Alternative cure for myoma/ovarian cysts

Hirap ng may myoma. Hindi ko rin maiwasang hindi mag meat kasi need ko sya ngayon. Now that I'm preggy, yung dating 2cm ko naging 5cm, at malaki chance ma cs ako dahil naka pwesto sya sa dadaanan ni baby. I have other 3 pa na around 2-3cm naman. Sana pwedeng isabay nalang pag alis pag nanganak ako.

I just had my second consultation sa new obgyn onco yesterday to show her the results of my trans v and breast ultrasound. It showed in my trans v that I have andemyosis and mejo kumakapal uterus, and I have 2 breast cysts (which kumonti na compared to last 2014)

she said that if I wanna have kids pa, I better do it now, as in asap. because endometriosis and ademyosis, which I both have, are degenerative diseases/conditions that gets worse over time. alam naman natin there is no other cure but to take out everything or menopause.

Altho I have no plans of having another kid, I felt very depressed hearing this..and once again I felt the desire I had before to have a baby boy. I do not know what the future will bring, I do not know if I will change my mind, but I want to prolong this uterus of mine to still be able to have a baby as long as I can.. just in case. parang ayoko magsisi na pinabayaan ko nalang ito to deteriorate in time. 

Has anyone heard of Dr.Homer Lim? my mom texted me his details which a friend recommended that I see. He is a natural oncologist and acupuncturist and his clinic is in La Consolacion college in Mendiola. any reviews about him?

CS ako sis and nadiscuss ko rin yan kay OB during check ups pero sabi nya risky daw galawin ang myoma during pregnancy. yun cyst ko daw pwede nya alisin. Tas ayun nun nauwi na ko sa CS, niremind ulit ni hubby ko sa OB ko yun myoma and cyst bago pumasok si doc sa OR. Pero yun nga ganun pa rin sabi ni OB kaya yun cyst lang yun inalis.

pagkakaalam ko rin kasi di advisable alisin yun myoma unless it is causing you pain, heavy bleeding mga ganun. kasi nagsshrink naman daw mga yan ng kusa kapag nag menopause na. yun friend ng husband ko pinatanggal yun myoma nya kasi TTC sila. sadly di kinaya during operation yun blood loss.

^super sis. nagulat nga ako nun nabalitaan ko yun kasi kakakasal lang nila tapos umuwi lang sya ng pilipinas para magpaopera ng myoma. kung yun nga di pa sya buntis pero ganun na nangyari sa kanya, what more pa pag pregnant tapos isasabay na alisin myoma? e during pregnancy there is an increased blood supply sa uterus natin para kay baby. that is why may tendency din na lumaki myoma during pregnancy kasi madami syang "supply" ng blood.

oo sis ask mo na lang ulit. baka naman may types (? ) ang myoma na pwede alisin without causing too much blood loss. pero be on the safe side na lang. mahirap naman may baby ka nga pero wala naman syang mommy.

Katakot naman yung sa fren mo sis lakwatsa. 4 operation pa naman yung mga myoma ko. 5 lahat sila kasi sobrang lakas na ng bleeding ko during period. Natakot naman ako. I just had 4 bags of blood transfused this month due to severe anemia caused by heavy bleeding pag may period. Napapaisip tuloy ako...

^^^binasa ko uli yung previous post mo sis -- yun friend ng husband ko pinatanggal yun myoma nya kasi TTC sila. sadly di kinaya during operation yun blood loss.  -- you mean namatay yung wife? katakot! kung sabihin ni OB na madugong type yung myoma ko, baka i'll opt nalang for injection, feeling ko GNRH yung sinabi nya before na makakatunaw daw ng myoma. nung una kasi target talaga is NSD ako, pero nung nakita ang laki ng myoma sa dadaanan ni baby, sabi malamang CS ako. na mind set ko na rin na CS talaga ako, ok na rin kasi takot ako sa labor pains.

^Around 40k less Philhealth na but that was year 2008 Medical City Ortigas using my healthcard Valuecare that time. 500 lang binayaran ko sa miscellaneous.

Ask ko [textspeak!] sino sa inyo dito ngkababy na kahit may intramural w/ submucous myoma? I'd 3.9cm kasi, advise ng doctor sa akin 3 injectable shots para lumiit yong myoma cost 8k per shots, then after that hysteroscopy agad cost 60k.

Nakakadepressed naman mga ka- TTC

stumbled upon this topic while randomly going from thread to thread....
I will share with you some the things that I know about myoma since I suffer from it - 1 which is really big, and several small ones.

You can have a myomectomy where only the myoma will be removed, leaving the uterus intact. pero this will incur blood loss talaga kaya during the operation, there is blood transfusion. There is no way around the blood transfusion since there is a tendency to have excessive blood loss. I wanted to have this procedure and searched a doctor who can do this and found one who's technique reduces excessive blood loss- $20,000 minimum.

Meron din laparoscopic procedure to remove the myoma only. I have a cousin in Arizona who works in the hospital unit who does this procedure and encouraged me and discussed this procedure further. Sabi nya he will refer me to the head OBGYNE.

Robotic arm is one procedure pero may nabasa ako that there should be some precaution using this technique since dapat proven that the object is not cancerous, otherwise, the technique will disperse the cancer tissue inside the body.

You can have partial hysterectomy leaving the ovaries intact so that early menopause will be avoided. This can be done via abdominal cut or also laparoscopy.  But not all OBYNE is trained to do laparoscopy.

There are drugs that can shrink the fibroid, but should be taken only for a number of months, preferably before a procedure to shrink the fibroid.

Taking the drug alone will shrink the fibroid, but once you stop taking the meds, the fibroid will grow back.

I took Fibristal (a new drug) for 3mos. The drug stopped my heavy bleeding, but did not stop the growth of the fibroid.

A few months back, I had a minimally invasive procedure called Uterine embolization. It was done by a doctor who specializes in interventional radiology. The procedure took about less than 2hrs and I was sent home after around 5hrs. I was given heavy pain medication after. Saw immediate improvement, my tummy really shrank and my period went back to normal.

The above procedure will not really get rid of the fibroid, but will shrink it. If you want no fibroid to grow again, then a hysterectomy is the only option.

My OB-RE never discussed to me about Hysterectomy. I'll ask her about it.

I think Hysteroscopy is different from Hysterectomy. Nilalaser daw yong myoma kapag hs, yon nga lang babalik babalik pa rin daw coz part of it lang naman ilalaser- yong kakapitan lang ng baby.
