Hi gals! I have been reading a lot of topics re Batangas wedding and caterers as well.  But I would like to ask for your suggestions re venues and caterers in Lipa.

For church, you might want to consider St. Therese near Mt. Malarayat.  Maganda siya, maliit lang.

For the venues, check the following:
-Mt. Malarayat Country Club
-Cintai by Coritos Garden in Balete - http://coritosgarden.com/ (15min drive lang from lipa city)
-Blueroze Farm - http://www.blurozephilippines.com/
-Valentino Resort and Spa - http://www.valentinoresortandspa.com/ (this is in san jose already but it's just 15-20 mins drive from lipa city
-Punto Miguel in Balete - 20min drive from lipa city


For caterers, check mo juan carlo (which has a batangas office so i guess walang oot) and linda pe catering.

^^ for caterer, aside from juan carlo, you might like to try "On The Big Day Catering by Abeth Catindig".  coming from la-salle going to city proper, lagpas lang ng konti ng mcdo yung shop nila.  yung nasa kanto ng short cut going to robinson's (sorry forgot the street name).  it's actually a one-stop shop so if there's anything else you need meron sila marerecommend.  if you need their contact details just pm me.

Thanks mga sis.  I'm actually from manila but bf is from lipa.  I am actually eyeing St. THerese, you can actually feel the solemnity in this church but then ang konti lang ng lalakaran. hehe  We also have checked Mt. Malarayat twice na.  Naiinis na nga ako kase hindi naman nila ini-email yung package. Nakakairita.

I asked nga Ms. Anj of Madels if pwede sila mag cater kase mura lang sila and maganda naman mga reviews but then kung aabutin ng mahal baka sa iba na lang.

I asked nga Ms. Anj of Madels if pwede sila mag cater kase mura lang sila and maganda naman mga reviews but then kung aabutin ng mahal baka sa iba na lang.

sis pwede mag cater ang Ma Del's sa Batangas. mura lang naman rates nila. Kami kasi Laiya pa pero pumayag ang Ma Del mag setup dun. Ask mo nga lang yun venue mo muna baka kasi meron sila accredited na suppliers eh.

Hi mga sis, Congratulations! Natuwa naman ako sa thread na to, kasi I'm also from Lipa and just had our wedding last September 10, 2011. Here is the list of my suppliers:

Photo and Video:

The Wedding Projects- up and coming team sila ng photographers from Manila sila 43k lang namin nakuha [textspeak!] package namin. Our package includes: free pre-nup session (plus 3k for out of town fee), 3ccd video, photobooth, AVP for pre-nup slide show, coffee table wedding album, guest book and wedding highlights video.

Church:
Our Lady of Miraculous Medal in Fernando Airbase -i love the minimalist design of the chapel, the airconditioning and the big glass windows sa side that makes the chapel look bright.

Reception Venue and Catering
Bluroze Farms in Lodlod - Super nice kausap ni Bong, he's the one incharge of booking receptions. We got the kamagong pavilion and super nice ng pagka-style nila sa place.

Hair and Makeup
Georgia Reyes - Super nice nya and professional, and i don't look to made up parang ang ganda ko lang talaga hehehhehe.

Coordinator, Wedding Cake and Bridal Car
Sugar and Blooms - thumbs up ako sa kanila, naexecute nila ng maayos [textspeak!] mga gusto namin ni hubby sa church and reception.

^ sis, never pa namin napuntahan yung church na yan sa fernando airbase. ok ba ang food sa bluroze? 
i have also inquired sa malarayat kase sobrang gusto ko talaga dun but it's really expensive around 140k+  for 100 persons which includes the venue and the food.  Kamusta naman, eh di dito na lang ako sa manila. Pero titignan ko pa rin kase if sa batangas ako, gusto ko talaga sa malarayat.

okay naman yung food sa bluroze,almost lahat naman ng guest nasarapan sa food and nagandahan sa venue. First option din namin ni hubby ang Malarayat kasi from their website parang sosyal and maganda yung pagkaset-up ng place and parang sosyal [textspeak!] food. Pero, based na rin sa feedback ng mga naikasal na dito sa lipa hindi masyadong masarap yung food and sobrang konti ng serving size.

Sa Bluroze [textspeak!] package namin madaming food, madami kang pwedeng pagpilian na menu for fish, chicken, pork, seafood, vegetable and appetizers.

Hi sis supladitang cute! When is your wedding? have you decided na if sa lipa or not? I wanted also sa Malarayat kaso expensive nga sya and di pa nagrereply sa emails. One time after several na pangungulit via phone, nagsend sila ng package pero nung magrereply ako failed naman yung mail kasi full na daw inbox nila! hehe.

We were eyeing din Shercon yung Club manuel Resort in Mataas na Kahoy kasi mukhang okay din sya. This year [textspeak!] yung hall na yan, if im not mistaken July or August yung inauguration. If you want to check, eto yung set up ng Austers Catering. Sila kasi yung partner caterer nila.

In the end naman parang mas gusto namin yung mas malapit sa Church and mas nagustuhan namin yung set-up ng Anfa Royale so malamang dito na lang yung reception.

Hi sis... i haven't attended a wedding sa Mt. Malarayat pero I spent a month there for a crash course on something. Medyo matabang yung food nila and most of us opted to dine out instead. Place is ok pero not that great. IMO lang naman. =)

Hi mga sis. For those eyeing Valentino Resort, maganda siya and tahimik. Madali lang naman siyang makita and mabilis lang ang biyahe from Lipa. Siguro around 20-30mins (walang traffic) from St. Therese church.

Valentino is an open space, and they also catering services starting at P375/head. Yung open space, meron namang roof talaga. Just imagine a clubhouse minus the sliding doors and glass walls.

For caterers, you might want to check out Cesca's Kitchen. They have separate rates sa mga accredited reception venues like La Finca (which is just across St. Therese) and Cintai Coritos, to name a few. I haven't tasted their food yet, but maraming variety ang menu list nila and flexible. Their cheapest is P350/plate (3 main courses, drinks, dessert and a choice of appetizer, salad or soup). Nagke-cater sila ng mga events ng SM Lipa.

BluRoze is also known for their delicious foods, but they can be a bit pricey. Although sulit naman sa babayaran ninyo. It's a farm, so guests can roam around while the reception has not yet started.

La Finca can also be a good venue if you want an al fresco reception, but it costs P25,000 on venue alone. Accredited caterer nila ay Cesca's Kitchen.

Maganda ang Fernando Air Base chapel, but if you have expat visitors, hindi sila makakapasok dun kasi it's an air force camp, parang Villamor Air Base. I think chapel costs P6,500. May accredited florist din sila, but it's affordable.

Georgia Reyes is also a good makeup artist.  Puro positive ang feedback ng mga friends ko na ikinasal na siya ang HMUA. You might also want to check Ian Lipa.  Georgia charges P12,500 for 5 heads (airbrush bride).  Ian's a bit pricier, pero konti lang difference, and she offers free makeup to flower girls.
