cash values po ang tawag sa guaranteed accumulated money sa traditionals. and upon maturity doon mo makukuha ang kabuuang amount nang insurance. mas mahal sya compare to VUL's kasi yun nga, guaranteed ang mga figures except for dividends. the risk of giving such amount to the policy holder is soley shouldered by the company whatever the market is unlike VUL's.

parang ganito lang yan. binayaran mo ang 1 milyong insurance ng lets say 48k for 5 years. you are covered with that amount until age 100. you outlived the maturity date, 101 buhay ka pa rin,  ;D , kaya, ibibigay ng company ang kabuuang 1M.

yung mga walang cash values naman are the term insurance and they are very cheap.

ah so ayan yung parang "cash/money back" na tinatawag.

good night everyone. :)

Anyone here who has a Manulife Affluence Builder/Max?? I'm about to get one but I have questions pending answers thru my agent. I asked my agent to hold the policy while am at the 15 day cool off period.

Hope to get feedback from current policyholders of this product. Thanks!!

Traditional life insurance or VUL?

IMO, it depends on the person. If you're the kind who is very disciplined in keeping away a portion of your income as savings then might as well go with a whole or term life insurance then invest the difference.

But if you're the type who just can't control your spending, then go with VUL. It's a good way of forcing yourself to save and invest plus you'll have an insurance.  :D

may nakakaalam ba dito ng company na nagbibigay ng plan na nasa 10k lang per annum and can cover up to a Million.  I'm not talking about term insurance.  For example, I got a plan before 30k for 1m payable in 5years  ;D

sis if you get a sunlife maxilink prime, the insurance is TWICE of the face amount, so if you get like 500K face amount, it covers you 1M.  They have 10 years but not sure if they have 5 years paying period. I got mine kasi, 350K lang so it covers me 700K, i only pay around 16K annually, or 1300 for a month. Good thing about it kasi insured ka na meron ka pang savings after 10 or more years you can get it all or if you choose to get half of it, insured ka pa din as long as may money ka sa kanila. I plan to get it after 12 years for my daughter education.

sis parang maganda yan ah....pero parang medyo naguguluhan ako verify ko lang if tama ang pagkaintindi ko ha
 350k  covers 700k
16k *10 years guaranteed ba?
how much yung makukuha mo? So on the 20th year may pera na?
Sis pwede ko ba malaman age mo when you get it? I just want to know if it is mahal or mura. New policy lang ba ito?

sis korek 16K *10 years. How much makukuha? depende sa fund sis nung time na yun. But if you get all yung fund mu after 10 years, as in wala ka tinira, it means wala ka ng insurance sa kanila. But if you get half of your fund sis and leave it there, it means insured ka pa din. yes sis 700K yung cover if something happens(wag naman!) I am 24 yo. Yung amount na makukuha after 10 years is based on the fund value nung time na yun. Sunlife maxilink Prime yun sis.

sis its VUL product right? yung maxilink prime? what i know is paying period is not guaranteed. pwede require additional premiums if insufficient to pay after 10 years yung charges, its an investment though so nagdedepend parin sa account value, but what Im interested also is, what if after 10 years or more than tapos di na ganun kaya to pay for the charges? di ba parang mas ok yung fixed na 10 years ka na nagbayad tapos ok na yun ? for the rest of the remaining years wala ka na iisipin? kasi fully paid kana.? my thoughts lang..

sis ang alam ko 20k per annum til age 85 coverage, not term. yung isa naman mga 15k per annum payable in 10 years total coverage is 3M.

oo sis cassiopeia, hindi guaranteed yung paying period nun. i get it for insurance purposes din and the fund values din in the future kahit i-extend the paying period. But i still plan to get pure MF din.
