Last Aug. 10 pa kami nag apply ng passport ng family ko until now di pa dumarating. Kailangan ko na bang mag follow up? regular is 15 days right?

^15 business days kasi yan, madami tayong holiday nong august so baka delay ng konti ang delivery.

yes sis meron na sa sm megamall. may question ako if green passport holder ka pwede pa rin ba i apply yun as renewal or as new application na?many thanks sis

@Starlust, thanks. I decided not to renew my passport muna. I will renew my US visa and use my maiden name pa rin. Wala naman daw magiging problem sabi sa US Embassy.

Sa Feb pa naman yun trip ko, aabot sa 6 months period na di pwede magtravel. I want mapa-renew agad para no hassle

Aug 10 din ako nag-apply...dumating na passport ko kahapon, ang sabi nga sakin nung nasa dfa ako, sept 5 ang delivery kasi sept 4 ang release...wala ka bang na-receive na text from Air21?

starust- basta ba foreign national yung husband I have to obtain such cfo? We wont be based abroad till 2 years from now naman. Vacation here and there lang. Less complicated lang (i think) if I include my husband's name in my passport na.

^Yes. Even if you're travelling for vacation kailangan daw yung certificate. Then if you're migrating permanently, you will need the sticker. 

In my case, I'm currently using my old passport with my maiden name - I'm going to France next week since I'm getting married there but coming back to the Philippines 1st week of October naman. My Schengen visa is technically a tourist visa but I was required to get the certificate.

Grabe I had no idea about this cfo thing. But I am glad our government is requiring such seminar.

yes mga sis required nga yang cfo  400 ang bayad pag senior kahit hindi na mag attend ng seminar pero dapat magbayad pa rin ng 400 para sa sticker. may nakasabay kami sa cfo office, nasa airport na daw sya di pina alis unless mag pdos muna sya, pati nga nephew ko na pabalik balik na sa canada eh ni required pa rin mag seminar kahit citizen ka na ng ibang country dapat mag attend pa rin. Di ko rin alam anong purpose talaga nun.

The process will take half a day. You'll fill out some forms, have your photo taken (digital), then watch a series of videos. Then there will be a group counselling session with a powerpoint presentation facilitated by a counselor. Then there's a 1 on 1 counselling session with her after that - mine was quick she only asked a couple of questions then she asked me to go downstairs to pay & wait for the release of the certificate. Yung iba kong kasabay took longer than me though.

They recommend attaching it to the last page of your passport kasi it's valid for a lifetime na daw. I didn't attach mine.

My husband was born in the states to Filipino parents thus entitling him to dual citizenship. He is a holder of a Philippine passport too. Kailan ko pa ba talaga mag cfo seminar?

He is more Filipino than me really, mas magaling pa siya mag tagalog sakin and he only lived in the states 7 years of his 27 years. lol Hindi ba marrying real deal foreigners lang yung cfo?

^ required pa rin daw ang cfo even if you have no intention of living abroad. Yan ang sabi ng babae sa akin nung tumawag ako sa kanila. I want to use my husband's surname kaso ang hassle mag seseminar pa.

vain_kixie if he still has a valid Philippine passport & has Filipino citizenship - Ibaka nga hindi na kailangan. Sa marriage contract nyo ba anong nationality niya ang nakadeclare?

hi! ok na sis na na received ko na din last Sept 4 LBC sa amin, actually just an hour after kong mag post dito sa GT nagulat ako biglang dumating. Passport namin ni hubby at baby ko. :-)

Buti open na yung DFA sa Megamall. Convenient since I work in Ortigas Area, no need na mag-travel. Called for appointment yesterday, scheduled na ako this Tuesday.
