grabe, flooded pala ang Spiral yesterday gawa ni typhoon Pedring! the seawall was destroyed by huge waves so pumasok din yung water sa Sofitel. i hope no one was hurt, and that maayos din nila agad yung area.

Super konti ng choices ng Sunset buffet, as in walang kwenta. natuwa lang yata ako sa lasagna pero the rest panget talaga. sorry fo the term pero disaster talaga. Anniversary dinner pa naman namin. sayang ang 999.00 dapat ng dad's na lang kami.

Waah! Looking forward pa naman ako sa Sunset buffet na yan next month! Hay! =(

^^korek yun na nga. kaya sana iextend nila ang redemption period ng mga CCP vouchers for spiral. di pa yata nila ina announce kung kelan sila ulit mag ooperate e. baka mahaba habang clean up and reconstruction period ang need nila dun.

naawa naman ako sa sofitel, favorite hotel ko pa naman ito dito sa manila sana once spiral is back, magkaroon sila ng promo hehe! pero sana i-extend muna ang mga CCP voucher holders na hindi pa nakapag-avail...

Sofitel evacuated all their guests yesterday and transferred them to other hotels. They will be closed for a minimum of two weeks. I am sure they will be giving considerations to vouchers expiring soon.

Plan ko pa naman gamitin yung 2 free overnight stay ko this October. Mukhang next time nalang.

Kawawa pa brother ko kasi siya nalang last na mag-birthday sa aming family this year tapos Spiral kasi kami palagi eh sarado kaya hahanap nalang kami ng iba.

I have to use my vouchers din sa last week ng October kasi uuwi ang fiance ko. Kaloka, sana magawa na by that time. I am really hoping na bilisan nila ang reconstruction kasi sobrang malaking income lalo ang mawawala sa kanila pag tumagal. Hay!

The Sofitel Philippine Plaza has temporarily suspended operations in some of its outlets and facilities, namely: Le Spa, The Poolside, Spiral restaurant, Fever Luxe Lounge, Philippe Tordjman Le Salon and The Zen Institute. Operations in these outlets andfacilities are expected to resume on 30 October 2011.

"MANILA, Philippines - Sofitel Philippine Plaza is set to resume operations on October 10, nearly two weeks after floodwaters caused by typhoon "Pedring" inundated the five-star hotel on the shores of Manila Bay.

Goran Aleks, general manager of Sofitel, said the hotel will be operational for guest rooms, banqueting and events.

The pool area, which was flooded after waves as high as coconut trees washed away everything in its path, will likewise be open starting next Monday.

"We are very grateful that all our guests and all Sofitel ambassadors remained safe and well throughout this difficult period. The Sofitel team was truly united in attending to every detail," Aleks said.

"We look forward to the opportunity of restoring affected areas of the hotel and emerging at an even higher level than before for the benefit of all our cherished and discerning guests."

Spiral, the hotel's buffet restaurant, will be "reconceived" after it was submerged in knee-deep waters.

Aleks said it is expected to be launched in the first half of next year.

"Spiral has been an iconic dining destination in the market since it opened in 2006. This now gives us the chance to offer the next generation an even more exciting dining experience, employing the latest concepts, styles and techniques," he said.

For now, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the hotel's other dining areas, he added.

Meanwhile, outlets on the plaza level are scheduled to open in the first weeks of November.

Guests of Sofitel were forced to evacuate last September 27 after floodwaters entered the hotel's lobby.

This as giant waves destroyed the two-decade old sea wall in Manila Bay, which was supposed to protect the hotel and other establishments in the area."

-- IMHO, it's a good idea for those who still have unused vouchers to get in touch as soon as possible with the group-buying site where the vouchers were bought from, or with Sofitel directly... para ma-verify nyo din how you can still redeem the vouchers you bought.

Call niyo yung group buying site na pinagbilhan niyo. Sila lang makaka-resolve nyang issue sa mga vouchers niyo.

So kung early next year pa maayos ang Spiral, walang New Year's party. Kasi sa labas ng Spiral yun palagi (with band) and sa loob din (with another band).

i asked them when will they resume since i have a voucher from cash cash pinoy

ms.charo told me i have two options
- avail the sunset buffet (every friday and saturday only)
- or wait for the spiral that will resume tentatively on january 2012, they will extend the voucher validity till august 2012...
