hi mga sis. just got back from CDO-bukidnon-camiguin tour.
so far we chose traveler's pod instead of mallberry or new dawne pensionne kc walang negative feedback sa tripadvisor. all i can say is gloomy siya pag dating, room is adequate not tiny as what was mentioned.
all i can say is that it's very cozy and service is really good. just one call away, instantly nandyan na need mo, i requested for a hair blower and towels and extra pillows..hehe.. dami kong gusto. staff is really friendly. I was able to check mallberry, the place was really really nice, naiingit ako yung nkta ko, how i wished we could have stayed there. it was really in front of limketka mall.
New dawne pensionne is really nice as well. near divisoria, i guess mas maraming affordable places to eat near divisoria than limketkai. like butcher's best (which is very famous) & dear manok. next time I would rather choose near divisoria, siguro kasi we never had any time to go to the mall anyways, since paguwi namin lagi kaming bagsak because of the activities, we just want a good place to eat.

me and my hubby went to bukidnon, not really suggested kung dalawa lang kayo, my god the travel!
yung habal habal 1k siningil samin, I was really disappointed kc sabi lang nia is 300 dalawa kme, d ko alam 1 way lang pala yun. and then yung pumunta kami sa del monte golf club to try their steak another P400 pa pala yun saming 2 ng hubby ko. tsk tsk. yun lang nagawa namin sa dahilayan. the steak in del monte club house is really big, as in huge talga, unlimited pineapple juice, pero OMG ang mga staff, sobrang sungit, poor service, ang tagal pa. tsk tsk tsk.

in camiguin we got kuya teddy, very welcoming, binigyan pa kami ng pastel box when we arrived.
11am kami nag start ng tour natapos kami ng mga 4pm. mabilis lang pala kaya pala 1 day yun. if only i knew d na sana kami nag overnight sa camiguin. in camiguin lahat ata ng nag carinderia, tawag nila restaurant, yung kumain kami sa sto. nino cold springs naka 700 kami agad! yung 1kilo na manok super liit and prang 1/3 at platito lang pro P300 na yun. mahal ang kainan dun.
mga sis when you go to camiguin maraming mgsasabing mapupuno na yung van sa agora terminal pero 5 hours pa talaga yun. we left traveler's pod at 2:30 am, sabe nung barker may 8 people na daw siyang contact, wala pala, talk  lang. take the yellow buys "bachelors" something, 1hr and 30 mins nasa balingoan port na kami. super bilis mg drive and no stop over.

before I forget, we ate nga pala at candy's in limketkai, I would compare it to conti's here in manila. and the cakes!!! amazing! I wanted to taste them all, big and worth the money.

ok ba ang location ng N Hotel? san yan malapit? i've tried pa lang kasi yung Maxandrea Hotel and Mallberry Suites which are both ok for me. Mas madaming bese ako nagstay sa Maxandrea dahil dun kami binubook dati sa office.

favorite ko sa cdo ang 'dear manok' na resto. super sarap and very affordable. favorite namin yung chicken skin (read: high blood) LOL

Mga sis may ferry pa ba sa  Mabalacan Port? 8.30 pa din ba ang alis pa-camiguin? and how much ang fare? TIA

mga sisses.. ilang oras kaya ma-consume mag-explore ng sumalsag cave and sa dahilayan adventure park?  paano po mode of transport to sumalsag cave saka how much kaya? tia.

mga sis ang masasagot ko lang na tanong for now eh yung question ni sis matetreyes. yung N hotel along Kauswagan highway siya. hindi siya sa sentro mismo ng city pero malapit lang, madali naman magtake ng cab. ok din ang malberry suites for me kaso naliliitan ako sa rooms nila. sa N hotel mas malaki.
Next time na bumalik kayo sis try niyo ang Tita Fannie's masarap ang chicken at liempo nila. unli rice pa

Hi! Going to CDO, camiguin and bukidnon on Sept 25-29.

Any suggested DIY itinerary? We are couple and problem ko is WWR. I contacted 2 rafting companies but they told me to contact them again 2 weeks before the activity.

Hi sisses i'm from CDO but last 2008 dito na ako MNL nakatira, may nabasa akong post dito about camiguin one day lang daw nila natapos ang tour lahat ba nang tourist pots napuntahan niyo? kasi i guess kulang ang one day kung lahat nang pwedeng puntahan ay napuntahan niyo. Marami nman mura na hotel sa CDO. about sa water rafting call kayo sa agency na nagmamanage nang water rafting by agency din kasi ang water rafting sa CDO. i don't know kung ok paba ang king williams ngayon na hotel. kung gusto niyo nang mura try niyo mag inquire dun. tapos near divisoria cogon at kung pupunta kayo nang limketkie malapit lang din siya.

hehe. i used to frequent cdo, iligan and ozamis kasi. and natrauma ako kasi once inabutan ako ng warla sa iligan, then minsan naman muntik na ko maholdap sa bus from cdo going to iligan. ang naaalala ko lang is yung way to iligan na medyo walang bahayan so yun yung naimagine ko na location ng N Hotel

kaya po camiguin 1 day. agora terminal ride the bachelor's bus ng mga 3:30am. Then sakay ng ferry ng 5:30am. you'll arrive at around 730am-8am.

para masundan yung itinerary and makita lahat:
first go to giant clam sanctuary-it's near the port.
katibawasan falls
old volcano trail
sunken cemetry
old church ruins
sto. nino cold springs
soda pool
white island ( opens only until 5pm)

kaya yan for 1 day.  kasi kami nagumpisa kami mag tour ng 11am natapos kami ng 4pm ng swimming lang kami sa ardent hot springs since dun lang may lilim. the rest are open area and it's really hot. nice to take a dip in katibawasan falls. ask kuya teddy they know the schedule for the ports to assist you much better.

sis 12- 13 ang tourist pots sa camiguin. tangub hot springs,Tuasan falls,Mantigue islands,Mt. hobok-hibok,Ardent hot spring sis. yang namention ko napuntahan niyo ba? kasi we've been there last summer  at may dalawang lugar na di namin napuntahan kasi kulang sa oras.

I have the same problem as yours sis. I'll be there on the 22nd till the 25th and were told also to call them back two weeks before the activity.

hi mga sis, regarding WWR, they will never be able to confirm, 2 weeks in advance. that happened to me. kagay is very reliable if you text them 1 day before your plan to WWR, so is red raft. that happened to us. but we were able to accomodate that was monday afternoon. kagay don't offer advance course only basic since its monday but redraft was able to. if you plan WWR on weekends, then you don't have to worry, kagay and redraft are always available basic-advance course on weekends, you wouldn't have any problem booking. not sure on weekdays thou. but i suggest you call them 1 day prior to your wwr plan date.

Just got back from a 4D-3N vacation in CDO-Bukidnon. Do-it-yourself (DIY) lang kami ni BF, no itinerary in mind, and nakatipid kami! Marami rin kaming hindi napuntahan, but "no regrets" sa mga decision namin. May rason kami para bumalik sa CDO. Hehe!

To follow na lang yung kwento. Pagod na me at may pasok pa bukas. Hehe!

Hi there. Couple din kami and we just got back from CDO-Bukidnon (6-9 Sep). DIY lang, & nakatipid kami.

Regarding white water rafting (WWR) - alanganin mag-WWR na 2 lang kayo kasi mahihirapan kayo magpaddle (plus the guide). Isasama nila kayo sa ibang grupo, hopefully may mag-arrange ng WWR on the same days na andun kayo. Kaya hindi pa sila makapag-confirm sa inyo. We finalised our WWR with Kagay the day before we actually did it. Sinama kami sa 1 grupo (8 pax) & mas mababa ang siningil sa amin (original quotation was P2k/head but pinagbayad kami ng P1k/head na lang).

Mas matagal ang biyahe papuntang Bukidnon kasi ginagawa yung daan. My advice is be flexible & always have an alternative plan. Hindi na kami nakapunta ng Camiguin kasi nagipit kami sa oras.

Before we left for CDO, BF & I relied on a travel website (www.pinoyadventurista.com) for recommended places to visit, how to get around since we were on a tight budget.

We arrived at CDO last thurs afternoon. We took the jeepney from Lumbia airport to Carmen Market. However, we got lost along the way to Plaza Divisoria. Tama yung sinakyan namin na jeep but it was going the opposite direction. Yung napagtanungan namin hindi marunong magsalita ng Tagalog. We checked-in at King Lawrence Inn. Rest for awhile then walked around. We were looking for Candy's but we didn't find it. (We went to Limketkai Mall but hindi namin nakita. Sabi sa amin nasa Plaza Divisoria daw so bumalik kami dun. Pero pag dating dun wala, nasa Limketkai nga. Hay!) We ended up having dinner at Barkadahan Grill.

We were supposed to meet with Kagay people at 7:30 am last friday but they picked us up at the hotel at 9 am. They said na nadagdagan yung group na kasabay namin kaya naghanap ng 1 pang jeep. We stopped by Macahambus Cave & zipline first, before heading to the river. Domino effect - late nagsimula, late natapos. We started at 11 am and ended at past 2 pm (advanced yung kinuha namin). We had late lunch/meryenda at past 3 at Tita Fannies, and freshened up pa. By past 4 pm, we realised we will not be able to make it to Camiguin that day. CDO to Balingoan takes around 1-2 hours travel and the last boat for Camiguin leaves at 4 pm. We immediately thought of Plan B - Bukidnon. Due to lack of research, we only realised the long (4 hour) travel to Valencia City when we were already in the bus. Luckily, BF has a friend/fellow mountaineer who resides there (he gave us free accomodation, & free food). We arrived at Valencia City past 10 pm.

Saturday AM (my birthday), we went to Lake Apo - very serene place! We crossed the river via a bamboo raft & took a picture of the entire lake from the top of a hill. We wanted to stay longer but we were still aiming to go to Camiguin. We were on a bus back to CDO by lunch time but "epic fail" kami. We arrived at Puerto 4 pm. Going to Balingoan from there will take another 2 hours, impossible na'ng makapunta pa ng Camiguin since we were heading back to Manila the following day. No choice kami but to spend the last night at CDO. Finally, we were able to eat at Candy's. Kakaiba yung Tartufo cake! Napatakaw-tingin ako. Yet I considered it as a treat for myself. Hehe! We roamed the night market at Plaza Divisoria, hoping to find a souvenir shop (pero puros ukay-ukay, at kainan ang andun). We just rode the jeepney going around CDO.

We woke up late last sunday AM & had brunch at SM CDO. Duon na kami nakabili ng souvenir t-shirts, pastel (Missy Bonbon). Then, we headed to the airport.

I had regrets though - I should've experienced the zipline at Macahambus if I'd known earlier that we were not going to Dahilayan. Well, we have lots of reason to go back to CDO. On the good side, I loved my company (yiheee!) and nakatipid kami. I spent roughly around P5K lang on our trip (compared sa quotation sa amin na P7750/head).
