2500 to 5000 ( rare yung 2500, mostly yung my family dito at naghahanap ng kasama sa bahay ang kayang mag offer nyan but they do limit it 2-3 persons lang)
PARTITION = AED 1500 to AED 2500
BED SPACE = AED 700 to 1000
*all prices are per head
Prices of bahay varies din kung san katirira. If the place is near metro or mall medyo higher.
Karamihan ng filipinos or we call ourselves here KABAYAN ( you'll get used to it once your here ) stays in this 3 common areas;
DEIRA - (street names) Al Rigga, Al Muraqqabat etc. This place is similar to Quezon city, kaliwa't kanan ang establishments. Walking distance lang mall and fastfood chain. Crowd here is tama lang. And malapit sa metro 2 - 5 mins walk.
BUR DUBAI - (steet names) Bur Dubai, Al fahidi etc. Hindi pa ako nakakatira sa area na ito so im not too familiar with the establishment around but this one is almost similar sa Makati, mostly business around so medyo mahal bahay dito ng kaunti pero mas less ang crowd. 5 - 15 mins walks to metro.
KARAMA - Almost DEIRA like but metro distance is like 10 to 15 mins walk.
SATWA - I heard they call it Little Manila. Mura bahay but for the crowd I find it matao and literal na maraming ibang lahi like Indian, Pakistan. Roads are small ( some part of satwa ) so houses are near to each to other. Metro is far from this place, you need to take a bus to reach metro.
